Hello, hello.
It feels like it’s been ages since I was last on here. How you all doing? I’m back, my feet are under the table again, and I’m dug in for the long haul. It feels good to be here again
We have a new batch of special offers available this week, with the mini title Yummy Yummy Cooking Jam joining the fun. This is the first mini title joining the special offers section, and marks the first of many that will be making an appearance over the coming weeks and months.
As mentioned earlier in the week on the blog, Wakeboarding HD is released and will provide some awesome fun for you. Also released this week is the massive expansion pack for Dragon Age: Origins, Awakening. This pack adds about 25 hours of story related missions, as well as new characters and skills.
Finally, as also mentioned on the blog earlier this week, Patchwork Heroes is released for the PSP, and again looks like it’s going to provide hours of fun.
As usual, I’ll be around all day checking out your comments, so I’ll probably catch you around.
Cheers all, have a good week!

For all the Dutch-people who are wondering about Dragon Age:Awakening……look at the site of nedgame.nl……they say the disc is expected in May!!!
Here the Dutch-story…..if it is alowed???
Dragon Age Origins Awakening

Oh this hurts my feelings, if I want to play the Dragon Age Awakening expansion, then I’m forced to pay an amount of money which isn’t justified in terms of what I’m paying for. I’ve read about lots of bugs, short gameplay and that DLC doesn’t carry over from Origins to Awakening. I have to give a thumbs down on this one even if the expansion could be a good one. Oh and download only? Yeah right, lucky me there are several other games in the market stores that wants to be played…

any ideas on whats happening with the GOW3 unearthing the legend documentary?
picked up my ultimate edition yesterday and besides being seriously disappointed 250 bucks for a plastic box the documentary did not come with the code.
i used the code and all it allowed me to download was the character skins and blood and metal EP.

Wonder if the clear mis-pricing glitch for DAO:A will correct itself in 24 hours like other glitches that have affected the PS3 recently

Wouldn’t surprise me if this DA:A price isn’t a dig at Sony for all the lost revenue from not being able to release on disc and PSN. If that is the case then EA are being even more stupid by losing a majority of their PSN sales through it.

for all we know it’s microsoft throwing money at bioware cause you can’t forget mass effect but it’s no use speculating

This: no DLC on disc policy is balony. Why does the GTA Liberty City stories, 2 DLC’s release on blu ray in 2 weeks, hmmm? Its not a new game, so I’ve been told by Skookie30, as the DLC will add to the game data on your HDD. So what’s this deal about DAO Awakening?
And again Sony, fix the darn browser! I no longer have a PC but I can’t check any videos or several websites don’t even work on the browser. Heck even the Wii browser is better. I can’t post via the PS3 browser on here, I have to turn on my Wii for that, how ironic is that? Wii even has Hotmail, its that obvious and M$ hate each other’s guts.

@Outhofathens, aha you have an example of why the policy is nonsense if that info ought to be true.

All good stuff. Downloaded Wakeboarding HD last night and so far it’s looking like £11.99 very well spent, great fun.

I’d just like to voice my opinion about the Dragon Age expansion. I loved DA and I was waiting for the expansion, but after seeing it’s download only for us in EU and it’s price, I simply won’t buy it. I payed 26€ for the game not long after it was released and I am in no way paying ~35€ for a download only expansion.
I realize that at the moment both sides (Sony/EA) are just pointing fingers at each other when angry gamers complain about the decisions made, and it is ridiculase. You are both on a loss (I for instance will think twice the next time about which console version of a multiplatform game I buy, and I’m not buying awakening)
I am voicing my opinion as a consumer, therefore I am not buying the expansion in this form. Hopefully more will join me and next time around more consumer friendly decisions will be made.

Hey Mike, not sure if you’ll read this(I’ll repost Thursday if not)
But could you please look into getting the following games on PSN from PSone?
WipEout 2097
WipEout 3
G-Police 2 Weapons of Justice
Colony Wars
Alundra
Overboard
Destruction Derby 2
All of these were published by Psygnosis who are now Studio Liverpool so are Sony games to publish right? We already have a few games from Psygnosis on the store so it shouldn’t be a problem right?
Then these too:
Kurushi
Parappa the Rapper
Warhawk(PSone original)
Um Jammer Lammy
Wild Arms
Vib Ribbon
All of these were published by Sony. Seriously these games will sell and surely it would be free money for you guys at this point? Make it so Mike. These are the games we all want to see

EA really screwed the pooch on this one. I would’ve been more than happy to buy DA: Awakening as I loved the original game. But 32 pounds for an expansion? Where do they get off pricing it like that?
You can buy it on a disc for the 360 for 25, and that includes the case, the disc, the manual and shipping costs. So how exactly does a download only version cost MORE than that?
I’m going to speak with my wallet on this one, they’re not seeing a penny from me, I hope others do the same to show them that they can’t get away with shafting us like this.

£32 for DLC? I bought the collector’s edition of the game for less than the add on pack. Where is the logic? £25 on disc for Xbox 360 isn’t bad but £32 for download? I could buy a new release full game for that price so why would I buy it just for an expansion that once I’ve finished it will just be an expensive lump of data on my HDD? Biggest rip off I’ve seen for a long time. £32 for 2GB of data just isn’t worth the money. I for one won’t be buying this if it’s not released on disc or under goes at least a £20 price cut.
Is this extortionate price the reason why the Feast day packs where free on PSN and not on XBLA?

Just adding my voice to the general murmuring about DAO:A.
I picked up DAO from Asda last weekend for the princely sum of £15, which just makes the expansion price seem even MORE extortionate.
Poor decision from SCEE to limit the pack to download only…
TSA has posted an article yesterday about this – http://www.thesixthaxis.com/2010/04/11/psn-dragon-age-why-so-expensive / – not that EA will pay any attention.
I just hope that EA/Bioware don’t look at the low sales in Europe and presume it was because no-one wanted it…
