Good morning all (not often I’m posting before lunch), today the store will be up nice and early, because we’re lovely folks like that
Lovely folks that bring you the PSP Favourites promotion (which I posted about earlier in the week) a new batch of Special Offers, more permanent price reductions and of course all that sparkly, shiny, new content that keeps you coming back for more (or is it my magnetic personality?).
I’m pleased to say we have available the pre-order for the forthcoming Sam and Max: The Devil’s Playhouse series of episodes. Until the launch of the first episode you can pre-order the bundle at a lower price, and then once the episodes are released (one each month) you can download them directly from the store. If you haven’t enjoyed any of the previous titles featuring this great team, then prepare for some serious fun; and it’s not much longer to wait until the first episode is upon us.
This week you’re also going to be able to take another trip into the world of Heavy Rain, with a new scene featuring Madison (some of you may recognise this as the scene that was used to demo the game at Leipzig 2008).
It goes without saying this is all served up with lots more great content, which is all handily listed below.
If I don’t get the chance to talk to you directly in the comments this week, have an awesome Easter, and see you on the flipside.
Cheers.

This update would actually make me happier if we were offered a FREE game, or 2, for having linux being taken away from us at least. Unfortunately we are being offered nothing in return for what I paid for.
No it is not the ONLY REASON I bought my ps3 for but it is ONE OF THEM. I would like to keep what I paid for, and if not, at least have some loyalty shown to me for once. I’ve spent TONNES on PSN, it’s time Sony show me loyalty.

Still no Ridge Racer or Ridge Racer 2 for my PSP Go, I really don’t understand why it’s not up. However the specials can put my mind off that fact for another week. +1

Do you have any info yet on the Euro pricing of the Sam $ Max Episodes when you don’t preorder/buy the bundle? It would be nice to know how much/little you can save by preordering.

I know what it will be, but not sure if I can share this yet, so to be safe I won’t say anything

Nothing for me sadly thanks to firmware 3.21 i’m no longer be able to get anything from the store.

Sony don’t care about their costumer, all that Sony cares is about get or money the rest is not their problem.

dang blast it. I was told Namco Museum Essentials was never coming out on the Europe store so I bought it on the US one a couple months ago. Does the Eu version work in our Home ok then? meaning do the arcade machines actually play cos the US ones don’t work on the EU home. If this one is fully compatible with my Eu Home then I might have to buy it again. Maybe you should gimme that for free as you took my linux away hmmm hmmmm? ah go on.
How much would Sam & Max work out if you don’t pre-order? I feel a bit uneasy pre-ordering downloadable games you can’t resell if you don’t like them. Sure I enjoyed the original game all them years ago but I dunno.

Best update in a while (for PS3 users it’s been very barren lately).
Sam and Max preorder and Heavy Rain DLC, been looking forward to these two. It would be nice to know how much we save on Sam and Max preorder though.
I’m presuming it’s a couple of quid, right?

why is it I always imagine Mike looking like that guy from friends with the same name? I know not all people called Mike look like that but I can’t get that image out of my head!
I’m getting a £20 PSN card for easter soon and I might buy myself another so I can afford a PSP Game, the heavy rain DLC, Sam and Max and some Home content.
Posted on 1 April, 2010 at 9:47 am by Mike Kebby
Hehe. I’d be happy to look like that guy (Paul Rudd), I think the girlfriend has a slight crush on him, so I’m sure she’d be happy too

@ 31 Sorry, but not good enough. Me and my partner are students, are not made of money, we have a laptop and the ps3 between us. We both attend uni. we used the ps3 for word processing for assignments and other needs. It was NOT useless to us. I couldn’t give 2 tosses about not many others using it.
I dont see how discounts and me handing even more money over to sony is any constillation over this Other OS fiasco.

So what is the Hammer Wars minis?
That makes 4 minis that I haven’t seen any screenshots of before release?

EULA’s are NOT binding in all cases as they would otherwise be giving up consumer rights allotted by law

Yet ANOTHER update with nothing of interest. I’ve had 17 euros on my PSN account for almost two months now! What is it with Sony Europe’s painfully slow service? I’m slowly losing my faith..
Still, any word on 1) PSone Classic Grandia and 2) Hamsterball, which according to TikGames’ Howard Lehr has already gotten a PEGI Rating (+7)? The usual excuse for the delay is the rating process, but since that’s already done with, why is it still absent from our Store?
Posted on 1 April, 2010 at 10:02 am by Mike Kebby
Hamsterball is coming, for some reason they released in the US before us (for once, every other title has released in the EU first).

Woah woah woah, SVR10 has had a permanant price reduction? So that’ll now mean SVR09 is more than it? I really don’t get what’s happening here. XD

Terrible update, made even more shocking by the removal of OtherOS.

Sorry but I disagree, this is far from a terrible store update, but of course you’re entitled to your opinion

Good looking update, but what is Hammer Wars?
50
Posted on 1 April, 2010 at 10:01 am by helghast102
@43
They aren’t violating your rights though, just protecting themselves from piracy.
If you want to keep linux, fine, don’t update, but to say it’s illegal? BS.
