[Update 2] Our issues have now been resolved and Blue Toad Episode 2 (and the Episode 1 + 2 Bundle) are now back on the store! We apologise again for the inconvenience.
[Update] Apologies for the inconvenience some of you have had with Blue Toad Murder Files Episode 2 (and the Bundle of Episodes 1 and 2), we are working on our error now, and will have the correct files up on the store for download again very soon.
Those of you who have already downloaded this content should delete the original content from your console, and then download the content again from your download list later today. As of writing this, the problem is still being rectified, but it should be resolved very soon.
Many thanks for your patience, and apologies again for the inconvenience.

Good morning – the store will be updated nice and early today, so I’m still a little bleary eyed
Our batch of special offers for the festive period begins today, but we’ll also be adding a few more titles next week too. From today though, you’ll be able to grab games such as Burn Zombie Burn!, Bomberman Ultra and Battlefield 1943 at lower prices.
Also following the firmware update last week, minis now join the fun on PS3, so you can now enjoy the majority of our minis on both formats.
Next week we’re updating the store on Tuesday the 22nd of December, and then that’s it for the holidays – normal service will resume from Thursday the 7th of January.
Finally, as a personal Christmas gift to some of you lucky, lucky readers, I have some codes I’ll be giving out over the next week – there is no competition to enter – all I’ll be doing is scouring your comments and giving codes out to those who have left constructive/commendable feedback (think of this as a ‘letter of the week’ type deal, except it’s more ‘comments of the week’). These codes will be sent from my store management PSN account and will give you your code directly, so it’ll be safe and secure.
Hopefully all the above will give you additional festive cheer, and I’ll see you in the comments as usual.
Laters!

gremlin repellent is a crusty shoe
Ok the recent updates have been awesome mike but if SCEE could try and stop things being delayed countless times i bet there would be less complaints
Also all those uncharted vids 1-12 i think can’t remember what there called why not just have 1 file to download? surly it wouldn’t be to hard?
(sorry i called you surely)
The store needs some polishing aswell if possible from the team it needs to be more organized and things double checked like the descriptions for content and that files actually work (like the dante’s inferno stuff)
But its been a really good year on SCEE’s part you guys have improved massively lets see some more improvement next year!
There i tryed ¬_¬

Wow Mike, great update today! And already available early in the day! Fantastic job!
I don’t know if it’s already mentioned before (not really feel the need to skim through 5 pages of comments
) but why isn’t Tetris listed in the “minis compatible with ps3″-list? Small mistake or isn’t it playable on the ps3?
And the special offers are fantastic as well, although I’m kicking myself right now as I’ve only last week purchased High Velocity Bowling and could have saved €3 if only I’ve waited…well, I guess that’s the penality of being impatient
There’s no money-back guarantee, is there?!? :p
Oh, and one final thing: thank god for PSN cards!
Posted on 17 December, 2009 at 1:16 pm by Mike Kebby
It’s not playable on PSP, sorry.

Hiya Kebster,
Massive update! I’m really looking forward to playing the GT5 demo/contest. Definately downloading the Ao2 demo and the free character for Pain. Prolly gonna pick st. out of the Special Offers (Red Alert 3 episode?): great those Special Offers are really coming through, they can give a lot of gamers the chance to pick up a great game they might have missed otherwise.
constructive/commendable feedback: we need more Remote Play PSN games. I’ve bought a [DELETED] of PSN games the last 3 years, but only PJ Monsters and Bionic Commando Rearmed were playable through Remote Play. It’s a great feature (I use it when the wife takes control of the TV remote) and should be implemented a lot more.
I’m almost done ranting here.
Can I have or can you send me your PSN-id? I know you posted it some weeks ago, can’t find it now. Everyone is playing MW2 in my friends list, though I like & play it too, not a single friend is playing Borderlands which has got me hooked just like Fallout 3 had.
Greetz,
Klart

Your a busy bee alright lol. Be sure to let us know how The Saboteur is once you dive into it
And i have hopes for you getting Bayonetta. Santa is supposed to grant all the wishes to the good people in the world. You’ve been nothing but…or have you?

What a great way to end the year. GT Acadamy, which will be a good time sink for me over the next week, and then some really good looking PSN games out over the past few weeks.
To top it off, this weeks update actually came out on a Thursday for our part of the world! OMGWTFBBQ!
Now I have too much to play
.

Well done to whoever put in all the effort for the the special offers pages. It is always great to be able to compare the presale price to the current one. It is the little things that make all the difference. Thumbs up from me.

Hey Mike, just wondering, is there any reason Braid isn’t available to Belgium?
Or will it still be released next week maybe, or not at all because of some strange, unkown cause?

Great update Mike. I see a lot of people whinging about our updates compared to US and Japan but the Store has been massively improved this year with previews for most things now as well as other things. The Store just needs a little bit more organising and then there should be no moaners in 2010. Perhaps you could have a FAQ page so that the same comments don’t come up every week. Have a nice Christmas Mike.
Posted on 17 December, 2009 at 1:17 pm by Mike Kebby
I’m hoping to do a FAQ page next year, need one now really I think

You talk about bleary eyed Mike. After going back after I posted to fully read what you’ve written I see your giving away codes for comments! I saw the word “competition” when scanning and went straight to the update list. Never have any luck with competitions, yet my brother does and he’s been rubbing it in for years. So far he’s won a proper Lego Pirate Ship kit (one near £100 in value), a CD DJ turntable when he phoned up the Disney Channel to enter a compo (worth nearly £200), a Primeval figure (worth about 5p in my opinion but probably more to “fans”), and just last week off twitter an anime DVD. Those are just the ones I remember. What have I won? £6.30 off Euromillions.
Oh well. No use complaining (though it felt good
). Can’t offer much feedback except for keep up the good work, keep the offers coming, please try to get those in charge of the Digital Comics to make a PS3 app, and have a great Christmas.

It wrong that i imagine Mike to be like the spitting image, yet exact opposite of Yahtzee from Zero Punctuation?

As its the end of the year very soon and every website/magazine seems to be doing game of the year awards now – what do you think were the top 5 games of the year Mike?
Posted on 17 December, 2009 at 1:20 pm by Mike Kebby
Ah, for me the top three at least are:
Uncharted 2
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Assassin’s Creed II
Can’t forget Killzone 2 either. I enjoyed MW2 but not sure it’s in my personal top 5.

This update should silence the staunchest of moaners with Braid alone, never mind how much Burnouts been discounted. One problem though, I don’t get paid until Tuesday when I imagine most of my money will be spent since there’s another update coming then.
Have you got codes that’ll pay my bills in January?

Just a quick question about the SOCOM DLC which hasn’t come our way. Is it still being released on the NA store today? If so i thought it was suppose to be a worldwide release? Thats means when we finally receive it in the EU all those lucky ones across the pond will have had plenty of time to get use to the maps, when we finally attempt to play the new DLC all the EU rooms will be full of people who have already had the content and know most of the ins and outs of the maps shouting the lovely phrase ‘NOOB’ to us all.
Why is it that the EU seems to be thought about last? Not in all cases but most of the time it feels that way, it feels that Sony really dont care much about the EU. I know i’m not the only one who thinks this, i’ve spoke to plenty of people who would say the exact same.

I’m sorry, I wish I could get into this, but I don’t know the details, so it would be wrong of me to speculate.

@ Solid_Snake1987
You think thats bad – the guy I sit next to a work won a 55″ LCD TV last week worth about £2500 – he doesn’t even watch much TV (or play games). He won a trip to New York last year.

Some people have all the luck. Although your guy’s luck seems especially annoying. Who doesn’t watch TV? I suppose someone who is too busy winning trips to New York I suppose.

Mike, thanks for the reply at number 251 (me).
I just came across the other post about the minis, where it is specifically noted that Tetris is not available on the PS3. I should have read that first
Too bad, as it’s currently the only mini I’ve bought and was the one I was most looking forward to on playing on the PS3. Any chance it will become available in the near future, or is it licensing-related?

Regarding the competition codes, what are they actually for Mike? Beta, game, promo, Home stuff? And I’d still like to know why Braid isn’t available in the 3 locales you mentioned, one of which I of course happen to live in, if you could provide me with an answer, even if it’s just saying that you don’t know either..

I agree that the store has been improved quite a lot since the Playstation 3 was released. Its also filling up quite nicely. Though i miss a few things. It would be great to have a seperate section for game-demo’s like with the Game-Addons. Right now we need to walk trough the PS3/PSP Games sections in order to find demo’s next to the actual games.
Also, if it would be possible, i would like to see a “search”-option within the store. It helps quite a lot if i would enter the name of a Rockband song or the name of the band/artist and get a list of results rather then walking through all 800+ songs. (^_^ )
I noticed that the Singstar Viewer is in the update list aswell. I was wondering something like that… How does it work? It would be cool, if you can use that viewer as an Karaoke type of application where you can download a song and sing a long with the lyrics, without a mic, just for the fun of it.

The Dutch and Belgian Stores will have a full search facility like the rest of the stores mid-January, sorry for the delay.

Seems that Christmas have come earlier than usual, what an incredible update!
(Sorry if don’t speak well… I’m still learning english)
I appreciate two things about digital content: quality and price. The quality is not usually a problem, so I want to say something about the prices:
If there’s something I like about the PSN is that you often offer special price drops for the content, like the Steam platform on PC. I mention this because until PSN came to the market, it was almost impossible to see price drops on digital content. And today is still very rare to see price drops on other platforms’ digital content (Wii, 360). Good work guys! Today my credit card is going to burn because I’m planning to buy Braid, Bomberman, Burn Zombie Burn, Dead Head Fred, and maybe Bue Toad Murder Files. I don’t remember when was the last time I bought so much games at once.
And ther’e coming more on tuesday!
What a great holiday start for PS3 users.
Have a good gay and Merry Christmas!

Hey Mike, any news of Cubixx? It was meant to hit the Minis two weeks ago I believe.
Fantastic update though, great week for PSN with the Digital Comics launching yesterday, the store update this morning and what looks to be a very good Home update today aswell!
My time will be spent with the GT Academy Time Trial challenge, the Blue Toad bundle and the new Homes spaces, but mostly on my PSP with some new minis and lots of Digital Comics

Some sort of confirmation that FF8′s coming in January? Peace Walker Demo this week? Burnout Paradise down in price?
Best week ever. Good to know SCEE realises it’s Christmas
Thanks for the updates every week Mike. We all know you take a fair amount of stick on behalf of your team, but we’re all grateful for the info and for the fact that you actually stick around afterwards to answer user queries and stuff. Not sure if I’ll be popping in next week but if I don’t I hope you ant the team have a good Christmas and come back after ready to give us a fantastic 2010.

You should probably add the Lemmings Starter Pack to the deals section. After I downloaded the “full game”, I noticed there wasn’t anything in my games list. Had to dig through all games / L to find the starter pack for it.

Normally, I don’t comment but to be fair this weeks store update is fairly awesome, Sony just keep on giving and giving regardless the time of year and it goes to show with what they have lined up for us and what they have in store for us for Christmas that they really do care and love us.
The weekly content provided gives us more of an incentive to purchase games, movies and DLC that i’m finding it hard what to choose from!
I just want to say a personal thank you to all of Sony for enabling me to play such an awesome machine!

Hola Mike, I’m loving the comic store and the prices aren’t bad (maybe even fantastic) either *but* could you maybe nag someone about improving the listings a bit? For example something indicating how many pages the paper version was? I know Rogue Trooper: Future of War is fantastic value for £3.19 because I’m familiar with length of that but when it comes to others I’ve got no idea, and the pricing seems to be uniform so I can’t gauge from that that
It’s a small point though and doesn’t put me off spending what I’m sure will amount to way too much money on comics.

I was hoping that we would get a global release of Socom Cold front but there was always that little niggle saying, “too good to be true”.
Anyways, lots of other stuff to keep me busy, Peace walker and bomberman are looking like good treats.
Have a nice Christmas Mike and fellow PSN’ers

@Mike,
I’ll try to make this my last post as I wanted to return to revision at 1pm, but you really struck a nerve!
I’ve been a long time user of the PS Blogs and today have give PS Blog Feedback, Grammatical feedback and jokes, wheter they were funny or not it doesn’t matter. I’ve even summoned an admitance from you that the wording could have been better. I am the most replied to user in this comments section and was also most replied to on the 18th June update where you said this to me after I gave you constructive criticism!
I quote, ‘This is something that I could address you are correct…’.
This is the second time I’ve been told by you I am correct and all I get is a shun!
I will love you, leave you and return on Tuesday if neccessary with many a joke as tommorrow is my last day before christmas!

Hi Mike.
I’m fairly new to the PS3 and I’ve been really impressed with what it has to offer so far.
I just wanted to give some feedback:
1) Special Offers!
Fantastic. Fantastic. Fantastic.
I’m also a Steam (PC/Valve) user and it’s one of the best things about the service in my opinion. Allowing users to buy games at reduced prices for a certain period of time is great. I hope these offers continue to show up on the PSN long into the future!
2) Demo’s for PSN games
This is one area that is a little annoying for me personally. There’s a lot of great games available on the PSN but a lack of demo’s available? I understand that this is probably the developer’s choice, but it would be nice to be able to try before we buy.
e.g. PixelJunk Shooter
The game looks really good, but I don’t want to take a risk purchasing a game when I’m not sure how it will play and if I’ll like it.

(Had to split comment sorry – Too many characters)
3) Demo section on Store
I’m sure others would agree that the store could do with a demo’s section. It’s overly complicated if you’re trying to find demo’s for the latest, greatest PS3 games. If there was a demo section, I think it would be a lot easier for users to find this content.
I look forward to what the PS3/PSN have to offer in 2010 and onwards.
Thank you for the fantastic update this week.
Have yourself a Merry little Christmas

Hey Mike, great update before Christmas. at last much long expected price drops for PSN Games, thats 1 of my highlights on this Update
2 questions now:
The AC Shortfilms are the Lineage right? did i miss part 1 already & is it live too? because the Movie one hell of a great premovie to a game.. it´s so great. hope other publisher will take this as an example of a really good marketing strategy.
And then i would like to ask you if i can challenge u to a Critter Crunch Versus 3of3 to grab a code when i win
so? r u a man or barfing coward
