As the GT Academy 2010 competition enters the third week of the online time trial competition, with a huge number of you guys vying for a place in the Top 20 in your country and a seat at your national final, a timely reminder of what you are racing for was highlighted today in the Sony CES press conference when a taste was given of Sony’s unified, global “make.believe” message.
The philosophy behind make.believe is simple: Believe that anything you can imagine, you can make real. So what does that mean, exactly? Here’s an example that should get you revved up to shave a few tenths off your current best time, or for those that haven’t downloaded the GT Academy Time Trial from PlayStation Store yet, the nudge you need to do it now and make your bid for racing glory before the online competition closes on the 24th January 2010. This is the story of how Lucas Ordonez
went from Gran Turismo player to real-life racer:

“Sony, Unified & Global” are you allowed to use those three words together, pretty sure my experience of PSN is different to our good old American cousins. And what about those poor sops that use EU Home?

When is the Playstation Network going to be available for more PAL SCEE countries so we can make & beleive too ?.
I’m talking about the basic feature of the PSN, not the Playstation Store. Some countries don’t have the Store, like Romania, Cyprus and Bulgaria. And many PS3 customers in other PAL SCEE countries don’t even have access to the basic features of the Playstation Network for example North Africa (Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia, etc…) and Baltic countries (Estonia, Latvia etc…), they don’t appear in the list of countries of the PSN registration form
WHY IS THE PSN NOT AVAILABLE IN THESE COUNTRIES EVEN IF THEY ARE SCEE PAL TERRITORIES ?
WHEN IS PSN GOING TO BE AVAILABLE IN THE AFOREMENTIONED COUNTRIES ?

Nice Video.
Is he “The Stig” (or does he just think he is?)
Yes, good point about “Sony Unified and Global” what a crock!
Keep treating your European customers like 3rd class citizens and we’ll soon see who’s “Global”
SONY
make.believe(you look after all territories the same)
or…
SONY
make.an.effort

Thats a great advert, but will it appear on TV or is television marketing too expensive for Sony these days? The only adverts i ever see seem to be after 11pm, are the rates cheaper then? Silly question.
A classy advert like this, is what people expect from Sony, not that paper mache, ripped paper crud advertising the PS3 in the wee hours. Here’s hoping to see this on something other than Internet or cinema adverts.

Good luck!
