MotorStorm Apocalypse Trailer And Video Interview

Countries: , , , ,

It felt appropriate seeing MotorStorm Apocalypse in London’s Fabric nightclub. With hard dance music throbbing out of the cutting-edge sound system and a selection of journalists seated on the vibrating dance floor, we were presented with the third MotorStorm festival on PlayStation 3.

The premise this time around, Evolution Studios’ Matt Southern explains to us in this video interview, is urban off-road racing. This is not a post-apocalyptic city; you’re there during the apocalypse and every second of every race you’re bombarded with earthquakes, explosions and other environmental madness.

For sheer lunatic ambition the team at Evolution Studios are hard to beat and with MotorStorm Apocalypse they seem to have outdone themselves. Quite simply, you’re racing through a city as the world ends around you.

Moving on from E3, tomorrow’s update will be chock full of exciting new content. So much that we’ve not got the time or space to list it all in detail. The content explosion starts with the anticipated “Playground” space, and urban playground set in an environment reminiscent of Brooklyn 30 years ago. The playground contains plenty to do with a multiplayer basketball game (H-O-R-S-E), chess, rooftop lounge, and a stage perfect for letting your hair down while enjoying the original hip-hop and funk music pumping out.

Get ready to plunge down mysterious rabbit holes once again with the Digital Comics release of Disney’s “Alice in Wonderland”. Any fan of this timeless tale or the visionary work of Tim Burton won’t want to miss this, so don’t be late for the party.

Marvel’s Astonishing Tales (2009) features an assortment of, yes, astonishing stories from the Marvel Universe. The first issue features Iron Man, Wolverine, Punisher and the New Mutants along with fan-favourite creators C.B. Cebulski (X-Infernus), Jonathan Hickman (Secret Warriors), Kenneth Roquefort (check out his awe-inspiring cover art) and more.

Carol Danver’s glamorous alter-ego Ms Marvel returns with four brand new episodes which see her enlisting in the Civil War, joining forces with Simon “Wonder Man” Williams and Julia “Arachne” Carpenter to police and train heroes. Yikes.
