So, it’s my first post of 2010, bye bye 2009 it was fun. What were your highlights of the year we’ve just left by the wayside? What are your resolutions for the coming year (apart from playing lots of games of course)?
Personally, I thought 2009 was a pretty good year for gaming, but I think from many aspects a lot of what made 2009 good for me (apart from the games actually released) were the glimpses, and promises, of what’s to come this year. Even though I didn’t manage to get there myself, I felt that E3 really cranked up the expectations of what is to come in 2010…I feel it could be a vintage year for the gaming industry (though I reserve the right to renege on this assumption this time next year, if I’m wrong).
As for my resolutions this year, I’ll be striving to help continue improving the store and the offering we make available to you all (that actually goes without saying really), I’ll try and interact with you all more than I have been thus far, and my final resolution is to get more platinum trophies!
To help us improve, this week could you do me a kindness in the comments section and provide your feedback/thoughts/requests for the store, what you’d like to see etc. I’ll be collating as much of this as possible/relevant and will try to address as much as I can in the future.
As for the content this week, the full list is below, I won’t keep blathering away, and I’ll let you get on with checking the list.
Cheers!

Oooooohh… Guilty Gear is on my list! And maybe the Dark Void Demo. Also, is there any word on Final Fantasy VIII, Mike? The sooner we get it the sooner we´ll be asking for FFIX =D Or what about a FFXIII Demo?
Anyways, Happy New Year, Mike! ^_^

And the Ninja Gaiden Table for Zen Pinball isn’t anymore on the Store. I hope that Sony is on its way for a solution for who has downloaded the table

WE WANT PRO EVO FOR PSPGO! WE WANT PRO EVO FOR PSPGO! WE WANT PRO EVO FOR PSPGO!
Heck I don’t even care if it’s one of the ridiculous £31.99 priced games. All I want is the option to buy it in the first place!
At this rate the Go will be hacked before it gets put on the PSN and everyone will be playing a free version of it!!!

I live in Sweden and can’t find “This is Football Management” on my PS3. Is something wrong?
“…comments section and provide your feedback/thoughts/requests for the store, what you’d like to see etc.”
Tetris, on the PS3.

Mike, somehow you forgot to include the fact that you’ve finally managed to upload the latest incarnation of Football Manager to the swedish store!

Would have liked to see the CoD WaW DLC cheaper. US Store had them half price not so long back. £19.99 is quite a lot for DLC for a game thats over a year old now

Ok so… For those who keep asking :
- Final Fantasy VIII will hit the PS Store by the end of january (information from Mike Kebby earlier),
- Dissidia Final Fantasy will hit the PS Store soon, there is a date on the schedule, but Mike can’t tell us more about it until it gets confirmed (information from Mike Kebby earlier),
- Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII- : No further information about this game, we still are waiting for it,
- Final Fantasy IX : Same here.
I hope it will help.

Just to add, don’t expect FFIX so soon. Japan hasn’t even got it yet.
I’m going to stick my neck out and say that it won’t happen until TGS 2010 at least…
Patience…

i don’t know where the “we can’t force them to make demos” idea comes from, well maybe you can’t when you have no rules regarding demos in place, but when a demo is mandatory for making a downloadable title it’s not a problem, look at the live arcade, and no it’s not because they’ve been doing it for longer because every arcade title has had a demo since day one, and that was a year before sony launched the ps3, longer in europe.
even the indie titles on live have demos, some have dedicated demos and others just have a time limit.
one good thing, that football manager mini is out, it’ll have to wait till i get another store card though, maybe if i’d got an answer when i asked about it every week for weeks i might have kept some money back.
don’t know why you blanked me, maybe you were offended by what i’d been saying about you, if so i’m sorry i didn’t mean i don’t trust you, i just don’t trust your information, your sources seem unreliable.
or maybe mb has been badmouthing me round the office, the cold shoulder did seem to coincide with his arrival on the blog, and i wouldn’t put anything past that so called mod.
i wouldn’t be the first or last person to fall foul of his disgraceful behaviour.

Are you going to put Fallout 3 Dlc on/back on. Wanting to update the game with new content from the store. Am new to the ps3 so do not know if it has already been on. Hope they put all five packs on there. I really do not want to buy the GOTY edition just for the add-ons.

Posted on 10 January, 2010 at 12:22 pm by HazelAM
you should shop around for the fallout goty edition, i got a preowned copy for less than 13 quid.
you’ve got to weigh up what the expansions would cost online and what the goty edition would cost in a shop, it will probably work out cheaper to buy the game again.

I hope Torkass is right and Dissidia FF will be released soon. I really want to play that game. I’ve asked in the Spanish blog and noone answer me. I think that someone should be answering people question in every blog, not only in the English one. If this continues like that, I’ll only make comments on the English blog (even if my English isn’t perfect lol)

it’s amazing isn’t it, the scee qa can hold up a game for months because of a minor issue, but then they let stuff go through that simply doesn’t work.
what have i said about inconsistency and what it implies to the accuracy of the information given?
