Hello, PlayStation Bloggers!!! we’re back to talk about the downloadable PSP game echoshift which is being released on the PlayStationNetwork store this Thursday 25th February and will also be available in stores this week. This innovative puzzle game will bring a fun and refreshing style of game play to PlayStationPortable fans of all ages.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with the title already, echoshift is a spin-off of the PSN hit echochrome for PS3 and PSP, and shares a similar artistic design. It features a new challenge for gamers to learn how to interact with your past actions. The soundtrack to the original echochrome, which was sort of a modern take on classical music, was one of its strong points, and echoshift is no different with an all-new soundtrack composed by a new group of musicians that elegantly sets the pace for the unique game play.
The game is based on solving the puzzles and obstacles in each level to reach the exit, but within a short or limited amount of time. Luckily the game records an “echo” of your actions, which replays itself when time runs out so you can then try again from the beginning alongside all of your previous echoes. So basically you are cooperating with all of the echoes and actions you just did to complete challenges you couldn’t in a single run-through! Check out this trailer to see echoshift in action:
This creative approach to solving puzzles is easy to learn, but harder to master, with over 30 different kinds of puzzles to wrap your brain around. You’ll have to quickly plan your actions and echoes in order to beat all 56 levels. The game also comes with three different game modes for each level, which will challenge you to find new ways to solve puzzles faster than you have before. Buyers can take all of this content on the go with them for just €16.99 (PSN) or €19.99 UMD starting this Thursday!
Whether you’re looking for a quick portable puzzle fix, or hours of mind-bending puzzle madness, I hope everyone enjoys echoshift. Stay tuned for future updates!

“Coming this week to PSN” a first on the list of articles not to read from now on. Because I know, I’ll go to the article with interest, and soon after, I’ll have the reaction of “oh, they want me to play it on one of those?”
Of course, at that point I just switch off from the game, instead.
There’s a PlayStation Network that isn’t unified between platforms, and that’s a shame. Why not offer an pay-for PSP emulator, on PS3, because at least that way, you get an extra software sale.

@V_Ben
It’s ironic considering the amount of times the opposite has happened – despite the euro being more widespread in Europe.
I agree though, the two dominant currencies of the region should ALWAYS be quoted if stating a price.

Always the same story: 17€ in Europe, and 15$ (11€) in US.
c’mon Sony!

The UMD is already cut to 13£ (14.8€) on the usual online stores.
Digital release once again cheaper in the US by far…
For those interested, I have recently began cataloging the PSN prices here:

I’m not sure how much that is in GBP, but I’m guessing it’s over £10. Judging by the demo, it isn’t really worth that price. echochrome micro was good but I even regretted paying 6 odd quid for that.

As somebody who bought and enjoying Echocrome and liked the demo of Echoshift, £12 is way TOO much!
