Hi everyone!
Today we’re proud to present the first gameplay trailer for Killzone 3. What you are about to see is a trailer made completely out of in-game footage, taken from the game’s fourth mission, called Frozen Shores.
Killzone 3 will take you to dangerous new corners of the Helghast home planet, and reveal that its environments are far more diverse than ISA Command had previously believed. In addition to the larger and more varied environments, Killzone 3 also introduces a brutal melee system and plenty of awesome new battle gear, including the Helghast jetpack and the WASP missile launcher demonstrated in the trailer.

Thety are suppsosed to be heavy, they immerse you into the game more, and we don’t want this to be like MW2.

Well it looks nice graphically, but still not my kind of thing. The first person view looks a little less fake than in most FPS games though. That’s one of the things I hate about the genre in general.

Wauw, looks great! Only weird thing is the short sleeved shirt in the middle of the snow. The first thing I would do in this environment after I killed a Hellghast, was to remove at least his coat.
Fortunately he is wearing gloves!
Give my regards to Steven ter Heide and congrats on the whole Guerrilla-team for this production!

If their was ONE problem with it it was that in 1st person watching the guy hold the guns he didn’t look like he was straining at all I would make it so he maybe couldn’t hold the big guns upright forever, it would be interesting online and make it seem more realistic! Apart from that it looked awesome!

Also, are the close combat moves random or dependant on the health of your oppononent? (low health: snap neck, full health: kick face,..)

i know it’s being developed using a tweaked version of the KZ2 engine which is at least 2 years old, but it still looks better than anything currently on PS3 imo.. that arctic sea looks incredible.

halo and resistance require nowhere near the same graphical or physics processing as this. it’s a PS3, not an unlimited supercomputer. with the 3D support, they’ll already have to render at least twice the information compared to KZ2. even 2-player split screen on KZ would be a considerable technical challenge.

I know this game isn’t going to be the biggest news on PS3 E3 announcements I’m guessing because we all know it can sell itself. Yeah I agree I hope the news is an upgraded PS3 browser… Game looks fantastic.

Oooo I bought my PS3 2 months ago and I’m excited about all these awesome games coming for PS3 now we just need Resistance 3 and we got ourselves a tres leches cake with ice cream on top
