PlayStation.Blog.Europe Weekly Content Recap
Heavy Rain is now out and, at least here in London, the weather has been joining in on the fun with frequent downpours. Still — all the more reason to stay indoors and start creating your personal Heavy Rain story. Speaking with journalists who have finished the game, I haven’t found anyone whose stories ended the same yet, so I’ll be intrigued to hear how you all get on. Apologies I know this is in the wrong place but is there any chance of Sony producing more copies of the GOW3 Ultimate Edition for the people who missed out? There seems to be a high demand for this edition.

You asked last week what I thought of Heavy Rain after I played it and well(no spoilers):
This game was the most gripping and exciting thing I have ever experienced.
I sat through it non-stop, 9 hours of gameplay and literally EVERY scene had me on the edge of my seat or at the very least kept me entertained
Books or movies can’t even get close to this in my opinion, if gaming expanded more towards this angle, everyone will be craving the next videogame blockbuster and not movies.
The fact that you know anything can truly happen as the game doesn’t protect the main characters makes every dangerous situation tense and exciting.
MANY small touches all over the game shows so much care went into it and it’s through that caring they give us something very special.
The story was so much more complex, so much more unpredictable and so much more intelligent than I expected as well.
I can’t sum up or express my gratitude towards this experience and how excellent it was, it was simply something out of this world.
10/10.
And:
Please bring back the PS3 splash screen when opening games, thank you

I got it and finished it in a marathon 10 hour siting on thursday
And i must say it is one of (if not the) most grippin, suspenseful, emotional games i have ever played. Without spoiling anything…The trials…Especially one in particular…Had me screaming in pain!
Awesome game. Halfway through my second playthrough

I found it very hard to put down, too. Found myself talking to myself and making very odd noises at the TV quite often whilst playing.
Glad you’re having fun with it.

I have a PSPgo but I can’t buy any of the games I bought a PSP for! Where is Dissidia: Final Fantasy? Where is Final Fantasy I, II and Tactics? Where is Crisis Core: FFVII? Where is Half Minute Hero?
I did not buy a PSP to play PSone games! I bought a PSP to play PSone AND PSP games! When are we going to see more PSP games on the store? When am I not going to regret buying this console?
This is not good enough! SERIOUSLY! Is there anyone I can contact directly and lobby for the cause? God knows leaving comments on the blog has achieved stuff all.
I WANT MORE PSP GAMES ON THE STORE! I WANT TO SPEND MONEY BUT YOU WON’T LET ME SCEE!!!!

So id been looking forward to heavy rain seeing as i was a fan of farenheight before it and I gotta say my high expectations were surpassed, well done quatinc dream on another great title and well done sony for having the balls to release such a polerising title, its things like this that make me prefer the PS3 over the other consoles as there are more uncommon games on the machine like folklore, demons souls and valkyria chronicles.
Heavy rain seems to be selling pretty well, the gaming forum i frequent has a few people who are quite positive about the game and one of the staff remarked about how they had to stop taking orders breifley as the game was selling better than they could handle.
I hope there will be some support in purchasable DLC in the future like extra alternative scenarios or even different (if shorter) stories to go through.
Oh and btw whoever had the idea to include and origami lesson and supply the paper for while the game installs deserves a bonus.

Only one thing comes to my mind to describe Heavy Rain – masterpiece! I found myself screaming to my TV ‘I’m not going to die here! Not like this!’ on certain chapter of HR. And my parents were like [Deleted] when they heard me :p
