[Update 2] Our issues have now been resolved and Blue Toad Episode 2 (and the Episode 1 + 2 Bundle) are now back on the store! We apologise again for the inconvenience.
[Update] Apologies for the inconvenience some of you have had with Blue Toad Murder Files Episode 2 (and the Bundle of Episodes 1 and 2), we are working on our error now, and will have the correct files up on the store for download again very soon.
Those of you who have already downloaded this content should delete the original content from your console, and then download the content again from your download list later today. As of writing this, the problem is still being rectified, but it should be resolved very soon.
Many thanks for your patience, and apologies again for the inconvenience.

Good morning – the store will be updated nice and early today, so I’m still a little bleary eyed
Our batch of special offers for the festive period begins today, but we’ll also be adding a few more titles next week too. From today though, you’ll be able to grab games such as Burn Zombie Burn!, Bomberman Ultra and Battlefield 1943 at lower prices.
Also following the firmware update last week, minis now join the fun on PS3, so you can now enjoy the majority of our minis on both formats.
Next week we’re updating the store on Tuesday the 22nd of December, and then that’s it for the holidays – normal service will resume from Thursday the 7th of January.
Finally, as a personal Christmas gift to some of you lucky, lucky readers, I have some codes I’ll be giving out over the next week – there is no competition to enter – all I’ll be doing is scouring your comments and giving codes out to those who have left constructive/commendable feedback (think of this as a ‘letter of the week’ type deal, except it’s more ‘comments of the week’). These codes will be sent from my store management PSN account and will give you your code directly, so it’ll be safe and secure.
Hopefully all the above will give you additional festive cheer, and I’ll see you in the comments as usual.
Laters!

Hey Mike,
Wicked update with the Peacewalker Demo,
Is it possible to list all the ps1 ports you’ve got in testing?
Just to give us a better idea as to what games are currently on the horizon…
Also…might be a good idea to start work on a ffix port for psp, i’m gagging for some more square-enix to come onto the psp!!

Hey you have not stated what the codes do or am I simply not reading probably?
Merry Xmas Mike from MrTHill (Twitter)
Posted on 17 December, 2009 at 12:32 pm by Mike Kebby
I’m just giving random codes to some readers (about 20/30), with some more given away on Tuesday (another 10/20) – no particular way to get them, I’ll just respond on the blog if I plan to give that reader a code (sending codes via messages on the PS3).
There are a few different titles I’m giving away, winners will be notified which title they have received in my pm on PSN).
Cheers

Greetings Mike
First let me say that you have and all the team have been doing a great work, it’s what makes the world of PlayStation spin!
I’m a long fan of Gran Turismo, and I couldn’t help to notice something that scared me a little.
I know that the Gran Turismo® 5 Time Trial Challenge is for the countries not entering the GT Academy, and the GT Academy 2010 Time Trial is for the entry countries.
But one thing scared me, Portugal was mentioned to be one of those countries to be part of GT Academy 2010, but my local store show the Time Trial Challenge instead of the GT Academy 2010 Time Trial.
Were there any last minute changes?
I expect to receive an answer soon, hoping that it’s just a minor error.
Cheers and happy holidays!

A good update this week, with lots of holiday cheer from all the price reductions! Shame about the lack of PS1 games but what can you do? Haha, definitely gonna pick up Burnout Paradise, don’t know why I haven’t done already!
Next week’s update has a lot to live up to! xDD

Most of the time when I come here to check the updates, I leave in despair. Disney games one week, no significant additions the other. It can make a man depressed (almost as much as you get, Mike, reading some of the comments I imagine.)
However, what a christmas present this update is, and it’s only 5 days until we get another one. The GT5 demo alone would have been a glimmering jewel, however, this is but one of many treasures available. The Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker demo, the Rock Band updates, that amazing price reduction on Dead Head Fred, The Sims 2 being added to the store, the Brutal Legend DLC.
It’s not often I feel the need to personally thank the face of a corporation, so Mike, thank you.

No problem at all, I’m glad most people seem pleased this week – that’s always a relief

A good update Mike, especially the MGS demo (can finally find out what they are actually talking about) and GT demo. Plus the comics updates yesterday and the minis update as well, nothing to complain about!
On the constructive criticism side I would like to point out:
1. Still no updates from anyone on flow patch (I realise this is not your area)
2. Blog videos still not viewable on PS3 browser (again not your bad)
3. T6 is now £15 more on the store than is available online (sorry to point this out but I would have loved in on my card rather than UMD)
4. A way to locate demos easily would be great
メリークリスマス! (merry christmas!)

I’ve been told the flOw patch should be out on Tuesday

Sorry for the double post but just had to mention that I don’t think I’ll be able to play the MGS Peace Walker demo or the GT5 time trial, it would make the wait for both just that much more unbearable.
Maybe just a little go…

Those are some impressive price cuts. If anyone out there doesn’t already have Puzzle Quest, that’s a price that makes it pretty much mandatory. I’m even considering buying the game *again* (that would be the fourth time, I think) just for the convenience of having it in handy PSP download form.
Looks like I’ll be giving Practical IQ a go as well – at that price I’d be mad not to.
With that and GT5 time trial, looks like Christmas just arrived early.

I forgott to ask, what are these codes you are talking about?
Posted on 17 December, 2009 at 12:36 pm by Mike Kebby
I have some codes for a few titles available on PSN – there is no specific way to get one, I’ll just resond to people here if I give one to them

Thanks for answering our questions about store updates since the beginning of the blog. You’re one of “our assets” making this blog even more informative than those the US blog as far as the store is concerned.
Don’t let misdirected criticisms about missing games get you down!

I never usually have to have anything complain about, and this week is no different.
) but the psp stuff is great
I can’t really say much about this though (no ps3
And the FF8 news put a smile on my face.
Just a quick question out of curiosity…
What does the QA process actually involve?
You hear it so much around here, but I can’t seem to find any information on it…
Another bonus, I didn’t have to stay up til 2:30am to see if there is anything I may by this week! (Sucks being in NZ)
Great job Mike and all others involved. You all should feel proud! :p

Wow, just look at all the goodwill and cheer around here today. Couldn’t be anything to do with the chance of a free code or 2, could it? lol
Good update today with plenty to keep us going over the festive period – thanx.
Do you know if there are going to be any new DJ Hero track packs coming soon and what they might be please?
Have great Christmas – you earned it!!!

Hi Mike. I’ve just been watching the Hustle Kings video on the store that was uploaded today and it says “out now” at the end. Does that mean that it should have been out today or next week?
Loving the unbelievably early update. Well done guys

Ooooh, going to have to get Blue Toad before Christmas. Also been wanting to play Braid for agggges, so glad it’s now on PSN. Just need to work out how to get money for these
.
Also Crash Team Racing for £2.39 is one of the best purchases you’ll ever make people, go and buy it! It’s one of the greatest PSOne games ever.
Annnd I’m still hoping for Suikoden (PSOne Classic) to come to PSN in Europe. I -need- to play that game again! Don’t suppose there’s any sign of it coming soon?

Hi Mike,
Another great update this week. I am planning to get the Brutal Legend content and I am looking forward to the Little Big Planet dlc.
I won’t be around on Tuesday so I will wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
I hope the New Year will bring you more success on the store and I hope you will receive less grief from people on this site in the future. Your hard work is much appreciated as ever and the commitment you have to the site and with the amount of comments you post you are the highlight of every Thursday. You do your best with the cards you are dealt and I just want to say Thank You.
I look forward to see what you bring to us in the year ahead. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Yours sincerely,
Lucreto

Nice update, I’ll be getting the Blue Toad bundle. Shame I already own most of the stuff on sale
Mike,
Any chance of some kind of blog post soon detailing what PSN games are coming to the store in early 2010? Everything on my watch list is released now and I don’t know enough about what’s coming up to make a new one.
Cheers,
Talvin

Oh Mikey, Mickey why do you tease me so,
I look out the window waiting for snow,
I look on the store at the Hustle Kings vid,
It says its out now ,if it is its well hid,
Will it be in the shop before Santa comes calling
If it’s not i’ll be crying and its not pretty me bawling
Just let me know i promise i’ll be quiet
But if its not out soon then i likely to riot
Have a great christmas Sir Kebby
PS also cant seem to post on the Blog from PS3 since 3.15

What did we do in the Netherlands, that our store is not fully supported?
This week Braid -> Not available in The Netherlands
Last week Hyperballoid HD -> Not available in The Netherlands
Why?
And are they coming later?

It’s just down to where the publisher decides to release their content, sorry.

@Hobgoblin,
You’ve definately got to get Burnzombieburn at that price!
Burnzombieburn is my favourite DLC Game of all time! The last level is so hard as well!
So everyone who hasn’t got it, get it!
Anyone know when Burnzombieburn Space is out?

Wow! I did complain about the quality of the updates before but this time it looks exactly the opposite. Finally I can see some special offers that I’ll use (no wonder – there are so many of them this time), the GT demo is here and of course the #1 is Singstar Viewer – watching others’ performances is gonna be a lot of fun (and maybe we’ll even finally buy a Singstar for PS3).
However, I have two comments:
1) Whenever I see a special offer I have to visit some “fan made www page” to check whether the game supports trophies or not. And then I still cannot be sure if this is valid for my region. Would it be possible to include this information somehow in the ps store?
2) It’s about Singstar. Like I wrote above, we’re thinking about buying it (we played a lot on PS2). However, it would be really much, much more convenient to buy it as a digital download. It’s a perfect game to be used without a CD in the drive, especially when additional songs are available for download. Are you planning on releasing Singstar in the PSN store?

Sir Michael Kebby. You are a wonderful man. I wish you and your family a happy christmas. I hope you will be sneaking off from xmas dinner for some PS3 time
Great update this week, cant wait for FF8 to come in the new year.
Also, how many episodes is the Blue Toad game?
Posted on 17 December, 2009 at 12:47 pm by Mike Kebby
Thanks
Haha.
Blue Toad has two episodes this week (note: you need the first in order to play all the other episodes)and a bundle of both episodes too.
Hope that helps, have a great xmas.
