This Week On The SingStore (22 April 2010)

I love this week’s update. Probably going to get 5 songs.

I support that comment for more mid-90s music with boybands/girlbands. Backstreet Boys, NSync, 98 Degrees, Spice Girls, etc… Hopefully those are on the wishlist at least. More Westlife would also be appreciated.

LOVE THIS! Finally songs that are modern and very now. Love Lady Gaga and would love to see ALL her songs eventually

I would also LOVE to see GLEE songs on there! More musicals, Wicked, West side story and many others!

Where Singstar is located, is the first English language (920 million) and French as second language (590 million).
Stop lying to us, we know very well that you can have any song in French. But you do not want to pay the price. You prefer to lie to us with stories of rights and taxation. But the release of U-Sing proves otherwise. Be honest and said clearly that you have no desire to spend more to please the 590 million French.

Do you mean ps2 Singstar discs or ps2 games in general? The ps3 slim isn’t backwards compatible for most games, however, you can play ps2 Singstar games. Start playing Singstar by using a ps3 Singstar disc, then use the ‘swap disc’ facility whilst you’re at the carousel.

Note: You will need to have downloaded one of the Singstar updates released since December 2008, which you have probably already done if you’ve got your ps3 online.

French protest against the poor French content Singstar.
- The French deserve the right to have real French song.
- Stop taking the French for idiots, give them some real content.
- The French are tired, do better than U-Sing.
- A battle mode online is good but it is useless for the quality of French songs available.
- We’re tired of English songs and songs shabby for France. It is a shame for the French culture.
- The French musical culture is offended by your proposals pathetic.
- Do not miss the French market, are reactive instead of being passive.
- The French are not cash cows!.
- Singstar looks like a democracy where one has the impression that everyone is listening. But this is only apparent because Singstar is a dictatorship where Mr. London Studio does what he wants.
- We are proud to be French, we have a real culture that boils down to something other than what you propose. Shame on you!

It’s awesome to see more and more people popping up with interest in a Singstar Glee type thing or Musicals etc.

I love how more and more people are getting on board with this idea, maybe with enough interest might get a ball rolling?! (Wishful thinking on my part lol)

As with all the French protesting, you just seem to complain every week and I’m sorry, THATS MY JOB! (Just kidding! <3 Nina and majorly <3 this week!!!)

And Kyonkichikun I totally agree with you, I'd love to see some Michelle Branch songs on the store, especially Goodbye to you! I <3 that song (HUGE Buffy fan so…)

but the only title you are abble to give to french people is only some ever on BR’s disc, there is no news song
Don’t tell us that London studio have less money than U-SING producer,
There are news and they can offer to wii’s player 2 karaoke with a lot of french’s song never see on singstar !
vanessa paradis, alain bashung, george brassens and now a special Johnny haliday, sorry but when we see that, we can’t beleive you when you told us that it’s very difficult to have french’song !!
Maybe london studio ask too more for obtain the licence of the french’s song.
Again this new update, you can ONLY offer us Gregoire that’s ever available on the hits 2 !!! Do something for french’s people for the next update !!!!

Alright, it’s obvious that countries like AE, AU, GB, IE, NZ get their updates quite often, but what with rest of the world wheres Poland for example. You realy should think about SS fans in PL. My parties wouldn’t be the same if there was no SingStar. So maybe it’s time for some polish songs.

What is with all the assaults? You should consider yourself lucky! You have french songs on the store. They might not be A class but you have some. There are other languages that dont have any songs. And other languages like mine(Greek) that most propably will never get songs on the store! France was never left out of competition either! Greece was left out from every single one of them!( I wanted to participate in the Beta but Greece wasnt on the list…I sent my info though )

So stop demanding and yelling, and ask politely! We all nag from time to time, but what you are doing is not nice at all!

Lady Gaga with Rap Scoring? [DELETED]. Rap scoring off doesnt even score properly…So please either fix rap scoring off so it works, fix rap scoring so it actually works or leave it out altogether but stop ruining stuff with this useless Rap scoring feature!

On a totally different note, I’d love to know why the official singstar page doesn’t get updated for ages.

Some hours later, songs are still locked. It’s great to make an update, but the goal is to let us buy them…

philipathens, you can’t understand, we have done a club in france with some people about singstar, we’re sending a list of music (french and internationnal) each month to moderator, maybe nina, and always the same thing when we’re asking, “it’s difficult to have licence of french song, so stop asking” ansd why we’re are ungry, because we’re doing a lot of publicity of this game, and there is any result of our work !!!! and i will add that there is two game on WII that’s just coming and the give to player some artist that london always said it’s difficult. the producer of this game are news, so french people WOULD like know why london can’t get some.
So we all the work we giving, the only thanks we’re having is “stop asking and don’t ask again”, it’s very frusted !!!!!
and for finish, we have asking very polity a lot of time.
In add some people of the club with more than 500 song of store haven’t got a key of the beta, but some people with less 50 song of singstore have some….it’s very frusted for them !!!!
SO FRENCH PEOPLE ARE HUNGRY WITH SINGSTAR, and it’s normal we think !!!!

quand le singstore est surchargé (trop de monde), les chansons sont bloquées car trop solicitées. Il faut patienter que ça se calme un peu. Retourne dans le singstore pendant les périodes creuses, tu verras ça marchera! Bonne soirée!

We are not on dope !!! 290 millions people in the world speak french.Ask for Greek songs i’ll be happy for you all. i buy many english or italian songs on the singstore .yes there some french songs but not so much around 120 and most of theme are realy second class one.

Le fait est que depuis que la mise à jour est en ligne, toutes les 17 nouveautés sont cadenassées. Il est 1:28 du matin, tu vas pas me dire qu’il est surchargé encore là ? ^^ Pourtant tout est cadenassé ^^

I still can’t access the new songs, they are still all locked I can access all the other songs, but not the 17 new ones

Bought both Lady Gaga songs, Rihanna, Crystal Castles and Dido yesterday!
So happy with this week!

Again, would love Glee on there, and to complete old 70/80′s classics such as Queen, Get Electric Light Orchestra!!! PLEASE, would be amazing with harmonies and so just like Queen Bohemian Rhapsody!!!

And last, a question, how come all the songs that have been released on discs are not available in the store? Like, Dido was on the first or second Singstar disc to ever be made, but hasn’t shown up in the store until yesterday. How come?

The French do not want to update with lots of French songs. He just want good French music. They are tired of the pathetic titles offered to them. As well, when they’re good titles, they are already on a disk Singstar. There may be less than 5 French songs every month, but only if it is of great French songs. For the moment, the SingStore is an affront to French culture! We do not want more French songs, we just want the best French songs. And if it is not possible on the SingStore so get them on a disc. And if it is not possible on a PS3 disc, so get them on a PS2 disc. Thank you. Good day

@comment no. 12 just download it from the US singstore.. use a virtual credit card such as entro pay its very good but you need to either REALLY like the song, or find at least 5 you want to download or you will be paying over the odds…

I apologize for asking a question regarding the US store but the US blog is not as informative as this one. Is there any way you could explain the disparity between the US and European singstore?

What is the holdup in releasing songs here? the artist? record label? someone not thinking it will sell the same?

I’d like to use Pink for example. Most of her songs are available except for one. What kept that song from being released in the US store? I’m not sure if you can answer that, but I would really appreciate it if you could.

Thank You and keep up the good work. This is still the only game my whole family plays together. From ages 4-32. We love it, just wish we could get more songs. I know there are ways to get songs off the EU store but I don’t want to go that route just yet.
