Hi again – hope you’ve all had a nice bank-holiday week-end. If you are wondering why you are reading this post a day early this week… It’s because we are now updating the comic store every Wednesday, so look out for us on comic day! It makes sense, doesn’t it.
This week is a good week for Spider-Man fans. The Amazing Spider-Man (2003) series continues, and Mr Parker’s paparazzi hobby causes him some trouble again… Comes with dangerous paper dolls and red-head guest stars.
We also have more Star Trek and Transformers comics for you. Star Trek: Captain’s Log is a brand-new series following some of our favourite Starfleet Captains. This week, Captain Hikaru Sulu’s in the spotlight – which he unfortunately shares with the Tholians. You can also pick-up issue #1 of Transformers: Last Stand of the Wreckers, if you want to see what the Autobots special ops crew is up to.
Tribal politics are on the menu in Kong: King of Skull Island #3. Kong gets captured, and I’ll give you a hint: he’s not pleased. Should you want to get more insight into Kong’s eventful story, check out issue #0 – it’s free.
And finally, something for everyone to enjoy… Buzz Lightyear and Woody make their debut in the comic store with our first Toy Story comic! It’s old vs. new in this tale of jealousy and toy war. If you like it, you can also pick up the Toy Story 2 comic, out this week as well.

Um, Locke & Key.
Last new one was two weeks ago and we don’t have the last installment of Crown of Shadows.
Are IDW holding out, or is there some other problem?

Awesome, more Sonic and Vampire Hunter!!!
Is there any word on getting any manga publishers on board like Tokyopop, Tanoshimi etc….etc?????
Posted on 5 May, 2010 at 2:42 pm by Pauline Martyn
We do want more manga in the store, so we’re working on this right now – if there’s anything in particular you want to see on PSN let us know!

Probably just 2000AD for me this week, unless I find something else of interest. Really starting to miss Locke & Key. Any idea when we’ll see more Eternal Descent? I enjoyed the first issue and I’d like to see what happens next.
Posted on 5 May, 2010 at 4:11 pm by Pauline Martyn
I’m not sure but I have asked – hopefully I’ll have more info soon.

Cool stuff.
It would be great to see some Tokyopop manga on the store like Battle Royale, Rave Master, Jing King of Bandits so on and so forth.
Tokyopop have a massive selection of manga at their disposal since as far as i know they are the biggest publisher in the EU (anyone feel free to correct me if i’m wrong).
Many thanks

Thank you for the suggestions.
Tokyopop are huge, and they have great content too…

Posted on 5 May, 2010 at 4:13 pm by Pauline Martyn
Not just yet I’m afraid – no Carl Barks either.
I hope we will by the time you can raid the PSN comic store.

Thanks for the reply Pauline.
Having checked the discussions last week and doing some research on Wikipedia, I see that we have indeed caught up with the print editions of Locke & Key.
I guees I’ll just have to deal with the monthly releases instead of weekly!
Still expecting the £50 notes and clotted cream to come with issue #6 though…
Posted on 5 May, 2010 at 4:17 pm by Pauline Martyn
You’re welcome! IDW are really committed to releasing digital comics as close to the print date as they can, which is great. Now I just wish the creators made them faster.
(and gave us readers clotted cream?)

Can we get some more of the The Runaways please?
Posted on 5 May, 2010 at 4:18 pm by Pauline Martyn
We don’t have any planned in the near future, but I’ll see if we can change that.

i had hoped the comic store would be different, but alas, no.
we’re going to be missing out on content on the comic store too just because we don’t live in the us.
they can get 2000ad but we have to miss out? where’s the justice in that?
being diplomatic i’ll say i’m very dissapointed.
anyway, another issue of sonic and another issue of tf for me, so it’s not all bad.
Posted on 5 May, 2010 at 4:24 pm by Pauline Martyn
Why? Digital rights. Out of our control I’m afraid. It can also be a tough one for publishers, who may not own all the rights themselves.
On the plus side about 1340 of our comics are not affected by this.

old record mode
why is it possible to buy in the end of my street every comic within 5 days after its release on the other side of the world.
but sony is refusing the main countries of the EU to give the digital service.
i didn’t know my money stank?
ps the UK is not a part of the EU,since they don’t pay with Euro’s anyway
i wonder why the 2 competitors of sony can constantly release things within days worldwide and sony has to plan years????
Bad management maybe.
i heard Phil harrison (whom latest words 2 sony were, the EU is the biggest important region in the world), is looking for a job again

Are the X-Men comics going to make a return soon?
Just when I got into them you stop them.
Posted on 5 May, 2010 at 4:27 pm by Pauline Martyn
Depends which X-Men series you prefer – do you like New X-Men? If so, they are coming.
If not, send over some suggestions and we’ll work on them.

Really enjoying Ritual, The Ghoul, Zombies Vs Robots. Pretty much any macarbe, b-movie pulp is good. Thanks’.
Posted on 5 May, 2010 at 4:29 pm by Pauline Martyn
I completely agree!
I recommend Dead, She Said (very pulp) and Wormwood: Gentleman Corpse then, if you haven’t tried them yet. I like these one for those same reasons.

keep the Free issues coming for us skint people, lol.
ahh to have money, must be fun. If PSN allowed me to put want I want in and not 5 quid min I’d be able to buy a couple.
Posted on 5 May, 2010 at 4:32 pm by Pauline Martyn
We have 17 free comics you can grab, if that’s any consolation.

awww, WICKED! XD
Hopefully we have Sly Cooper Comicz as well in da PSP’z comicz store, and hopefully we’d be able 2 use em on the ps3 in a future update (hopefully soon 8P)
oh yh, errm, WHY DON’T SONY JUST ADD AN E-READER FUNCTIONALITY TO THE PSP AND A FRENZ LIST?!?! XO
Coz, it can read comicz, so why not bookz? 81
Btw, the PSP is a LOT MORE boring without a frenz list, if it did hav one, believe me sony, you’ll get your sales doublin day-by-day, especially in JAPAN! XD

I meant the classic X-Men.
They stopped roughly at….issue 25 I think. I’ll give new X-Men a go though.

+1 vote for a comic store in Belgium with at least identical content to the UK one (language et al)

When will be Comic app updated? I still cannot delete readed strips from psp and I don’t want to buy new memory stick, either.
It’s basic funcionality, why is it not implemented?

If you conect your PSP to the PC, use the Media go application and you can delete comics thru it. just select the comic tab under the PSPs name, there you can delete them,
