Hello everyone,
FirstPlay episode 8 is on the Store from Wednesday, and there’s never been a better time to subscribe. This week we’re giving away the addictive arcade minis title Blast Off, and there are two more minis titles to follow in the next two eps. We’ve also got demos, themes and avatars on the way very soon, all of which you’ll get for free if you buy a 90 day subscription for just £8.99.
As for the videos, this week we start with a HD review of the sun-kissed arcade racer Split/Second: Velocity, which is mostly about blowing things up and looking pretty and therefore pretty amazing. On top of that we’ve got a preview of Codies’ International Cricket 2010 (yes we have been replaying that Australia/England World Cup final over and over) and a review of thunderous bike racer SBK X.
Dig deeper and you’ll find Network Highlights, this week featuring a guide to God Of War III’s challenge rooms, and our screenshot galleries, including the latest on Castlevania: Lord Of Shadows and Saw 2. Dig even deeper and you’ll find where we hid all the bodies. Probably best stop digging after the screenshots.

I may just be misreading your wording but; are you saying the demos, themes and avatars are only available if you take out the £8.99 subscription? Or will they still be available if you buy each individual episode?

@KC-alpha-14 Looks like Crysis 2. Look down the bottom right you can see a Health bar a Nano Suit Bar(For powers like super speed, super strength, stealth, ect)

No, no sub required. It’s just a heads up that we’ll have some ace content over the next few weeks, so a subscription now would represent pretty awesome value for money.

What a rip off, where’s my free ps1 classics, can’t you get us the stimulus map pack or something. can’t believe i pay…. oh really, is that all it costs. My bad.

i’d totally get this one if i had a working ps3, anybody know how long these things stay on the store?
it would be better if i could pay for the episode and the extra dlc was automatically added to my account so i could download and play the mini on my psp.

We’re on the Store for 6 weeks per episode. And, to the comment below – they can be transferred to PSP, but only via PS3.

HazelAM – I just ordered a PSP – are you saying that Mini’s coming via FirstPlay cannot be transferred to PSPs ?? I hope not …

anyone wondering about minis and the psp read this
when you run first play and go to download the mini (or anything else for that matter) you get bounced out to the playstation store, you can then download whatever it is from there, once you download it or even start then cancel the download, the item is on your PSN downloads list and can be accessed via PS3 and PSP, i downloaded echos directly to my PSP at the same time it was downloading to my PS3 
so i can confirm from first hand experience this works – enjoy!
