This Week On The SingStore (28 January 2010)

Hey Nina, When will Hilary Duff be on the store? Her song ‘So Yesterday’, is on Band Hero and it would be awesome if she was on the singstore. Anyway, I will be getting only one song from the update.

Browsing the singstor is getting slower and slower and now I’m basicly at the point where I dont buy song anymore because I have to wait 2 minutes for the album art to load, then 2 minutes for the selected and finaly 2 minutes before I get back to the albumcovers. This is not a problem with my connection (100/100Mbps) as this slowdown only occurs in singstore. Please fix this problem, I’m also quite often not able to log onto your service.

Will we be getting more from No Doubt in the near future? “Don’t Speak” is a must have ^^

Also I would like to re-ask what 28 asked, any Taylor Swift songs coming anytime soon? Love Story maybe?

No update for Spain with spanish songs? Why? I don´t understand why London Studio don´t update with latin song from Gloria Estefan, Juanes, Shakira or spanish groups that sound everywhere in the Europe and USA…

I think this update is a step in the right direction as there genuinely seems to be something for everyone (especially with the better foreign language support). I haven’t bought any tracks in weeks (months?), so it’s great to see bands like No Doubt and The Subways included. Though they’re very much at the lighter end of my taste, I’d rather them than an entire update of generic pop

Please keep it up and remember the ROCK as well as the normal pop, R’n'B, dance and so on!

right then Nina, the way i see it is like this… the script was on the singstar Pop disc, and now its on the singstore so you got two licenses.. so, who do i need to pay to get the song Breakeven on here?!?!?!!?

its got Singstar classic written all over it!!! and since we are on the LL Cool J vibe, good choice of song, any chance of Around the way girl, and Mama Said know you out?….. maybe even Hey lover… go on!! go on!!

A really bad update for me I think even no songs this time. Maybe Bob Sinclair. I hope for some more Dutch songs
I was also wondering if you are planning something around Michael Jackson?? The King of Pop should not be missed in the singstore. There is also one song from him on another Disc.

hmm nice update i have only 1.20 pounds left on m account and im thinking should i buy Avril – Girlfriend or The Subways – Rock n Roll Queen :/..sophies choice although there arent much songs this week, its a very nice update -in my opinion-…i made complimants enough ,
so its time for requests
I want, more up-to-date songs but keep releasing old songs too

I second the party carousel idea from Bumblebee. Maybe if you choose party mode, each time a song is selected, it asks who’s on each mic from a list of players, with an option to add a new, or add an existing to the list.
Also having the option to change the mode (battle, duet, etc) at that point would be nice.

+1 for the above. Also, voice control for name selection would be awesome.

If you are looking for full on party mode then the following would be fab:

o Pre-cache selected songs from the discs to avoid swapping. Have them unavailable after, say, four days to avoid issues around trade-ins etc. You could revitalise them by reinserting the disc, and have them cleared off the HDD after, say, six months. You could then prep your PS3 ready for a party. I would pay a small amount for that feature if it was in the Extras as I rarely bother to swap discs unless someone is begging for an old track.

o Ability to either printout a track listing to an attached printer, or more realistically create a PDF that could be exported to USB stick. I have about 280 songs on the HDD drive now and if I could cache my PS3 and PS2 discs then that would be even higher. A print out would be great so people could choose their next track.

o Singstar branded ear plugs for the children. They have suffered enough already.

yeah I honestly think singstar is the one place you can’t go wrong unless you pick a song NOBODY likes but one person. Don’t stop believing is only a wanted sony becasue scrubs put it in one of their episodes so except people to want the songs American Girl (my american girl), Book Of Love (my finale) and poison.

To be honest I don’t really care about SingStar any more, I’ll sing these songs ounce and then ignore them, a waste of money.

Is there anyway we could get a suggestion box going for new song updates? Surely playstation as company would prefer to update songs people want to buy. Lets face it over the past year i average 2 songs per update. If the songs were better maybe i would average +10 per update = more money for sony.

@ Bumblebee why dont you do what I do when I got a few ppl around is that we play on my name but when the song is over and IF the person who just played has got on the leaderboard just edit the name (press square) and delete your name and put in the name of the person who just got on the leaderboard makes life alot easier Just a suggestion as I had the same problem as you until I noticed you can edit the name when you set a new score (plus if u put the name in before it will remember what u put in so no havin 2 write the name out in full it will b on the right hand side of the keyboard that comes up

downloaded supernova, but wont go onto my songs list. says updating after the download but its not there. then go back to the singstore and it says i need to download it again….whats wrong????

Will the US store ever catch up with the UK store? It seems must of the songs I want are only coming out in the UK, which makes a lot of us here in the US feeling left out, and neglected.

Kazagill, the SingStore updates every second Thursday. So the next update should come at the 11th of Feabruary 2010.
