ModNation Racers PSP: Final Polish and Detailing in Track Studio

Countries: , , , ,

Welcome back to our ModNation Racers PSP Track Studio walkthrough! Today’s blog post brings us to the final installment of our tour of the Track Studio — Seaside Theme. Be sure to check out my previous post, where I created, painted and sculpted the track here. Or where I added a bunch of obstacles and dropped in Theme-based buildings here.

Here’s where we left off: I have the terrain sculpted and painted, I have my ocean setting all lined up and got the track obstacles placed and modified their Dynamic Options. Now all that’s left for me is to put the final layer of polish on this track. I want to give it that certain something that will help it stand out amongst the crowd of other great user-generated content. I’ve seen some of the creations that people have been able to make using the Track Studio tools, so I’ll need every advantage possible if I want to make the top five weekly downloads!

One of the things I like to do with a track is use the theme-based trees and plants to give it a unique feel. This being the Seaside Theme, I have the option of using some palm trees, rocky outcroppings and a bunch of different plants and bushes.

Championship Manager 2010 Comes To Minis

Countries: , , , ,

Hey,

Nice to meet you all, my name’s Tim Hodges and I’m the Brand Manager here at Championship Manager.

It’s great to have this opportunity to tell that you that Championship Manager 2010 is coming to minis on PSP and PS3 very soon.

Championship Manager

For those of you that aren’t familiar with Championship Manager, or Champ Man as it’s known to its fans , it’s a football management simulator that allows you to take control of any number of teams from the UK, Europe and beyond. Controlling all aspects from player training, to transfers, squad selection, match day tactics and more, Champ Man 2010 is your chance to prove all your talk down the pub and from the terraces isn’t just hot air.

Championship Manager

In this updated version for minis players will be able to manage on the move, with teams from England, France and Italy. Players can look forward to comparing themselves to the managerial greats from around the world to see if you have what it takes to manage your team to success whilst keeping the fans, press, board and players happy. It’s a tough job, can you do it?

We’ve been working closely with Dynamo Games to bring Championship Manager 2010 to minis, ensuring that the game has different features to that of the PC game giving players a taste of something different but it’s still the Championship Manager that players know and love. In fact they wanted me to pass on the following to you guys, “We’re very excited about Championship Manager 2010 for the PSP. It’s been a long time coming, but the trials, tribulations, late nights and pizza’s have been well worth it! We hope you enjoy playing the game as much as we have creating it.” Who said games don’t encourage a healthy diet hey?

Keep checking back as we’ll be coming back with more updates as we get closer to release including an exclusive video, as well as release date and pricing.

VIDZONE UPDATE: Is That a TV in Your Pocket or…

Countries: , , , ,

…are you just pleased to see me? I’ll explain in a minute. Before that I want to say that we have a great update for you this week… I think better than usual… if that was possible. We have Chipmunk, Perez Hilton, Craig David, Akala and you guessed it… lots more!

Right…Sony Ericsson’s Pocket TV (told you I would get round to it) has given us some brilliant interviews showing guests in a new light and putting their sense of humour to the test. The first week of its 2nd series doesn’t disappoint, with N-Dubz on the Pocket TV lie detector, Gabriella Cilmi chilling with presenter Matt Edmondson (spot the terrible pun!) and this week’s UK number 1, Scouting For Girls. There will be new exclusive interviews every week so stayed tuned!

Now… To the rest of this week’s beautiful update.

Digital Comics Store Update (15th April 2010)

Countries: , , , ,

Hello everyone. Ever dreamt of being a super hero? Do you find the lure of spandex simply too difficult
to resist? Looking for some kick-ass? If so, we have a treat in store for you this week.

Digital Comics

Dave Lizewski has had better days. When he first pulled on the Super Hero suit, it was the thrill of a lifetime. Since then, he’s been banged-up, beaten, broken, bludgeoned, and all sorts of other b-words. He’s met a 9-year-old assassin and been on a super hero team-up. He’s watched people die and seen himself become an internet celebrity. Now a major motion picture, Kick-Ass is set in a world very similar to ours, where superheroes only exist in comic books, movies and (of course) the PSP System. From the Wolverine: Enemy of the State dream team of Mark Millar (Civil War) and John Romita Jr (Amazing Spider-Man, World War Hulk), 8 foul-mouthed issues of Kick-Ass arrive on the Digital Comics store today.

Miss out and you’re an idiot, as they say.

Other highlights this week include the fourth and final episode of Insomnia’s majestic Burke & Hare, another Vampire Hunter D from Digital Manga Publishing, and the long-awaited follow-up to Sláine: Book of Invasions from 2000AD, which sees the once High King of Ireland driving back bothersome demons to avoid a price too terrible to comprehend…

If all of this seems a little too much for all you sensitive souls out there, there’s more Wallace & Gromit, more Disney, and The One Where Archie Marries Veronica. Aaaaaah.

Here’s the full list:

  • Kick-Ass (2008) #1-#8 - Icon 18+
  • The Amazing Spider-Man (2003) #556-#560 - Marvel 9+

As always you can check out the pricing in your currency on PlayStationComics.com. Also, while you’re there, check out the forum. We’ll soon be offering you the chance to get your questions answered by the team and offer your suggestions on how we can improve the Digital Comics experience, so keep your eyes peeled. Yes, even YOU could be a superhero.

‘Heads-Up’ PlayStation Store Update (15th April 2010)

Countries: , , , ,

Good day to you there, how are you this week? Well I hope.

I just want to remind you all that our PSP Favourites promotion will be ending today, so you don’t have that much longer to take advantage of those crazy prices, just a mere matter of hours in fact. Speaking of which, if you have an eye on bargains, then please step over to the stall and check out the latest batch of Special Offers with Gravity Crash, Prince of Persia Classic and James Cameron’s Avatar:The Game amongst the shiny wares I have for you :) .

I’m sure most of you are aware that this week we finally get the much anticipated episodes for Grand Theft Auto IV, The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony onto the store…exciting, I’m sure you’ll agree (they will be available on Friday morning not the usual Thursday publish).

Also, the first episode for the new Sam and Max game The Devil’s Playground is available for those who pre-ordered. If you didn’t pre-order don’t worry though, as you can download the trial, and then buy the full season entitlement if you’d like to continue their adventures (the full season entitlement will also still be available on the store separately from the trial too).

Finally, because I am such a massive fan of System of a Down, and their brilliant frontman Serj Tankian, I have to mention that there are Two Rock Band tracks available from Mr. Tankian’s incredible solo album. I urge you Rock Banders out there to get downloading these awesome tracks, and if you don’t like them, then there’s no accounting for taste is there? I jest, I jest.

To finish, some housekeeping: please be advised the store management team is not actually in the office today or tomorrow, so I won’t be around to respond to your comments. Therefore please don’t be offended by my silence, this is just because I am not here, not because I am ignoring you.

Enjoy your week, and have a great weekend!
