Hiya and welcome to this weeks SingStore update
As always, you can find the full tracklisting below so I will keep this one short and sweet. There’s some more Lionel Richie (if you didn’t think the SongPack was enough) with ‘You Are’ and Truly’ plus cool tracks from the awesome Wolfmother, Pixi Lott, The Human League and Desmon Dekker. All in all, a nice little mix, don’t you think!?
The best thing ever this week however is the rockin’, rollin’ Stereophonics SongPack which includes five of their finest hits, from classic ‘Maybe Tomorrow’ to more recent material such as ‘Innocent’ and ‘Could You be The One?’.
And that’s not all folks because with this SongPack we are also launching an exclusive Stereophonics competition. All you have to do is upload a video of yourself performing any of the Stereophonics tracks from the SongPack to MySingStar Online and you’ll automatically be entered into the competition.

Rockstarmd@ I’m so with you… The US team is surely not there for us… They don’t seem to update the blog or even reply… Nina was good for us when she was doing the updates on the US blog… Maybe they need to fire whom ever they got to update the blog for us and try someone else maybe Nina!!!

Nina, good to see Human League making an appearance! Any chance of giving us Love Action, Don’t You Want Me or, though not strictly Human League, Together In Electric Dreams? And how about some OMD? In fact, whilst we’re at it, how about 80s classics such as:

On another point, is there any chance of providing an update that would allow more than 20 names to be remembered (at the last count I had 23 friends/family/associates!) and would also allow more than 8 players to take part in pass-the-mic? Might need to increase the maximum number of rounds beyond 7, too. Just a suggestion.

Hi there,
Yes, if a song is available in your territory then you can download it, no matter what language.
You probably have your language set to Spanish, so all you have to do to is, when in the store, press L2 and set the langauge from ‘default’ or ‘Spanish’ to ‘all’. All available foreign language songs should now also appear for you to download.

Frustratingly bad update; the market catered for has narrowed right back down again. If what the Singstar team are going for then fine, but it’s not nice waiting a fortnight hoping for even just a couple of decent tracks, only to be disappointed again.
Recent updates have actually featured some OK indie-ish tracks, but once again all semblance of rock is missing. It’s not as if we’re talking some obscure genre here – rock is essentially a sub-genre of pop anyway and immensely popular. I know you can’t get Muse, but even something in the same ballpark would be nice.
I assume the Stereophonics tracks won’t be available separately either, so I won’t be able to get the one decent track on there – don’t really want to pay £5 for a single song.

Nina,
I noticed that some of the big songs from the last few updates (e.g. Avril Lavigne’s “Girlfriend”, Pink’s “Who Knew” and “U + Ur Hand”, Kelly Clarkson’s “Behind These Hazel Eyes” and “Since U Been Gone”, The Veronica’s “4ever”) were all co-written/produced by Dr Luke.
Is there any chance we’ll get some more songs that Dr Luke was involved with in future updates? Like maybe…

Excellent update on the Stereophonics side, since they are showing Sony love (songs on singstar, apperance in Home) is there any chance you could get them re release more songs on singstar haha.

I’m actually having a problem downloading the latest updates. They seem to be locked for some reason and I can’t see the Sterophonics Pack at all. Is there a server problem at the moment? When will I be able to purchase these songs?

Hi Nina, anyone said anything about the bug in (Keep Feeling) Fascination – when you start it as a Duet, it gives you a choice of ‘lead’ or er, ‘lead’ instead of ‘lead’ and ‘backing’ ? I remember one of the other duets did that originally and had to get patched?
Hope to get more Human League and other 80s songs soon, how about “The Promise” from When in Rome? New Order’s True Faith, B52s – Love Shack, all great songs!

Fixed but will not be available until the next update. Please delete and re-download the track after the 11th March update and it should all work fine.
