So this is the LAST WEEKEND you will be able to play the ModNation Beta. Sadly all good things have to come to an end. For those of you who got on to the Beta and only had a quick play I would suggest you go back and just revisit the Madness and see how creative your fellow ModNation fans have been.
From some awesome wild and wacky race tracks that have completely blown my mind to some of the most amazingly creative Mods and Karts.
All I can say is thank you for testing the game and being so creative with a small amount of tools.
Finally, last week on the blog I challenged you to create a few more PlayStation Characters. You guys surprised even me with the most amazing Buzz, Jak and Daxter creations I’ve ever seen.
Well done guys you did me proud. Enjoy your last weekend of playing.

I’d like to call on everybody who’s got the demo to get your helmet on this weekend and do some racing.
Last couple of days, I haven’t seen anyone in the demo, or at least not enough to start a race…

I’ll make sure to give it one last go then!
Out of interest have you guys (ie the devs) been reading the Official EU Forum for all the user feedback? There’s some great feature ideas on there and ways to improve the game – but I was wondering if you were actually seriously taking it on board or if you are just more interested in load testing the servers at this stage and aren’t really interested in what the public beta masses think?

Hi Apnormis,
We have been taking a look at the official Beta forum, The feedback we are getting should help shape the final product so all ideas are great to hear.

I think this might have the same problem that LBP had, thousands of people making their own tracks with no interest in others creations. Although this seems to have been tackled with a podium you can go to that seems to put a bunch of random tracks into a GP, so even the most obscure and unknown creations can get a chance to be seen easily. Just hope the loading times are improved when it comes to retail, because I definitely won’t be buying the game if it takes that long to load each section. (i’m that impatient, sorry)

please please please do something about the camera perspective.. the game is awesome, but when drifting up a hill or something like that you can barely see where you are going
thats the only thing keeping me from preordering

I got the beta, but never be able to play it online. Either I couldn’t log in or I’m disconnected while I’m in the race

Is there going to be a 4 player multiplayer offline in the final game?

I tried the Beta.
If it was more like CTR would be a must-buy.
Honestly the game needs more improvement on the camera (like WeTeHa said) and at the controls.

Hi Everybody,
Great game and very fun to make on tracks.
Can agree on the camera when you drift. Hard to see the track if you go upwards.
They need to fix the load times between the different areas.
The “spinning weel” is not so fun to look at.
I also hope that they make the area where you can place your track a little bit bigger so the area don’t limit the track.
