We had a ton of fun during our last Play MAG with Zipper event, so we’re doing it again on Friday, 16th July! This time we’ll be spending our entire session playing MAG‘s new DLC, “Interdiction”, and we’d love to see you there.
If you haven’t tried it out yet, the Interdiction expansion introduces a brand-new gametype, three new faction-neutral maps, the Heavy Improved armor set and new ribbons, medals and trophies. You can download it today from thePlayStation Store for €7.99/£6.29. It’s fun for everyone!
Here’s our Interdiction play schedule:
- Pacific: 2pm – 4pm
- Mountain: 3pm – 5pm
- Central: 4pm – 6pm
- Eastern: 5pm – 7pm
- Hawaii: 12pm (noon) – 2pm
- Alaska: 1pm – 3pm
- GMT: 9pm – 11pm
We’ll see you on the battlefield!

Do people still play this?
With better FPS like cod mw2 or bfbc2, who cares?

Elliott, with GMT shouldn’t it be BST – British Summer Time.
I’d love to play but unfortunately I’m out camping. Have fun to those who will be taking part.

Does this “blog” actually talk about anything other this third rate shooter? It has rapidly been outclassed by better titles such as Call of Duty and Battlefield Bad Company and quite frankly there are more important things people would like to know about, such as when the damn Playstation Store is going to update its extremely limited choice of PS One games.
Not that anyone will actually respond to this, as they haven’t responded to other queries along these lines.

Great stuff count me in, I’ve got work at 7:30 the next morning, so there’s plenty of time to hand out an ass-wooping.
Any chance of double xp? I think double xp should be at least once a month.
@ KAP #3 ….. I have MW2 and BFBC2, MW2 only has about 9-10 of my online hours and plays like DONKEY BALLS!!! but I recognize that the majority likes this type of gameplay, BC2 has over 60 hours of my time but needs some more proper maps and not just game mode tweaks, I’ve levelled all my characters and there’s nothing more for me to obtain. So yes, I’m one of those people who still plays MAG and have over 120 hours, I’ve vetted once already and I want to vet again to my third PMC, I’m also one of those people who still plays KZ2, U2 and Resistance 2 online.

Some of you are being a bit harsh. MAG’s a decent alternative to BC2 and MW2, and is supported by a developer that puts more focus on patching its game than milking its fanbase, unlike the other two.

@KAP, yes a lot of people still play it because it offers a different experience to MW2 and BBC2. Once you become squad leader or greater you have strategic and tactical options non-existent in those games, not to mention the huge maps and playing as part of a 128 person invading army can be a lot of fun. Personally I didn’t like MW2 or BBC2′s MP and prefer MAG.

ok first of all, how can anyone say cod is a better game than mag? i mean seriously!!?? cod is the most broken, useless pile of junk ever released.
bfbc2 is a decent game and definitely playable. but still, i’d rather play mag.
now, my problem with the new dlc is that no-one is playing it. i checked again today and my faction (sver) had 16 people in there. i’m not going to spend money on something that isn’t even usable. disappointed because i was really looking forward to something new.

i’ve only been able to play 2 matches since i bought this pack (valour).
so the only time i’ll be able to play Interdiction is if zipper are playing at the same time? oh ok
well worth the 6 quid then. /sarcasm

Zipper and Sony, you’s messed up. As tempted as I am on buying the intradiction DLC, I’m not buy it until all the bugs from the recent patch are fixed and only if theres enough players playing instead of waiting 20 minutes for a game only to get the 5.4 disconnect errors 5 minutes later. MAGs a complete mess right now and as developers, yous should be ashamed of yourselfs. I just hope the next Socom isn’t a complete mess aswel. Thanks to yous I bought a game for 50 euros that was unplayable 3 months after its release. THANK YOUS

I hate not getting a game in MAG but Zipper playing with those loyal to MAG will have been alot of fun!
