So PlayStation.Blog has been around for a little while now. We’ve got into a routine and, I hope you’ll agree, we’re bringing you some great content on a daily basis. Despite that, we’re not resting on our laurels. We want to be bigger and better, by creating more of the content you want and by utilising our other channels, such as Twitter and Facebook more. We need your help to make this happen.
Don’t worry, it’s nothing too strenuous. We just want you, our loyal fans and readers, to tell us a little bit about yourselves and about the sort of content you like seeing and wish you could see more of. Even if this is your first time on the Blog (in which case, welcome!), we’d love for you to participate.
There are no difficult questions — we don’t want to know your income, marital status or performance at school. In fact, you won’t be asked any personal questions — not even your PSN ID or email address. This is your opportunity to anonymously help us expand in the direction that you want us to.
It shouldn’t take very long, at the very most, so we’d be really grateful if you could spare the time to help us out. Just click here and away you go.
Thanks very much in advance! We love you!

I went in, submitted my age, ended the survey… That was short. I have a feeling that wasn’t the WHOLE thing. Am I right?
Posted on 21 April, 2010 at 1:36 pm by Jem Alexander
We’re legally not allowed to survey people under the age of 15, so the survey will lock you out if you selected this age rating. Sorry about that!

Your prize is that warm, fuzzy glow that comes with doing a good deed. Plus, karma points!

Finished the survey, received 1000 karma points whatever they are, can my karma points be exchanged for PSN store credit?
Posted on 21 April, 2010 at 1:51 pm by Jem Alexander
Sadly not, but it does make you a Better Person™

You know what would be nice? If you guys tell us what will be done/changed based on the survey results. Public are always asked to do these things and we never know/see the results.
Posted on 21 April, 2010 at 1:48 pm by Jem Alexander
Hopefully the results will be self evident as we generate more content that interests you.

All done… Can I ask why you guys are doing it for?
Posted on 21 April, 2010 at 1:46 pm by Jem Alexander
To guage interest in various aspects of the Blog and, most importantly, to see what you guys want to see more of in the future.

There wasn’t a box at the end to leave “Any other comments” so I’ll leave them here.
The question about how you access the blog (PS3/PSP/PC) was the best joke I’ve heard in ages.
The blog will not load via the PSPs browser. You need to make a lite version for the PSP. The lack of a “Notify us” email address/button only exacerbates the problem.
Whilst the blog is viewable on the PS3, I am unable to post comments via it.
The fact that Sony’s own website isn’t viewable on its own devices is a just bonkers.
ps
Some of the spelling and grammar in the questionnaire was wrong.

Unfortunately I had to choose “other” for country as you failed to include The Netherlands. Sure, you put Holland in the list, but that’s not the name of the country. Next time do it right, or put in Wales, Scotland and England separately also.

Jem, can you assure me that my comments above about the Blog not working on the PSP browser and the PS3 not allowing comment posts will be passed on to someone who can fix it?

Posted on 21 April, 2010 at 2:02 pm by wardragon989
Meh this “survey” is very one sided. I mean its basically something to look pretty or a face.
(erm what i mean is that the view of survey is one sided, no critism, no discussion, only one viewpoint)

I had to answer “Sometimes, depending on the prize” to the contest participation but not because I’m picky about the rewards but mostly because the contest is either something I’m not good at or, usually, one of many the contests Sweden is excluded from. =P
Other than that it was an interesting survey. ;3

Done the survey.
Unfortunately there was no section to add a comment at the end of the survey.

What we really need is a SCEE version of PS Blog share… assuming you’d do something with the suggestions.
Survey was slightly lame… not much open ended feedback asked for.
And where was the Classic… here is a list of things we could improve… if we could only do ONE, which would you ask us to do? That can really help to sort the wheat from the chaff – especially as you are doing a self selecting survey and hence the most engaged people are those most likely to reply (and are hence biased to rate everything as important / good).

I would like to see “PSN by the numbers”, a weekly post that ranks the most played games online, most downloaded Store items and so on. I think that crap is interesting

No comment section in the survey, so here a few lines:
Stop treating SCEE users as second-rate customers compared to SCEA and SCEJ.
People are getting VERY tired of delayed releases of HW and SW, later updates (PSN Store), missing content (Home), etc.
And most importantly: Stop using “localization” as the excuse for the delays – Or at least release the English content simultaneously worldwide.

Survey done, hope it helps.
Quick comment: agree with most of the posters, def 30, 28 and 27. Would really like a light browser option for mobile devices, also as much notification of the weekly psn release schedule would be nice.

Something I’d like to see is upcoming releases – not necessarily as a weekly blog post but something on the right hand side under ‘categories + archives’, maybe tabbed by PS3/PSP.
@imajinetion
I agree, stats would be good too

done.
one suggestion: i find the ps blog very useful, it would be cool to have it on the ps3 as an app (maybe not a glorified web page) so that everyone with a ps3 and an internet connection would be able to experience it.

@41
I’m using PS3 now for this.vids dont work, but if on PS3 I use this for Eu blog
http://www.viddler.com/explore/PSBlogEU/
An US blog
http://www.viddler.com/explore/sceablog/
But having the vids without using those pages would be better, but I think the browser needs a re-make.

Posted on 21 April, 2010 at 3:09 pm by LordCartman
The only comment I have specifically about the EU PS blog is that it would be handy if there was a mobile version (such as http://blog.eu.playstation.com/mobile/) which is not so graphically intensive, as some of the larger pics take a long time to download.
Actually, while you’re at it a mobile version of all the PS3 sites would be nice. It would be handy to check forum posts, see the latest on the MAG site, etc.

I strongly agree I actively play games to unlock trophies so I’ve given myself an imaginary trophy for completing the survey. It was a gold trophy called “Completed the PlayStation.Blog survey” and has bumped my trophy level from Level 10 to Level 11.
