God of War III – Kratos is on His Way!

A couple of things.

1) This box art is terrible. Really, REALLY terrible (in my opinion, of course). But hey, at least the Americans suffer with us

2) You can redeem yourselves by giving us a same-day release with North America. There’s no logical reason I can fathom for releasing the game on Friday here. If you have one, please do tell.

Also, the God of War Collection. Please release that as a standalone. Pretty please?

Import it! Its cheaper nad the ulimate trilogy editionm box is £110!!!! no way! I have the Collection, standalone game I will get (trying not to sound like Yoda LOL)

can you please confirm whether the ultimate trilogy edition has been removed from sale in Australia. Apparently it was exclusive to Ebgames but they have removed it from Australia. The price difference in comparison to the UK Ultimate trilogy edition was $50 higher – do you know why? we have been told by Sony Australia that our pricing should always be in line with the UK.

I actually don’t mind the cover. It isn’t as good as the special edition cover that has been doing the rounds, but at least it has some simplicity to it.

What I would like to see is SCEE to start using the actual logo, instead of the boring plain text, on the spines of the boxes, as everyone else does.

The 19th March has been pretty much confirmed as the release date for some time now. All we need to know now is when the GOW Collection is coming separately, as the BBFC have just rated the set, so it’s can;t be far off.

1)I’m assuming they’re not sure about the exact release date because it’s still up in the air whether or not they’ll go for a simultaneous release with the American launch or just release it on the Friday.

2)Personally I would have preferred it if the boxart was something like this: http://i47.tinypic.com/m351z.jpg I find the white to be too bright on the official cover but I might like it more if I see the box IRL. And I’m slightly annoyed that the giant 18 label from the BBFC will fill that white area on the UK version but that’s not really your fault.

3)Also, you should really announce the separate release of the GoW Collection soon. While this doesn’t affect me there are still lots of people who want to get the collection but don’t want to pay £110 for the Ultimate Trilogy Edition and since the the US version dropped in price to $30 you really shouldn’t charge more than £24.99 for it.

Anyway, I’m really looking forward to this and depending whether or not The Last Guardian comes out in 2010 this will be my most anticipated game of the year so keep up the good work.

or at least the side of it. i like my games to look good on the shelf. i dont want just a boring black side on it. thats very lazy and something a 3rd party would do.

It’s coming to Australia, exclusively to Ebgames. It’s not on their website anymore because it’s been pre-sold out. By pre-sold out I mean they’re not taking preorders anymore, and I don’t know if they’ll eve get anymore stock to sell. They might, but I don’t know.I too wondered this and emailed ebgames and they said it’s pre sold it, and will be $249AUD. Hope that helps, and hope you pre-ordered it before it was sold out!

Damn, I don’t really like this boxart. I’m hoping that the UTE wil have a way cooler boxart. I’ll be getting that one instead.

When are you going to release the GOW collection in EU? I don’t want all that other rubbish that comes with the proposed £110 ultimate edition, I just want GOW1 and GOW2 to play on the PS3 – just like the yanks have.

I just want the Collection. I played my first GoW game a few weeks ago (Chains of Olympus on PSP) and it blew my mind, so I really want the opportunity to give 1 and 2 a try first

But, knowing how the European market is…….

I can’t believe you guys actually went for that boxart. I mean, with so many artwork done by Santa Monica Studios and you went for that? An eye? Disappointing, though I won’t be looking at the boxart when GoW3 comes out. But now this – http://www.vgboxart.com/boxes/PS3/23373_god_of_war_iii-v3.png – is an awesome boxart. You guys could at least put Olympus on fire in his eye. Or Zeus. Just my 2 cents.

oh come on guys, lets be honest. This boxart is actually not bad. It jsut shows the badass subtelty of Kratos and how deliciously evil you can tell he is just by lookin in his eyes. Besides, the colours are cool.

ps: sorry just to add, arent u tired of having to look at Kratos’ back all the time? At least this time he is lookin ryt at u(no gay pun intended)

I´ve seen the Morpheus skin but are we europeans going to be able to get it? I really wish you could answer this question because I am a really big hardcore God of war fan and think I can speak for all God of war hardcore fans when I say that we want it aswell because it looks really cool.
