‘Heads-Up’ PlayStation Store Update (4th February 2010)

Its about time! I’ve bought a PSP so I can play FF8 while at university :p

Does anybody know if its possible to keep transferring save games between the PSP and PS3 so I can carry on with the same game when I have access to my PS3?

AvP demo first impressions?…its awful playing as a Alien anyway…I;ve yet to try the other 2…

Time to get on my PSP Go high horse here I think… just about to saddle up… right ok there we are… A few people have mentioned the US getting more/better PSP Go support well here is the list of better than EU:

- Metal Gear Solid Bundle (Good value!)
- Silent Hill – Shattered Memories
- Ridge Racer
- SEGA Rally Revo
- Castlevania The Dracula X Chronicles
- Silent Hill – Origins
- Dissidia
- Half Minute Hero
- Disgaea 2

Probably others I’ve missed too… There really needs to be much more content released each week for the GO and also new releases need to sync with the physical release. Its just as well I was new to the format and have plenty to get through, for older PSP users it must be hard if they’ve switched to the GO.

Anyway apart from the lack of PSP games (just 2 inc a mini) it’s not too horrendous and update!

Off topic: have you ever considered to give tours of your office in the UK? If you do, and if it’s in London, i’ll be there for a week in March

I think so, never tried it, but here’s my advice.
Start your PC and plug you PSP in, with the USB cable.
Open up My Computer and click PSP.
Go into PSP again and click SAVEDATA.
Copy everything onto a USB Stick.
When this is done, plug it into PS3 and go into either Minis or Savedata and copy the file.
Hope this helps.

Hey Mike is europe ever getting the Stone Cold Steve Austin DLC for Smackdown vs Raw 2010 the US store and Xbox live have had him for 3 weeks now so how come we dont.

Mike could you please add Cool Boarders 2 to the PSone classics. It was taken off about a year ago with no explanation and the USA have got. Plus its a first party title so it should be easy to put up?

Also my BFBC2 isn’t installing properly?

Will there be any single player demos of AvP and Bad Company 2? Not everyone buys FPS’s for the multiplayer you know… (like me)

perfect, took all 1015gp in “Mass Effect 2″ on my xbox360 today. I’m ready for some FFVIII,shame I had to wait 2,5 months and pay 40% more then what Americans had to, but then again SONY care only about JPN/NA

Hey Mike, pretty cool uodate [FINAL FANTASY VIII OMG!!] and the AVP Demo [sadly not for us in the KSA].
Ive got a question though, what happened to Pac-Man championship edition for Minis? Wasnt it announced as a launch title for the Minis program?

Also, you told me back in January that I wouldnt have to wait too long for Dissidia and that it would be released somewhere around the end of February…did that change now? As in is there a delay of some sort?
All i’d like to know is if it’s ever coming out on PSN…I’ve waited to buy it digitally since it was announced.
Hope you have any info for either title.

I’ve tried the BFBC2 demo twice now and when i try to install it, it keeps coming up with error code 80029564 at 14%

I downloaded FFVIII, BFBC2 and AvP Demos yet when I go to install them I get the error:

“An Install Error Occurred During the Install Operation (80029564).”

I’ve never gotten this before, tried re-downloading, re-booting the wireless router, using a wired connection, yet I get the same error every single time.

What’s causing this and what do I do?

Is there any word on manking Final Fantacy7 Crisis COre downloadable?

For those that have been questionning the quantity of games added to the store for the PSPGo; I’ve been keeping a list of the store updates for the UK since the pspgo was released. Since October 1st there have been about 100 PSP games added (which rises to about 160 when you include ps1 games and minis). That doesn’t include all the games added to the store before the PSPgo was released.

160 over 4 months is 40 a month or about 8 a week.

I guess its upto everyone else whether they think thats enough

On a previous blog post about the minis it said:
Mahjongg Artifacts: Chapter 2 €2.99/£2.99 now €1.99/£1.74

yet, its £2.49 on the store?!.. Why?

Mike, I think you guys do a great job but there are still improvements to be made. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver are both up on the US store but not ours. Just a heads up that you’re working on it would be great. Also, there are some first party Sony titles for PSOne that should really be up and be a lot easier to get the rights to like Legend of Dragoon, Omega Boost, Ape Escape (which is up on the Japanese store) and Tombi 1 & 2(this one may not be possible since the developer went bust but Sony published it so I can only hope). And I would love it if we could get some games that never came out here in the PSOne era like Xenogears or Chrono Cross. Sin and Punishment was pretty successful when it was released on the US and PAL Virtual consoles. (cont..)

The store itself could do with some interface improvements like a demo section. I would also like to be able to gift games (I want to get a friend Braid), access the PS3 store from my PC and possibly pre-order titles. I know I’m pretty much describing Steam but it’s the market leader on the PC for a reason and I get used to its niceties but prefer to game on my PS3 and handhelds.

When will Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment be added to the Store? I’ve bought a PSN Voucher today specifically for this game, but it’s not in the Store, is it?

The AvP demo seems to be having problems, i played a few matches when it was released before but at one point it just stopped finding games to join and is still stuck. Some other people have came across this to on the forums to. Could you look into it?

Any word on the Heavy Rain demo?

AVP demo is finding hardly any games when you search. I sat there for about 20 minutes and it didn’t find one game.

AVP demo fail! I’ve had one game in 45mins of waiting to find a game. Says it finds one and its waiting for players…then goes back to searching for games again! Please sort it out

AvP demo is broken, or server or whatever, it ain’t connecting, stuck at either searching for games or at waiting for others… dammit.

even at the reduced prices the minis arent worth it. i rather spend that money on the apple app store and get games 10 times better at the same price,the dudes makin the minis need to step their game up.
nothing for me this week. hopefully the ass creed II dlc drops next week.
