Alright loyal VidZone Crew! After a day of sore heads from celebrating our first birthday we have been on a mission to get you a seriously good update of videos, even better than usual I think, I’m biased but… it’s true!
Over the next couple of weeks we have new videos from Lady Gaga, Eminem, Tiffany Page, Scissor Sisters and interviews with Taylor Hawkins, Sean Kingston and Kelly Rowland! We also have new playlists and TV channels including a power ballads playlist chosen by yours truly.
Also, thanks for all of you that have downloaded the Faithless concert from the store, it’s our first Pay per View event and we will hopefully be bringing many more over the coming months for your viewing pleasure. I don’t mean to sound like a music snob, but next time could we have everything that music like Lady Gaga isn’t? Updates to The Cure library went unnoticed in the latest additions because the list only included the pop music. You have Mad Season videos on there, for which I will be eternally grateful, if we could get more bands along those lines (some Soundgarden would be nice, maybe some Garbage?) I’d look forward to these updates more.

Hi.
Could you tell me if it’s just a coincidence that you don’t really have any Warner Bros. acts in Vidzone?
They don’t allow their videos to be on Vidzone or what’s going on?
I mean, acts like Madonna, Muse, etc…don’t have any videos on Vidzone and they belong to Warner Bros. And if any Warner Bros acts that have videos on Vidzone it’s the ones they did when they weren’t with them, lol…so what’s going on?
I mean, Madonna is the queen of pop and has many awesome videos…even if i’m not a fan of hers, i do like many of her videos, and i do miss some of them on Vidzone

Yeah… Well spotted. We don’t have a deal with Warner as yet but we are in constant negotiation with them.
Hopefully we there will be announcement soon but until that time there is enough quality videos to be getting on with.

Question about the download option.
With lotsa videos i play .. i always try to click the download button, but i get a msg saying downloads for this video not available and to check back later.
Is there a list of stuff we can download ? Or do i just have to keep clicking every video i play ?

Our download function is only available in the UK at the moment I’m afraid but we are looking into ways of extending this to other of our territories. Hopefully I will announce something soon.

I checked out the faithless concert link, but i saw it expires 48 hours after u watch it so i decided not to buy it.
Cant u make it so we can keep the concert? Even if it means adding 1-2 euro’s to the price?

Please keep WHEN POLANDing, it gives us evidence that a country wants the service that we can use to persuade all the parties involved to say yes. It’s very complex to set up in a new country and involves a lot of people to be agree.
And besides… what would this blog be without “When Poland?” it’s the blogs catchphrase!

Loving all the updates and well Vidzone in general!, but i’m having trouble getting used to the new layout for Vidzone the menus all seem a bit too cluttered and confusing , do you have any plans to make it easier to navigate?

Great update this week…. BUT why is the Faithless gig advertised in Vidzone when we, in Ireland, do not have the Video Store yet???? Really annoying! “Available in PS3 Video Store 17.06.2010″ – really?? no use to us is it!!
Why isnt it available to download directly from Vidzone?
Or, even better, when will Ireland get the Video Store??

Since the update my vidzone has completely stopped working. Just keep getting some “fatal error” at the very start of the prog. tried it at my cousins house. Same issue.
Gonna have to delete the whole thing and try again I guess.

Any ideas why vidzone keeps freezing and making me have to restart ps3 by the on/off button? its annoying.
