Hi everyone
As you all know, God of War III has now launched across all PAL Territories! For those of you who bought the game I hope you guys are enjoying Kratos’ brutal and pulse-pounding quest for revenge. For those who haven’t… what are you waiting for? Go and get the game right now!
Just wanted to show you the media kit we’ve distributed to a limited number of journalists across PAL Territories. It consists of:
- Worn ‘Omega’ wooden box
- God of War III game
- Illustrated brochure
- Kratos metal coin
- DVD with screenshots, artwork, concept visuals etc
- Art cards
- Mini poster
Now… the good news is that I’m looking to give some kits away through a competition that will run on the eu.playstation.com early next week. I will let you know when the competition is live, don’t you worry
For now, here are some visuals of the actual media kit itself. Hope you like it, any comments let me know.
Thach

Let me place a bet: Italy (as always) will be out of countries allowed to enter this one-time-in-life only contest.
Why breake the good tradition?

I have to agree, Journalists get this stuff, and guess what? it turns up in Computer Exchane and GAME stores traded for cash! Why bother? why not give the journalist a game a be done with it insteaD OF THESE GOODIES WHICH A COMPETITION FOR THE FANS WILL APPRECIATE MORE?

Firstly, those of you fortunate enough to get the Ultimate Trilogy edition, you guys need to chill because it’s fantastic – Probably the best collector’s edition released. Instead of complaining about it, sell it on eBay if you’re so unhappy with it, there’s plenty of people bidding for it and you can make a profit. I’m keeping mine, it holds dear sentimental value, and kudos to Thach and his team at SCEE to keeping us up to date with all the news prior to launch.
I do agree, the Media kit does look stonkingly attractive too, and any true God of War fan would be blessed to receive a copy. I’m entering the competition without fail. Just a quick question though, Thach.. How many copies are up for grabs in the competition?

I agree with the general disappointment for the pandora’s box, an horrible piece of plastic, or [DELETED] to be honest. Press-kits, as usual (see both Uncharted for example) are million time much better. Be careful if anyone is looking for a code to redeem the documentary Unearthing the Legend: it seems that this DLC check’s regional IP so trying to get this connecting with an US account is not enough if you live outside US/Canada

Well for anyone who wants the GOW: Collection in the UK, you can get it imported from GrangerGames for about £35. Its on their shelf now in the store. I bought it weeks ago, before GOW3 was released.
Its playable in the UK PS3… seems the only and cheaper solution if you dont want the massive Pandora Box like myself.

Am I the only one who think it sucks that the special editions we customers get always have crappy paper cards with 3D renders, a partial soundtrack CD with a poor selection and a box with nothing more than a barely different artwork, which we have to pay extra for, while journalists get mailed this awesomesauce package for nothing?
First of all, if I’m going to pay extra for a collector’s edition of a game I really want, I’m willing to REALLY pay extra for something like THAT. Second, there’s really no need to hide the fact that game developers are going the extra mile to impress the journalists only to get better reviews, since better reviews equate to better sales.
So basically, if you’re not going to sell it to us, and you’re only sending it to journalists to suck up some good reviews:
STOP RUBBING IT IN OUR FACE.
There.

I tried to enter this competition and i get this:
“We are unable to provide the page requested. To continue browsing playstation.com, you can try returning to the Home Page or using search”
I get this every time I try to enter a competition, what gives? is my entry in?
