Hi Everyone!
Today we’re super pumped to announce that our first PSP Mini, ‘Monsters (Probably) Stole My Princess!’ is now live on the PSN store!
The game is available on both PS3 and PSP worldwide for the price of £3.49 / €3.99 – so you can head to the store and grab it today!
For those who aren’t familiar with the game, here’s a short summary:
Monsters have (Probably) Stolen Your Princess! Those fiendish and misshapen fools have (as far as we know) made off with your true love – and they haven’t even had the good grace to leave a shred of evidence to follow. Only sweeping accusations and devastating style can save her from the fate she will (possibly) face now!
Available exclusively from the PSN store, MPSMP comes with a full story mode, 6 unique stages, awesome animated cutscenes and an incredible soundtrack the Duke himself would approve of. With 24 levels of monster pounding justice, this is (probably) the best deal ever.
Check out the trailer to see the game in action:
Thanks for all the great feedback and support we’ve had – we’ve had an awesome time making the game. We’ve written a bit more about it on our blog here. [LINK TO BLOG TO COME]
Be sure to let us know your best level scores – can anyone beat 2,300 on the first story mode level?
For more information on the making of the game check out this blog post on our website or follow Mediatonic on Facebook / Twitter.

I shall be buying this great work guys!!I do wish tho we could get online leaderboards for the minis when used on a PS3 or even a psp connected to the web.It would add so much more longetivity(possible typo) to all these games.

Online leaderboards is a feature we would love for this game. If Sony allow this in the future we’ll do a game update to include it.

Finally a minis game with decent graphics. Alot of minis games is terrible to look at because the developers but little effort into making the style of the game.

I would love an HD game using this art style. Any chances for that?

It’s probably the way you progress upwards rather than side scrolling, but something about this game kinda reminds me of Rainbow Islands.
Ahhh I feel old!

Sorry, make that 2382, I just realised the story and non-story levels are different! 2382 on story and 2485 on the non-story

Loving the humour though: “This slimy fiend has devoured a thousand innocent princesses! (for all I know.)”
Classic
Great work guys, truly. Whens the sequel???

You deleted my post… why didnt you just comment back?
I said:
You can only jump in this game. nothing else.
Do you really call this a game?
even pacman is better…

Hey FGras – not sure why the post was deleted, it wasnt me :s
Jumping is indeed the only action in the game! Our aim was to create a really pure gaming experience with lots of added value.
As it’s a minis game we wanted something that players could get into immediately and pick up & play in short sessions on the go but packed full of extra bits and pieces.

You need to get good scores on story mode levels 1 – 5.
World 6 is by far my favourite

Sooo.. why were my comments deleted? I link to a favorable review and there’s something wrong with that?
If we post something that we’re not allowed to, at least tell us about it, instead of just deleting stuff. Now we don’t know exactly why they were deleted, so we’ve learned absolutely nothing.

I’m not sure, this wasnt me either :s
I saw your review though – thanks for the positive feedback

To people complaining about deleting comments, there was another blog entry earlier in the day by someone else.
And I’m just downloading this now, like a bunch of you’e online/iPhone games. MediaTonic was talked a lot about by lecturers at University for both the interaction and design aspects, and I like your style and pretty much all games you’ve made.

The game is really good – normally I’m not motivated by scores or medals, but the scrapbook entries are very nice rewards for doing well. This is one of the best minis for sure.
I’m going to check the game out on my PS3 now…

Really fantastic job on the games guys
Really enjoying it so far. Simple gameplay but you totally nailed that and made something that is very addictive! The presentation is really well done to, it’s a beautiful looking little game.
Keep up the great work

I finished Story Mode in about 7 minutes – quite short… But game is interesting. I like to see not only Score Attack, but too Time Attack – measure time until I beat monster in level…

Thanks for all the great feedback everyone!
Time Attack mode is a great idea
At the moment we’ve got no definite plans for MPSMP 2 – if this version does well we will certainly give it some serious thought.
Our next PSP mini is another brand new title, look out for more news in a few months time

I bought this game last night and I am loving it. Only got a chance to play it this morning on the train and I almost missed my spot whilst playing it, great game. Looking forward to your next mini game.
