I'm glad someone finally took the advice of Johnny Lee Chung to take motion tracking to a whole new level with the capability to dodge bullets. Not sure what to expect yet, but I'm happy someone is listening to that brilliant man whether they know it or not.

yo i am really really really looking forward to this playstation move but if it like 100$ or more im sorry but i would rather buy 2 games instead of that and i dont know why people are saying this is alot like the wii... well this is to you people that think that, does the wii have HD/blurey? does the wii have games that are for adults? the wii is for 10 years and younger if you ask me, however in some cases it does have a similarity like to nunchuk thing and the substitute controler... yea thats all??? and does the will let you spin around no!!!! in wii sports boxing it just you being retarded and moving right and then it goes left like a glitch..

Ciretho - "whilst the Move would provide a novel FPS experience, it’s not as efficient, nor as simple as the basic controller"

you obviously haven't played metroid on the Wii, when done right the motion / pointing control method is vastly superior to analog controls... vastly

Hopefully it's already in progress but if not could you patch Killzone 2 for use with MOVE please? I would love to go online with the fast and accurate MOVE in KZ2. Thanks

And also speaking for FPS enthusiasts, they are really not going to be wanting a controller that puts them at a disadvantage towards the other players. Lets face it, whilst the Move would provide a novel FPS experience, it's not as efficient, nor as simple as the basic controller, and in a competitive mindset, thats much more important than an uninspired movement detection device. Hell, if they were to use any other controller, it would be one of those controller/mouse hybrids which are closer to a pc mentality than a competing console.

I realise you're trying to appeal towards this 'casual gamer' market that everyone keeps going on about, but lets face it, from the word go, this console was never designed for casual play, so lets appeal to the more serious gamers, and give us a decent meal rather than expensive brunch.

I never imagined 'competing' would be exchangable with 'pastiche' but here it apparently seems to be the case. The idea that providing something another console already has will provide success is simply illogical and will only amount to further console failings. Don't get me wrong, I support Sony, and own a ps3, but maybe it's time to get the act together?

How about trying to provide us with something -new-? Something to have over the other consoles, rather than matching them? Something to justify the still comparitively steep pricetag? Sure you can spout on about 'motion-sensors' and 'glowing orbs', but it all boils down to more waggling, and if people want to waggle, they're going to waggle on the (much) cheaper console with the game base that has almost 300 releases a -year-.

It looked ok when I first saw a clip of it last year it but it looks amazing now that its finally finished.

Microsoft's project Natal is just an advanced version of Playstation Eye with games that are just like the wii only you dont need a remote and the wii has still made the mistake of not attracting us hardcore gamers. I appreciate the effort sony has made into developing a technology a lot further than what exist already on the wii. The idea might be like the wii but it sure looks like something else. Really looking forward to getting one.

looks great. but i cant help but wonder, won't you need a whole second playstation move controller to play games like the that street fight game, gladiator and the archery? I know the starter kit will be less than 100$ but to buy another move controller for the majority of the games seems like a lot of money.

mark hardy,,

im just wondering if sony could make two different sub motion controllers..

i.e. the offical one has the, circle and the x buttons..
im just wondering if you guys could make one that has the square and triangle..aswell to give the consumer a choice..

theres also another reason why im asking and thats because i would love to sync two of these sub controllers together to make a sub controller/DS3...
i just think that the MOVE controller would have been sooo killer if it had an analog stick on it..

but thats not to say im not impressed with it...
i cant wait for its release...
but i would love the idea of syncing two SCs together to make a DS3!! it would be soo comfortable!!
whatcha think?
