We’re bringing you a brand new minis experience this Thursday, with the latest PlayStation Home event. Make your way to the top level of the brand new “The Observatory” space, where you can challenge a friend to a duel of memory, wits and a little luck. Enter into a minis duel, competing over a board consisting of a grid of glowing, face-down tiles. Flip the tiles over to reveal a variety of minis titles; reveal two matching tiles to score a point. Sounds simple? The fun starts with random tiles hiding bonuses or traps, such as a tile that steals points from your opponent. You can even hide traps of your own, hoping to catch out your opponent. Beware, though: they may shuffle the board and your own trap could catch you out!
In true minis fashion this simple concept is fiendishly addictive, so don’t forget to drag yourself away to explore the rest of The Observatory. The futuristic pool-like game FreezeBall returns exclusively to the minis event space. Browse the latest minis titles, available for purchase and download for PS3 and PSP. Winners of the minis duel will be rewarded with a minis neon light for their personal space. This is an event not to be missed!
More of the very popular LucasArts content arrives this week! We’ve got more Star Wars, as well as a delightful selection of Indiana Jones costumes and furniture items. Kicking off the Star Wars list is the fantastic Obi-Wan costume, consisting of Tunic and Armour, Hair, Beard and Gloves (also available as a bundle). For your personal space there will be three posters – Rex, Anakin, and Yoda – for your walls, along with three Clone Helmets on display stands. To top it all off there’s a Homing Spider Droid prop and AT-ST statue!
Moving on to Indiana Jones, there’s a veritable treasure trove of costumes and items coming tomorrow! There’s the iconic Indiana Jones costume with Fedora, along with Young Indiana Jones. You’ll also find costumes for Mutt Williams, Dovchenko, Mola Ram and Henry Jones Sr. For your walls there’s a framed Whip, while for fans of Raiders of the Lost Ark you’ll find Staff of Rah, Ark of the Covenant, and Fertility Idol ornaments. Finishing the list is the Crystal Skull ornament.
Finally for this week, we’re releasing a selection of clothing items for Assassin’s Creed fans. This range includes t-shirts and caps and can be found in Threads, for both male and female.

The hovercraft will be released when they’re ready to be released. At the moment they are still being worked on, so you’ll need to be patient for a while longer.

For Irem, we’re on the final stretch last I saw. That could mean next week, or it could mean next month or the month after depending on QA etc.
At the moment, I genuinely do not know what will definitely be in each update until the day before. Which makes writing the blog very difficult at times!

I think number 6 is on about like SCEAsia have where there is a space for each region only, so its easy to meet people from same region (eg only HK users can access the HK one). Its the part of the events space being used for the new minis event they use for it.

The space is known as the ‘Gamers Lounge’ It’s where some people from gaming companies do Q&A’s. Recently SCEA updated their Gamers Lounge. It’s primary use is a place where people get together and host community events.

LucasArts own the Indiana Jones IP, and as such it is their choice as to what they make available for us. Over recent weeks they have released some female content, it just happens that this week the costumes are all male.

About the hovercrafts, why did you annouce them so early if they were months (probobly years) away? This wait has only annoyed people
Plus will the games in these new spaces have the que feature? Because im guessing this is another one of those things where only one person in the space can play at once and there will be a 30 min wait until you have to hammer x to play.
Seems like a good update though, so good job there
but i think Home still needs massivly expanding for people to load it up more often.

Honestly: because at the time they were announced it was thought they’d be out a lot sooner. Sometimes with software development you encounter unexpected problems with new features that delay their release. The Hovercraft (and Shrinking Potions) bring new functionality to Home, and getting this functionality working properly before they get released is a high priority.

I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve passed along that you all want more female clothing. We’re close to having space in our schedule for working through Lockwood’s back catalogue, Irem is coming, and I’ve seen early work on some new female clothing that looks amazing.

I have no opinion on whether women should have more outfits (personally, I believe the more content anybody gets the better), but ask yourselves this: why the heck are you asking Sony?
Sony doesn’t make any content any more. You wanna petition the people that actually commission these costumes. The games companies, who’s biggest market is the male market (of the age range 16-24). Ask them to buck their ideas, because Sony certainly won’t do anything about it.
That said…ooh, new space
. Oh wait, nobody cares about the new space, because women got shafted again.

One of the biggest games of the year is out tommorrow and SCEE simply cant even tell what Home has in store for it?
(EU vers anyway)
This is why a HUGE ammount of gamers dont bother with home simply because Home isnt consistabt with what its trying to achieve.
Home unlocks

Purchased items
All of which, we should all lucky and privileged that they EVEN work at times?!
I feel that unlike the announement of trophies those few years ago, Home just isnt taken seriously.. i would say anymore but its never have.
One thing on Home that desperately needs sorting is “chat”. There needs to be a more direct way of one person chatting to another with both people actually aware that there both speaking to eachother. Such as a “so-an-so says blahblahblah to so-an-so” because the way it stands its pretty annoying speaking in a group of people.

I’m also glad that at last you have some time that you;re able to allocate to going through Lockwood’s back catalogue and of course I’m very excited to know that Irem is almost at the door!:)
You’ve REALLY got me interested in the new female clothing that’s being worked on at the moment too!
All in all your reply has cheered me up enormously!
I will certainly take my place amongst the many females excitedly camped out by the front door ( after having rolled out the red carpet of course!), waiting for these hotly anticipated female items to finally make their Grand Entrance into Home!:P

Hovercrafts… that reminds me, i built a course complete with ramps in one of my apartments back when the hovercrafts were…imminent…. and it’s still there , waiting for that day

1 is the shrinking potion for a alice and wonderland space on ps3 home or can it be used anywhere in any space to look for hidden mini spaces

i forgot to add why dont u add a home user counter to spaces and track how many people use them spaces each month like the far cry 2 space and everybody golf one int got loads of ppl in them no more why dont you get rid of the spaces where only 1 or 2 ppl are in and replace them with better spaces btw i cant wait for

4 new playground
i been on home since xmas 2008 and home is gettin way better i hope we get spaces soon such as a haunted house with a scary ride we need things like that
