Eric Lempel, Director of PlayStation Network Operations, stated during E3 2009 that Trophy support for PlayStation Portable titles would not be implemented because of security issues (namely the potential for those with custom firmware to artificially inflate their game progress).
However, this was in June 2009, several months before the PSPgo was available & still we do not have Trophy Support for the handheld.
Coming back to @3 [remanutd5], yes, I would like to be able to use my PS3′s XrossMediaBar Friends List away from my home-based entertainment system; even the ability to send/receive messages via the PlayStation.com Profile system would be a step forward that would help integrate services & devices.

For example, there is already the ability to be able to connect remotely to a home-based PS3 console using a PSP to download a track list for a SingStar gaming party you are organising the same evening. To enhance this great feature the ability to send messages to each party guest to ask for their choices of tracks would be ideal.
Of course, you may not even know the real name (gender, age, or country of origin) of each player never mind their individual e-mail or telephone contact details so the XrossMediaBar messaging system may be your only way of contacting each party member. Not having access to this away from your PlayStation Network log-in on a PS3 limits the service.
Finally, “Remote Play” is a feature that works well if combined with “Play TV” (assuming a subscription to PlayStation Plus has not pushed out content that has filled your PS3′s hard drive so you cannot even start “Play TV” without deleting other items stored on your hard drive), but the number of PS3-based titles that support “Remote Play” is still very limited & seems to have been put to one side now the “minis” range is playable on both platforms.

I have had no end of issues with my iPhone 3GS & iTunes client software since I bought it on the day of release last year. As soon as my 18 month contract with O2 expires I will be disposing of the Apple hardware & using Skype on my PSPgo instead. The PSP platform is a far better (dedicated) gaming device, & is supported by an organisation that cares about quality instead of quantity.
If an external Universal Media Disc player was available it would be the perfect complement, but in the absence of this may I enquire if the PSPgo Converter Cable Adaptor is (ever) going to be available in Europe/the UK so that earlier PSP accessories can be used with the PSPgo?
BFN,
fp.
