Howdy everyone and welcome to your 10th ‘Heads-Up’ of the 2010. How the weeks fly by! Once again I’m standing in for Mike while he’s away working hard so it falls to me to deliver the gaming goodness.
For your PS3 this week, we’ve got Capcom’s sublime Mega Man 10 in all his 8-bit glory – retro gaming at its finest (and most challenging).
With all the Resident Evil 5 DLC recently, maybe you’ve been thinking about picking up a copy for yourself, so we’ve dug out the Resident Evil 5 demo from the archive for a limited time for you to have another go and help make up your minds. For those of you who own the game and have been holding out on grabbing the new levels, hold out no more as we’ve got the Untold Stories bundle, collecting both of the new missions and both costume packs in one convenient package.
The Dragon Age expansion, Return to Ostagar makes its way to the PSN Store just in time to whet your appetite for ‘Awakening’ which will be with you next week. Moving on, it’s time to get back in your bathysphere for the first expansion for Bioshock 2 - the Sinclair Solutions pack is now available to extend your Rapture multiplayer experience.
After slender pickings last week, you’re in Handheld Heaven today with two new minis, five PSOne Classics (all of which will sit just as well on your PS3 of course) and a selection of PSP titles old and new.
Two fantastic PS3 franchises make the jump to PSP this week – the fast paced, team-slaughtering, royalty-stuffing, confectionary-munching Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake and the slightly more sedate, but no less brilliant tactical card battling game, Eye of Judgement Legends.
We’ve got a brand new version of SEGA’s arcade classic, Afterburner and the legendary puzzle adventure MYST heading up the rest of this week’s offering, which also includes tower assaults, car combat, square pants and a flying platypus. And if you haven’t picked up Echoshift yet, to help put things in perspective we’re throwing two brand new levels packs your way, absolutely free.
That’s all for this week guys, I’ll be around for comments and Mike will be back with you on the 18th March.
Oh, almost forgot. We’ve got a fighting game featuring some characters from some of the biggest selling RPGs of all time. Maybe you’ve heard of it? It’s called DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY.

Hail Ross, welcome back and thanks for your support once again.
I guess the next part of your training should be coming with a crappy update to deal with all the whining.
You are having it good! Second time you come with nice titles, Mike is not that lucky
But not the case this week, Dissidia is downloading, buying it for second time annoys me a bit, but upgrading to pspgo has that prize, I knew it so won´t compain about it.
Just to make social pressure I´ll ask for crisis core, square can´t let that big title of of our reach.
Keep it up guys, good job!

Screw Abes, Tomb Raider, Vagrant Story, Resident Evil and Castlevania. The only game that belongs on my system is SuperStar Dance Club.
Ohhhhh noes!!!! Not available in New Zealand.
Dang!!

Can totally recommend Rocket Racing, 3.99 is the top end for a mini but this is the best mini I have so far by a long way and well worth the asking price. With a few more features (online, score boards) it would have been worth twice that and more as a full-blown PSN game.

Yea i’m still waiting for vagrant story to appear back on the NZ PSN. In the lead up to ffxiii i had a bit of a squaresoft binge and bought ffviii on the psn and played a few other final fantasys. Went to go buy vagrant story a few weeks back and it was gone. What a bugger, it better come back. Oh i’m sure australia and nz get jipped because we oppose japanese whaling lol, jokes. But on a serious note, since it got pulled due to a lack of a rating, they must be legally obliged to get it rated since they sold digital copies already otherwise they would be liable to fines for selling an unrated game. Still it makes no sense that it got pulled as the law states “Under section 8 of the Act, video games (any video recording that is designed for use wholly or principally as a game) are exempt from labelling requirements, and don’t have to be classified – unless the game would be likely to be restricted if it was classified”, maybe the OFLC suddenly decided that it did need classification, who knows… Lets just hope they put it back on the psn afterwards. Its probably as easy as clicking a box for NZ under vagrant story on the psn administrator website.

And apparently it costs $27 to get a game cross rated in NZ, meaning that if a game is rated G, PG or M in Australia you can pay $27 and apply for that rating to be put on the NZ release, Cheap and Simple. It doesn’t work for a game that is M15+ in Aussie though. So does anyone in Australia know vagrant story’s rating?
