[Update 2] Our issues have now been resolved and Blue Toad Episode 2 (and the Episode 1 + 2 Bundle) are now back on the store! We apologise again for the inconvenience.
[Update] Apologies for the inconvenience some of you have had with Blue Toad Murder Files Episode 2 (and the Bundle of Episodes 1 and 2), we are working on our error now, and will have the correct files up on the store for download again very soon.
Those of you who have already downloaded this content should delete the original content from your console, and then download the content again from your download list later today. As of writing this, the problem is still being rectified, but it should be resolved very soon.
Many thanks for your patience, and apologies again for the inconvenience.

Good morning – the store will be updated nice and early today, so I’m still a little bleary eyed
Our batch of special offers for the festive period begins today, but we’ll also be adding a few more titles next week too. From today though, you’ll be able to grab games such as Burn Zombie Burn!, Bomberman Ultra and Battlefield 1943 at lower prices.
Also following the firmware update last week, minis now join the fun on PS3, so you can now enjoy the majority of our minis on both formats.
Next week we’re updating the store on Tuesday the 22nd of December, and then that’s it for the holidays – normal service will resume from Thursday the 7th of January.
Finally, as a personal Christmas gift to some of you lucky, lucky readers, I have some codes I’ll be giving out over the next week – there is no competition to enter – all I’ll be doing is scouring your comments and giving codes out to those who have left constructive/commendable feedback (think of this as a ‘letter of the week’ type deal, except it’s more ‘comments of the week’). These codes will be sent from my store management PSN account and will give you your code directly, so it’ll be safe and secure.
Hopefully all the above will give you additional festive cheer, and I’ll see you in the comments as usual.
Laters!

Hi Mike (hey, we share the same name)
Just like to say, fantastic update this week. I think we should all be calling you Father Mike as it feels like christmas every week when you give us your bag full of goodies (well almost every week). lol. Again thanks for the bumper filled update this week.

Cheers Mike!
Jeez though – when was the last time Neversoft gave us decent GH DLC? Rock Band gets quality tunes every week. I can’t remember the last good GH song I saw available :\

Fantastic to see Braid finally arrive on the PS3. It always “felt” like a PSN title and I’m delighted to see it come home.
It’ll sit nicely alongside my flOw, flOwer, PJ Shooter, Linger in Shadows, Trine, Battlefield 1943, Burnout, Fat Princess and all the other titles that make the PSN the most versatile experience on a console.
Also great news that we’ll be seeing FF8 in January. Will it be before the 20th? I’m flying to Whistler on the 20th and FF8 would be a great way to pass the time.

So, US are going to get Final Fantasy VIII.
Are we ever going to see another “Classic”? or have SCEE given up?

Holy moly!
That is one big awesome uppdate. Serious candy for me and the Mrs. Both to the PS3 and PSP.
Hoping there will be a cross-game-chat next year *fingers crosed*
Thanks for a great year and keep up the good work.
Happy holidays

Nice up update Mike, some great offers in there. I probably won’t be getting anything this week though because I’ve decided to limit myself to spending an absolute maximum of £20 a week on the PSN (I’ve already downloaded a movie and a few comics today). If I don’t I’m likely to spend a lot more than I should on games, dlc, movies and now comics.
At least I know I won’t be bored over the holidays, then again I’m still hooked on Dragon Age, 100+ hrs gameplay and still going…

Ugh, I’ve just noticed the Peacewalker Demo, god damn you guys, this update pwnz n003′z My PSP has taken such a bashing of late, I hope she can keep up haha, the Comics are awesome BTW
Mike! Please let me come home to some code love! Work is stressing me out! Haha!

I leave proper, genuine feedback about the blog and Im shunned with no response! *Wipes tear away*
Then in one of your replies which seems to have dissapeared you said only 20/30 codes will be given away and that only those you respond to have a chance! Even though you said ‘giving codes out to those who have left constructive/commendable feedback’ which implies everyone!*Wipes second tear away and goes to do some tedious revision*
Posted on 17 December, 2009 at 12:58 pm by Mike Kebby
You misunderstand my friend, everybody who comments is in with a chance, those that for whatever reason strike a chord get a code – there’s no other way to describe it
(The reason I’m responding to people to say they have a code is so they know to expect a code via a PSN message, and also so you can all see I am actually giving stuff away and not fibbing)

Great update, Merry christmas to all the SCEE staff (you have had a great year with the ps3+psp)
Just got a PSN £20 voucher so im going to probably buy Blue toad, Critter crunch and gravity crash.
Any other greats this year I might have missed? I have nearly all the games in the deals section so can’t get any of them.

Define constructive?
On the one hand I am glad that demos for Army of Two: 40th Day and Gran Turismo are available for download. Nissan FTW!
On the other hand I could express my discontent that Vagrant Story is still nowhere to be seen.
So what feedback would I have for the Store Team? How about asking publishers not to list a release dates for content unless it has passed QA submission and it is ready for upload? That seems like a solid strategy to avoid disappointment and keep expectations in check.
Plus, congratulations for the solid Comics Store launch. Bought me some Captain America, ooooo yeah!

I’m sorry to post this again, but ti seams my question was skipped and unanswered.
First let me say that you have and all the team have been doing a great work, it’s what makes the world of PlayStation spin!
I’m a long fan of Gran Turismo, and I couldn’t help to notice something that scared me a little.
I know that the Gran Turismo® 5 Time Trial Challenge is for the countries not entering the GT Academy, and the GT Academy 2010 Time Trial is for the entry countries.
But one thing scared me, Portugal was mentioned to be one of those countries to be part of GT Academy 2010, but my local store show the Time Trial Challenge instead of the GT Academy 2010 Time Trial.
Were there any last minute changes?
I expect to receive an answer soon, hoping that it’s just a minor error.
Cheers and happy holidays!

I’m not sure, sorry. I’ll see if I can find anything out (but I’m working from home today so may not be able to).

Also Mike do you have any spare slots on borderlands tonight? I bought zombie island a while back but not played it yet and most of my mates have already completed it without me!
If you do then you know my psn name and we can kill some undeadssss.

mike just realised since ur offering codes for comments, noone has moaned at you much yet. perhaps you’ve found a weapon for use during times when the store update is lacking lol
Posted on 17 December, 2009 at 1:01 pm by Mike Kebby
Haha, I should do it every week
- That’s not a good idea actually, because some people may then think they can’t leave negative feedback, which is not the case, all feedback is welcome).

Hahahaha, in the name all that is holy-playstation-like… I just kept scrolling through the update list like it wouldn’t seem to be ending. Thanks Mike for one massive update. (^_^ )-b I was pleasantly suprised to see that 2 new Rockband DLC songs from the latest 30 Seconds To Mars album where listed there. Whoohoo \(^_^ )/ Can’t wait to download those. hehe. (I think that would make the it around 50th song i would purchase for RockBand?)
Mike, which games do you own anyway? Would be fun to relax and have blast with Rockband. (^_~ )-b (Or any other game)
Next to that, we have the GT Academy 2010, Brutal Legend DLC, Metal Gear Peace Walker Demo, More AC2 Movies, Mini’s support, lots of special prices for this week, and the Pirates pack for Little Big Planet next week.
*Gasp* If i were to download all the things from the list i want to, i need a bigger Harddisk in my PS3. (O_O ) *looking at local computer vendor sites* Hmmm… The Harddisks are pretty affordable nowadays.

Hey Mike – Awesome update
Just wondering which day the comic store’s gonna get updated each week, and will you post that too?
Also wondering, is there another sort function coming to the psp-go’s games menu? cos i like sorting things, and i don’t like the ‘order that you copied them onto me’ jazz of this time.
I know it’s not you department, but if you could pass it on that would be great. ty
You certainly know how to bribe us
too bad you’re sending the codes out via ps3..
Thanks again

Awesome to see a demo for MGS : PW and the “demo” for GT5! By the way, is that the final visual version of GT5? Can’t say that i’m blown away.
Also, i watched the “Hustle King’s” trailer and at the end it says “out now!”, but it guess that it’ll be out on the US store, because it’s obviously not on the EU shop…

A few questions about the Gran Turismo 5 demo:
1) Why is it, that there are two versions for the Time Challenge and what’s the difference between them?
2) Is the demo playable “forever”, or is it like a trial version, that will run out when the game releases?
3) Does the demo support split screen? (I bet not because you can’t set a time with two people ^^)

It gets worse!
I quote Mike Kebby, ‘all I’ll be doing is scouring your comments and giving codes out to those who have left constructive/commendable feedback’.
I quote jbni, ‘When’s ‘Supersonic Monsters Mike’s Crimbo Turkey Gravity Shooter’ coming out? We’ve been waiting for it for ages!’
I quote Mike Kebby, ‘Hehe, you made me chuckle, you can have a code’.
So there you go guys and gals. Just write absoloutely no feedback and type gobbledy goop to get a code!
Mike is now in the stickiest situation since sticky the stick insect sat on a stciky sausage!
Doctor, Doctor, I’ve a strawberry on my head. Doctor says you’ll need some cream on that!
Why shouldn’t you touch tinsel, because you’ll get tinselitus!

Hi Mike, terrific update. The only problem is that i live in Holland. Could you tell us why Braid and Star Trek D-A-C aren’t coming to the Dutch and Belgium Store. Also if they still come and when they will come. Our readers would love to know that (Dutch PS3 website).
The Special Offers are great, but I love to see more DLC offers. For instance, I liked the Prince of Persia adventure and I really want to try the extra DLC, the only thing is that it’s too expensive for the very short extra play-time. The DLC is out for weeks now, so I don’t think it will be sold much anymore, only if there was a Special Offer. I know you do very much for us, but can’t you lobby at publishers for Special Offers for their DLC. (I know from own experience Ubisoft is mean sometimes
)
Could you give me a quick answer to why Braid isn’t coming in Holland and Belgium? I wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year with a lot of content for the PS Store.
Now I have to go, cut someone open
. No just learning about DNA mutations. Just one more day and I have Christmas holiday.

Can I recommend creating a digital comics apps for the PS3 and enable sharing between PSP/PSPgo; it’ll keep the kids quiet!!
Also, are Sony working on an improved MP3 player? it’s killing me scrolling down 20MBs…
PS. Luv the supprise early update and GT5 time trail…Keep it up all!!

A superb update this week. I’ll be looking into PQ. Might be worth a purchase, especially if there are trophies too.
Just something else while I’m here, where did Astro Boy go? I thought that was released on the store a few weeks ago but I don’t see it now.
Also, I saw Super Fruitfall (£3.99) and Ben 10 (£15.99 last week!) on the store. Were they mant to be released as you never mentioned them on your blog updates (at least when I last looked)?
You probably should mention to those that missed it that if you bought the minis for the PSP, you can just download them again onto the PS3 for free.
That’s all from me
Oh, and is that January date for FF8 real? Big bang start to the year if it is!

Mike, why didn’t you say codes for the best comments to 20 lucky readers rather than imply only feedback and everyone who gives feedback gets one!

Reading it again, I see what you mean…I maybe should have phrased it best comments.
Ack well.

Aww… I already used all my motivational posts on you in the past, when the updates weren’t great Mike! D:
What can I say when the update is good!? Ummm… keep up the good work Mike and co.! >_<
Honestly though, when I saw the wall-of-text special offers list in this update I thought "Is anything NOT for sale this week!?"

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the update, however since you requested constructive comments I would need to say that I am departing for my yuletide vacation tomorrow and thus will not be able to enjoy these games. So my constructive suggestion is that you withdraw these updates and instead release them after Christmas when I can enjoy them on equal footing with everyone else.
Happy Yuletide!

Hi Mike,
I just watched the Hustle Kings movie on the store and at the end it says out now. Please tell me this is one of the surprises for next week. You know you would then be the most awesomest of awesome (or whatever the kids say these days)

Hey Mike,
You really should change your avatar to Sully you know!
Looks like Christmas has come early for me with the GT5 trial and Braid both on the same week!
I have a £20 PSN card to spend so Braid and Pixel Junk Shooters will be purchased when I get home from work.
I dont suppose you know when Vagrant Story could make it’s way to the PSN?
It’s a PS1 game I never owned and would like to get my paws on and play on the PSP so any sort of hint would be appreciated. No worries if you have no date. I’ll bide my time!
Will you be taking part in the GT5 trail? If so you should post up your best time. It would be cool to have a mini tournament here and see who could get the fastest time, unless you’re scared though.
Anyways I really should get back to work. Thanks for the early post on the update. Greatly appreciated.

A small problem on the store is there are two duplicate entries for smackdown v raw 2009 DLC. One is empty, the other looks ok.
Also if you could post Australia prices that would be most welcome.

So Mike you expecting any games from Santa this year? Something you’ve intentionally not played so you can endure over the holiday?
Posted on 17 December, 2009 at 1:09 pm by Mike Kebby
Maybe Santa will bring me early copies of Darksiders or Bayonetta – but I very much doubt that will happen.
I just started playing The Saboteur last night, so have that to work through, and to finish Borderlands too. I’ll also be playing PixelJunk Shooter, Braid and Blue Toad over the holidays though.

A good update there.. some bargains to be had with Burn Zombie Burn and Bomberman, both great fun and now they are a steal at that price.
Mike, cheers for posting about the flOw patch, i was beginning to think it was going to be another Blast Factor wait!
Oh and well done for a strong end of year… there is literally a list of several PSN games i need to get and they will keep me busy for ages!
Looking forward to 2010 as the PS3/PSN seems to be doing the business now, at last!
Happy Crimbo to you all….
