Sony Corp’s new brand messaging, make.believe, has been around for a little while now, acting as an umbrella motto for the entire company. It’s a simple idea — believe that anything you can imagine, you can make real. This has inspired thatgamecompany, creators of two awesome PSN games, flOw and Flower, to the point where they took part in creating a brand video for the company. It shows where they came from and how they got to where they are now, and you can check it out below.

I hope Sony keeps investing in more companies like thatgamecompany and continue to push gaming as art. It has the potential to be the ultimate entertainment experience, and we are not quite there yet. Sony’s investment in things like Flower, Linger in Shadows, Heavy Rain and a host of other innovative titles, will hopefully games in all the directions they have the potential of encompassing.

Mmm, I’d rather see them make a new awesome game… instead of a video.

I adore thatgamecompany. I cannot wait for their next game. I would buy PlayStation Move just for one of their games if I had to. Which, judging from flOw and Flower’s sixaxis controls, I can see happening.

Well done, thatgamecompany, well done indeed! Flower was just plain awesome and I can’t wait to see where imagination and belief will carry you in the future! And even if not, I’m fairly sure quite a few of us would welcome additional Flower levels with open arms

I’m sure I heard something at some point about a Flower soundtrack. Maybe I dreamed it. If not, how’s it coming along? Or maybe I missed it.
In short: I want a Flower soundtrack.

well where as the ad itself is a bit, errrr….wet, i really hope Sony “aquire” thatgamecompany the same way they aquired Media Molecule. by the looks of it they’re pretty chummy n’all but as far as i am aware the 3 game exclusivity deal will end with their next offering and i want the to make games tailored for the PS3. that said i can imagine Natal being fairly compelling tech for tgc, let’s face it, their the only one’s who have been able to impliment motion control on the PS3 in a unique and meaningful way. other than flOw and Flower, motion controls are a bit of a joke on PS3. OK, Heavy Rain may have made a good stab at it, but it’s fairly superflous where as in flOw and Flower they define the experience.
Please Sony show some sense and make them an offer they can’t refuse. PLEASE!!!

“It’s a simple idea — believe that anything you can imagine, you can make real.” hmmm, let me give this a shot. I just created a ps3 theme for the game , God of War III. it’s here http://www.ps3-themes.com/gaming/god-of-war-iii.html I seriously doubt this would be possible, but can you post this theme on the psn store? I made all the icons, nothing copyrighted except the backgrounds I guess, but sony owns santa monica studios, so that shouldn’t be too much hassle. it’s completely updated for fw3.15. you wouldnt have to pay me, you wouldnt even have to put my name on it, I would just like to think that all of the work I put into it, made it worthy to be on psn. If this doesn’t work, the only wat to make it real would be to get a job with Sony entertainment, but my computer courses wont be finished for another 6 years and the playstation 4 could be out by then

thatgamecompany are brilliant, love their work!
However, “make.believe” does absolutely nothing for me.
