This Thursday, 11 March, the wait for THE EYE OF JUDGMENT LEGENDS will finally be over as the game becomes available for download on PlayStation Network. Enjoy the ultimate digital card game experience for the PlayStation Portable system everywhere you go.
As mentioned previously, THE EYE OF JUDGMENT LEGENDS features game play based on digital cards that players collect, trade, and use to battle against others. Fans of the PlayStation3 system hit THE EYE OF JUDGMENT will enjoy updated card balancing and new strategies, as well as the ability to easily carry your entire digital card collection to build the perfect deck. Collect the Rare and Ultra Rare cards to build more unique battle decks! Plus there’s an all new Story mode created exclusively for the PSP version, where you’ll unfold an epic journey to save the world from the evil Lord Biolith.
Check out the trailer for the game now, which will also be available on the PlayStation Store.
There are also two multiplayer modes for head-to-head card battles, Ad-hoc and Infrastructure. Ad-hoc mode lets you face off against another player locally over Wi-Fi, as well as trade cards from your collection. Infrastructure mode lets you battle another player online and compares the top scores among players all around the world!
Infrastructure mode also makes global tournaments possible for THE EYE OF JUDGMENT LEGENDS. See if you have what it takes to rank among the top players in the world, and observe battle tactics from other players you challenge that may improve your skills for future tournaments. The first tournament will be held 11 March at 3:00 AM GMT, and last until 18 March 9:00 AM GMT. This will be a great warm-up to the many strategies and approaches to card battles. To even the field, Ultra Rare cards will be restricted from the first tournament. Hurry and buy the game on March 11 so you can practice and build your card collection before the tournament begins! Stay tuned to the blog for additional tournament announcements.

Not that I’m always after material things but would the tournaments yield prizes?
I was a big fan of EoJ on the PS3, managed to get all of Set 1 and Set 2, still after a few for Set 3. Having this portable and better yet no needing to buy trading cards makes this awesome!
My copy has already been posted so I will look forward to playing it when it arrives.

Will the tournament be open for NA players (and, consequently, will we be getting the game today as well..?)?

@Bonyman, no, you don’t use the camera in EoJ Legends, the cards are all digital

Nice! Will definitely be buying the UMD next time I’m in the store.
But… the move to PSP – why? Why not give owners of the PS3 game a story update and/or an option to use digital cards?
I’d sure play EoJ on my PS3 a lot more if I didn’t have to set up the mat and camera first. You could even sell digital booster packs on PSN.

@ zonaw
The country listing at the top is for changing languages. According to the Playstation Store post which has this release listed, the game is for all of Europe.

As with #12 I`d like to be abe to play PS3 EoJ without the need to set up Camera and Mat. Having young children means I can`t play it as much as I`d like and with very few shops stocking the card packs I really struggled to get rare/ultra rare cards without resorting to ebay.
I`ll settle for Legends for now but any chance of an EoJ 2 on PS3?

All is nice and well. How about a reboot of the game on the PS3 please?

Amazing game!! Downloaded the demo right away and I was sold. Played it now for 3 hours, really love how it’s exactly like the original, without the trouble of the camera and cards.
Story mode is a nice addition, especially fun that the “opponents” actually appear as cards. I don’t have a clue what the story is about though, that seems a bit messy to me.
