I’m pleased with the array of wares we have on offer this week, from a new batch of special offers (with the second phase of minis offers in celebration of minis month), to new games, demos, additional content, avatars and themes, there really is something for everyone. Don’t argue, there is, okay
Game highlights this week come in the form of Peggle Nights and Revenge of the Wounded Dragon for PS3, and SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 3 and Half-Minute Hero for PSP. I know these titles have been asked about a fair bit in recent weeks, so now you can get your hands on them.
There’s lots of additional content this week, notably the next sequence for Assassin’s Creed II, but also for those of you who have not yet got into the world of Burnout Paradise, we have two new, special bundles for you. The Complete Edition collects the full game, and all the packs that have been previously released, whilst there is also the Complete DLC Bundle that collects all the individual packs only (for those of you who already have the full game).
That’s not all, there’s a host of other content also available…full details in the list below.

Thanks for the Sonic & Sega demo
.
Will the separate DLC’s from burnout drop in price too?
.
I only need the boost cars, I already got all the others (except for the time-savers pack (who needs that anyway?)). But I think the boost cars are overpriced
And any idea if and when there will be an MotoGP 09/10 demo?

I think that with the 1 year celebration of Flower the dynamic theme should’ve been given for free during a day or two.

Hello all, I’ve just got a silly question or 2 about the RE5 DLC.
Do you need to complete the full game before you can play the downloaded episodes? Same with the new costumes, can you use them before finishing the game? Thanks in advance. Good update by the way!

Yo, Mike! There’s no Desperate Escape on the store!

It was pulled from the update – it’s not out until March.

Mike
Socom FTB3 asks for a code to get online. It says it’s found on the back of the manual. As I downloaded this from PSN the manual doesn’t have a ‘back’.
Any help would be appreciated as the Sony customer service staff as usual dont have a clue!
Cheers

I’ve been told that the entitlement has now been packaged up with the digital copy so anybody purchasing now will get the code to play online; however, for those people who downloaded it yesterday and are having problems, please contact consumer services and they will now be able to help you out and get you playing online.
Apologies for the inconvenience.

Posted on 19 February, 2010 at 12:23 pm by Mike Kebby
No, I’m telling you if you contact consumer services they will rectify the problem for you.

Oh alright thanks for the info…however since I am in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and there is no actual customer service number for our particular store, am I going to have to email the support or call the European store customer service center?

This is the second time I have been stung by buying a game on release day. I bought Assassins Creed on day 1, only to have to wait over a week to get a fixed version, now I get Socom on day 1, and I now have to wait yet again. Its the last time I buy a game as soon as its released, which makes me sad. Can I perhaps just re-download the game ???

SOCOM FTB 3 Online fiasco. Called Sony Support, told the game is single only, must buy the 7.99 code to play online. Stated this was incorrect, didn’t believe me and have now escalated my call to be told same thing.
I have audio recording and case number Mike if you can assist in anyway.
Also on-going thread with more details in the usual forums.

I’m trying to ensure that the correct information is given, so that anybody who has experienced this problem gets it resolved by consumer services asap.

i got a return phone call from support after them telling me i had to fork out another £8. this time the guy told me they’re emailing the codes out but it might take a month. brilliant. they won’t refund so i can download the working version.
at least when you phone microsoft up about an xbox live purchase problem they sort it out rapidly and refund affected people. I have had them sort stuff out for me before now and it takes them minutes, not weeks.

Regarding SOCOM FTB3 online ability:
Called Sony Support again told the same as wardenxx (above).
Thanks Mike, we appreciate your assistance and I realise this is the puiblishers fault not the Sony Reps.

Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing was a great demo I’ll properly end up buying it on release I just hope a lot of people will be playing online when it’s out. I can’t wait for Yakuza 3 the demo was quite long it was excellent that game I’ll be buying on release I just hope Yakuza 3 will sell well so Sega will release Yakuza 4 in Europe.

Can’t find the Blink 182 Guitar Hero Track Pack.
Isn’t it available in Austria Store??
Posted on 19 February, 2010 at 5:54 pm by Mike Kebby
Activision asked us to remove the tracks and pack from the store (all locales), and they’ll now be released at a later date?
Posted on 19 February, 2010 at 5:57 pm by Mike Kebby
Not sure why I added a question mark at the end of that sentence, it’s not a question, the tracks and pack WILL release at a later date.

Hey Mike,
Not posted before. Quick question, I haven’t trawled through all the comments and questions for the last 3 months, so apologies if you’ve already covered this elsewhere:
Will Dissidia Final Fantasy be released on PSP GO for European Delectation?
Ta for any clearing up on this.
Demi.

I’m also curious on the Square-Enix title release dates; it seems every time someone asks a question about them, it gets ignored.
Mike, is there any reason that Square-Enix title discussion (Crisis Core, Dissidia, FFIX, etc) is routinely ignored? Should we hold out hope that those titles are actually going to make it to the PSN?
Crisis Core for example; if you go to the official page on the Sony US site, every comment is something along the lines of “great game, when’s it coming to PSN?”. No one seems to have any information and even something as simple as “yes, it’s coming, no we don’t know when” would at least keep our hopes alive for being able to play this game, especially for us PSP Go! owners.

@Demiurge82 – When asked before, Mike has stated that he doesn’t have (or can’t admit to) dates for various games and therefore can’t say when or whether they’ll see digital release.
…However the community remains hopeful – the recurrent appearance of the PSOne Final Fantasy games in the top downloads lists must convince Squeenix that the market is more than willing to buy. (Final Fantasy 8 and 7 are at positions 1 and 5 in the UK PSP downloads charts; Vagrant Story is at number 3…)
(Also note that Mike doesn’t usually respond this late in the week – he’s already moved on to preparing next week’s heads-up)
