It’s the last update of the year; I can’t believe it! I think we’ve made inroads into improving the store this year, and of course I have high hopes that we’ll carry this momentum on into 2010.
As with last week, we’re feeling generous, so I have some codes to give away (these codes will be for one piece of content available via the store) – there is no competition to enter, I’ll just be reading all the comments and giving codes out to those I deem the best comments made. Think of this as the blog version of ‘letters of the month’ you find in print magazines
I’ll respond on the blog to tell you you’ve got a code, and then I’ll send it to you via a PSN message.
Onto the content this week then – Hustle Kings is here, and offers all you wannabe hustlers out there to chance to show off your skills with the cue. The classic RPG Vagrant Story also arrives, and is available to play on both PS3 and PSP.
We have our first batch of premium avatars available on the store; and these are all from the world of LittleBigPlanet, so know you can personalise your PSN ID with some of the sackboy costumes we’ve previously released.
AdhocParty is also available today, so now you can download this onto your PS3 and utilise it with the titles Gran Turismo, Final Fantasy: Dissidia and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite.
Finally, as promised, there are a few more titles added to the Special Offers (with two more additions being made on Christmas Eve), including our favourite fair maiden, Fat Princess – all the details below.
That’s it from me this year, but I’ll be around in the comments as usual.
Have a great Christmas and New Year, and I’ll catch you in 2010!

Was just thinking aswell about getting Resident Evil 1, 2 & 3 up there?? Any news, just hope they are not £7.99 like MGS. Lets start a petition that we’ll all download if they are reasonalble at about £3.99…they are over 10 years old dont you know!!!
Anyway loving this update, seems a lot of stuff to take a look at.

Ashamed to see that last week, the only comments rewarded were mindless praising and buttkissing of SCEE and the PS3. Definitely shades of a dictatorship a lot of times when it comes to this Blog, from the mindlessly brainwashed followers (Yes, there are some, but not everyone, I love those of you who keep an open mind towards the content and console rather than foaming at the mouth when someone complains, and being a white-knight.), to the censorship of comments, to only being rewarded for praise. Here’s hoping that’ll be fixed in 2010 but..I won’t hold my breath
Other than that, a good update (Mike, please shoot the rep. who decided including Taylor Swift would be a good idea for Guitar Hero 5)with some decent stuff, and Vagrant Story! Very nice!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, Mike! Let’s see some really good stuff for the end of the decade!

I was thinking about getting warhawk a few days back and now i’ve no excuse. For me that’s deal of the day. The demo was a lot of fun.
Some nice updates. Fat Princess never really got me but trine looks interesting! I like the physics mechanic similar to lbp
As it evolves I’d like to see more ps3 games offered on the psn network. It’s great to be playing a demo and then decide you want to buy it and be able too. I wonder how they come about picking which games to make downloadable like burnout, gt prologue, siren, warhawk etc
I remember lemmings on pc. Might have to get that.
Wow it’s nearly new years eve already. This is a long post. But a good one!! Anyway, merry xmas one and all

Hey Mike!
OK to be honest i just wrote out my ps3 life story (4 months short) trying to win your rewards but i realized it, and swiftly came to my senses, delete it and started over lol. My sincere apologizes, but i did want to let you know that I am a new customer and have recently fell upon this great community.. these past 3 updates have been awesome. I wish i would have waited to buy Battlefield 1943! I also stumbled across the September 24 and just want to note that you have kept up the big updates filled with pure entertainment. Thanks and just to let you know how serious i am about being your valued customer I’m going to go play MAG public Beta!!!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Enjoy the time off

Awww man, loads of stuff and nothing that particularly tickles my fancy

i don’t know if it’s just me but i would like to see more demo’s coming out because i would go round to my friends who had an xbox and i’ll be like “OOOOOooooooooooOOO i’ll download that on my PS3″ but then i’ll get home and find out that it hasn’t come out on the playstation, i understand there will be some reasons as to why it hasn’t, not just SCEE can’t be arsed getting it but could you try get some more? pleaaaaaaaaasee
Ah well, i guess i’ll have to stick with my Assassin’s Creed feather hunting for a bit longer then, well atleast until christmas, hopefully a new game will come my way

No Dantes Inferno demo on the New Zealand PS Store.
Any reason for this? Or just SCEE just forgot again?

Just a suggestion, but do you think that while playing PsOne games downloaded from the PStore, we could have the XMB, aswell as having the specialist game menu to change disks and so-on. Im playing MGS (Nostalgianostalgia) and whenever someone sends me a message i have to save the game, exit, check the message, start the game, load my save, go through an epicly long cutscene thanks to mr Hideo Kojima and then, and ONJY then can i resume killing guards with my silenced SOCOM.
oh and one last thing… SNIPER WOLF IS DEAD! Commence Disk 2 =D

Hey guys, I didn’t know how else to go about asking, but was wondering
what would the most effective way to “petition” or request games?
There are so many more games on the US and JP stores, it’s beginning
to feel like investing in the PSP Go wasn’t that good an idea.

It’s the last update of the year
-
I was looking forward to an update this thursday, and came to see why there wasn’t an update.
I must say last weeks update was brilliant, I straight away without hesitation grabbed my hands on one of the new avaters, and was glad that I recieved a £20 psn store credit card for christmas to spend at the store.
(I’ve already got Fat Princess and Worms!)
Thanks for the effort, and seasonal greetings

When are we gonna get some more classic games on the playstation store? Like many other PS3 users I’ve had a peek at the US store and the amount of games are there is enough to make me want to move there! They’ve got Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3, Dino Crisis and all of the Tomb Raider games. I’d just like to know if or when we’ll be getting updated with the same amount of content as them?
