Aw man, I was really getting into that and then it ended. Am curious what was up with Superman. He did seem a tad cross or was it just Luthor’s retelling of events portraying him as overly aggressive even given the circumstances.

I know that’s only a cinematic trailer, and apart from maybe a few hints today’s some of the story in DCUO it’s not going to have a whole lot in common with the actual game, but damn was it cool!!! Can the DCUO team or who ever made the trailer for them make a full length feature film with that sort of cgi? Please? Pretty please? Really is the coolest trailer I think I’ve ever seen.

sorry noob question here, but who was the villain finishing off green lantern? I think i heard him shout Shazam!, does that means that its Captain Marvel? if so, why is he a villain? again sorry if its a noob question

That was Black Adam, Captain Marvel’s main enemy and sometimes sorta friend.

It’s the most insanely awesome thing EVER. I hope that they get rights to do a film entirely in CGI (do Sony own DC now? I dunno ) but I loved this. Had it in full screen forgot it was a trailer thought it was a movie!!!

where’s the end of the video?
the bit i suspect will lead directly into what happens in the game, that being thousands of people developing powers, that will be the reason for their suddenly being thousands of new powered heroes and villians in the dcu.
anyway, absolutely awesome video, i think i’ve watched 8 or 9 times so far.
get the, obviously amazingly talented, people who did this to make a movie length version and it could do record business.
and of course hamill does his best to steal the show, if it weren’t for all that action he might just have succeeded.
i’ve been following this game for a very long time now, right from the beginning, to think, it’s just a few months away now.
can’t hardly wait.

oh yeah, i do have one question, who was that giant woman green lantern knocked down?
i know a bit about the dc universe but i’m not familiar with her.

You know, I never liked MMORPG’s before and their damn subscription plan thing but while I couldn’t care less about wizards and elves, this here is the DCU. This is my sorta thing. I’m torn between wanting it to be garbage (in which case I’ll save my money) or really excellent (i’d likely have to subscribe). The fact it’s on a console appeals to me more too as I won’t have to use a damn mouse to control it and hopefully a lot less stat and item management cos that stuff bores me. I just want to have powers, level up now and then and kick plenty butt in a world full of these quality long lasting superhero characters. I signed up for the beta the day it was announced. Really hope to get to be a tester so I can get a proper idea of how it all works.

This trailer is really superb work and I agree fully with those who want a movie like this and I’m not usually into all-cgi movies.

i saw the full version on gametrailers, well, not on gametrailers because that’s still playing up but i downloaded it and watched it, several times.
thanks for telling me who the large lady is, i’m not familiar with giganta because it seems, from what google says , she’s primarily one of wonder woman’s rogues gallery, and i haven’t read much wonder woman, we’re poorly served for her in the uk, batman and superman get their own books here, but not wonder woman.

It’s ok. I don’t get the UK prints of DC stuff as they’re usually quite out of date and you don’t get the whole selection. I have a Forbidden Planet nearby and they (and other specialist comic stores and some book shops like the now defunct-Borders) sell the actual US comics. I think I actually saw Giganta (and other relatively obscure characters like her) in the Justice League Unlimited cartoon which we did get over here on cartoon network. Oddly a lot of the final season episodes got shown in the UK before the US. They don’t always get everything first even when it’s their own product it seems :p

That trailer was ridiculously good. Black Adam looks absolutely incredible, does this mean Captain Marvel will play a role in the game? I sure hope so! One other character I’d like to see is The Question, but that’s highly unlikely, or how about Jonah Hex?!

I dont follow DC stuff heavily but i have to say i think thats the best trailer for any game/film or media that i’ve ever seen in my life, a shame it ended.

Oh I am soooooo sick of these trailers. YES! well done you can write a narrative and get a team to animate something amazing but this I 10000000000% guarantee will bear NO resemblance of the game graphics, or the game play whatsoever. It sickens me because that there cost a couple of thousand to make and doesn’t tell me – the consumer anything about that product at all.

I will wait for the disappointing game screens and video footage and then join everyone else who will complain that it pretty much uses the same engine that City Of Heroes has for something like 6yrs.

i was just wondering will game be like WoW and force you to pay monthly or do you just buy the game and play for as long as you want.

Pay monthly mate, approx the same cost as WoW I’m led to believe.. looks like my WoW subscription will come to an end soon

So, in the USA the game will cost $60, and a further $14.99 per month subscription fee, which given Sony’s track record, will probably mean almost a direct figure transfer into £/€, with no discount for PS+ users. Remind me what the point of PS+ is again? I for one don’t fancy spending £50-£60 on a game and then shelling out over £100 a year to be able to play it, so sadly I think I’ll be crossing this one off my list.

Before I get jumped on, I’m aware of the argument that the money is to cover good tech support and content, but I prefer the model adopted by most other console games, where I can choose to pay for extras, but even if I don’t, I still have a game I can play online, which is sadly not the case here.

Don’t forget the US will probably get some sort of money off deal if they’re a PS+ member. Our PS+ is beyond a joke and SCEE should be ashamed of themselves and I’m glad I didn’t go for it when it was first announced because I’d be beyond peeved.

As for DCUO it looks good from the trailer but I’ll wait for gameplay videos and previews that tell me something about the game before I make a decision.

I’m assuming this is the future were the villains kill superman and his allies. Lex Luthor, after he defeat/killed superman then he just realize he got blind by his obsession which the true enemy is Brainiac.. i love the pre-rendered videos makes me wants to buy the game but i need to see the “latest” gameplay just to make sure its a “must buy” game.

In the game when your nearly finished do u hav to face brainiac with the evil side (I choose 2 be good) cuz at the end when Lex told Superman, Bats n Wonder Woman it looked like they had 2 work together when brainiac comes

No it isnt for free… if it was it wont hav regular updates for moves, quest, Area’s e.t.c it will be like Perfect World or any other F2P good but no updates for stuff that will introduce epic things 4 your entertainment n yes u hav 2 pay on PS3 and PC
