Hi everyone! Following last week’s announcement, it’s been fantastic to so many of you accessing HeavyRainPS3.com and signing up for Four Days – The Heavy Rain Online Experience. So many, in fact, that I know that the site ended up running a little slow and some of you didn’t receive your voucher code for the Heavy Rain PlayStation Home t-shirt.
So for those of you that registered over the last week, look out for an email re-confirming your voucher code, just in case you missed it.
If you haven’t signed up for ‘Four Days’ yet, check out last week’s post for more details, and then get ready for next Tuesday, when the hunt will begin…
p.s. We’ve spotted even more homemade origami spreading across the web this week – search for #murderbird on Twitter to see some more cool examples of people’s creativity!

@ vicheous, you were never supposed to get an e-mail with the voucher when signing up – the one you received is a resend because of website problems.
What should have happened after you signed up was that you were sent to a ‘Thanks for Registering’ page that included your voucher code and instructions to download. Unfortunately most people got a ‘Page Could Not Be Displayed’ error instead – however the voucher code was included in the URL for the page so you could still get the voucher without the page working (though most people didn’t realise this). You will probably find that the link is still in your browser history and will probably load correctly now the site is a little less overloaded…

Just got mine,cheers.
Alex,are any spoilers hints or any game related sequences on the site.I don’t want anything ruining the game.
Also I heard a demo was coming on the 11th (staying away) but was told it was the taxidermist scene from last year.But seeing as the taxidermist scene is also part of the special edition,I wondered if you could confirm anything.
Thanks

Hi Vonhammer – we’ve been careful to avoid giving away spoilers, as I definitely don’t want to see the story ruined for anyone! It depends how strict you’re being with yourself – on the website there are short profiles of the four lead characters, plus screenshots and a short plot overview. If you’ve been following the PR announcements over the last year, there won’t be any suprises, but if you’ve been disciplined and avoided every single bit of info, then avoid those sections!

And I thought this news flash would bring us some actual updates about the game or the Four Days Challenge…
Posted on 22 January, 2010 at 5:39 pm by Alex Pavey
Hi Gam3roff – sorry to get your hopes up! Just a quick blog because I wanted to reassure the people who’d had some problems getting their voucher code last week. Don’t you worry, there will be a more substantial update on Four Days next week – on the 26th when it all begins…

Cheers Alex.
Up until E3 I was looking,since then a few screens and the odd vid about Ethan’s backstory,I understand what’s going on from D.Cage interviews back late 07 or 08,but I’ve been clean since the december embargo lifted.I think i’ll stay clear for now.
I guess you can’t confirm anything demo wise (thats cool) But i’d love a fahrenheit style tutorial with DC again,that was brilliantly done.
Anyway good luck with the launch,reviews and sales,this sort of game needs supporting.

@Alex Pavey
Could you confirm or deny if the codes included with the Special Edition will be region-specific? I’m from Sweden and planning on importing it from the UK. Having the codes not be redeemable would be a bit of a bummer…
If this is the case, would it be possible to circumvent by creating a UK PSN account?

“Could you confirm or deny if the codes included with the Special Edition will be region-specific? I’m from Sweden and planning on importing it from the UK.”
Is the special edition UK only then?

@vonhammer
No it’s available for pre-order in Sweden and I assume a bunch of other European countries as well. It’s £10 more than importing from the UK, which is uncommonly cheap. Usually a special edition is 699kr rather than 599kr.

“weIt’s £10 more than importing from the UK, which is uncommonly cheap.”
No way.The price here is well cheap,it’s the same as the normal edition.
Seeing as it’s available in Sweden i’d guess it would open the content on your store.but obviously i’d wait for Alex or someone else before taking my advice.

Sorry double post.
I was thinking if the code comes on a multi lingual voucher then you should be ok,as they would just be printing them off,therefore any voucher could end up in any box for any Eu the region.
