Starting tomorrow, Activision is giving you the chance to win a real-life 125i BMW Performance just for playing a game. It comes in Alpine White, features racing-style carbon trims, striking BMW Performance accent strips and, most significantly of all, the BMW Performance aerodynamic kit.
All you have to do to enter is download the blur demo from PlayStation Store and reach level 5. When you do so, you will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win this stellar prize.
You must be over 18 to enter. This competition is available in the following countries: Ireland, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Greece, Spain, Finland, France, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Russia and United Kingdom. For more information, go to eu.playstation.com/competitions.

I already reached level 5. But then I deleted the demo and the save game. Am I still ‘in’ the competition?
Posted on 3 August, 2010 at 2:10 pm by James Gallagher
You’ll only be entered if you download the demo again and reach level 5 one more time from tomorrow.

Quick question – can I download the demo today and just wait with playing until tommorow?
Posted on 3 August, 2010 at 2:44 pm by James Gallagher
I would wait until 5pm tomorrow, when the competition officially opens, to download the demo. Don’t worry, you have until 25 August to get to level 5 and submit your entry.

I’m around level 3ish, but I downloaded when the demo was pushed to me via PS+.
Do I need to re-download or just hit level 5?

Posted on 3 August, 2010 at 2:22 pm by BAZ1307
LOL, this feels kinda stupid considering I already have the full game, enjoy it a lot and play it all of the time.
But anyway, I will still download the demo and get to rank 5, I couldn’t miss out on this competition, it would be a dream to have that as my very first car.
Also, my initials are BMW, just though you should know that.

Hi James
Another sweet competition. I posted the below text for the review cologne comp this morning. I’m sure you don’t have time to read through old posts so I’m submitting this again. Sorry its off topic:
I sent my review entry to the UK address, before I saw in the comments that there was a separate IE address. So I sent it to that address too. Will I get disqualified for a double entry (gigidy)? It’s the exact same review.
Any update on that unfortunate Kakka 3D TV competition incident?
Posted on 3 August, 2010 at 4:03 pm by James Gallagher
That’s alright mate – send it over to the IE address and it will be counted. I’m afraid I didn’t hear anything back in time on the Kaka comp – I wasn’t a part of it, I was just asked to put something on the blog.

I waited ages to get online and it didn´t happen. So I deleted the demo and won´t buy it ever.

Why Denmark and not Sweden and Norway?
Not that I’m surprised or anything, we never get anything.
Posted on 3 August, 2010 at 4:47 pm by James Gallagher
It’s an issue with local laws that we can’t get around when it comes to prize draws with an element of chance.

I’ll be 18 just before the 25th August. Would you recommend that I wait until I’m 18 before I download the demo and get to Rank 5?

Thanks for it to be also available in the Netherlands James .
I’m going to make this easy for everyone:
so I don’t need a car.
I won’t participate. I already have a motorcycle
Thanks again and I’m sure someone will be very happy with the BMW

Hi,
How to submit?
42
Posted on 4 August, 2010 at 11:44 am by VarHyid
I just checked the PS Store and… there’s no Blur demo at all. Neither in PS3 -> Racing games, nor A-Z -> Demos.
I also can’t find any info on the PS EU competition page. Am I too late… or too soon?
43
Posted on 4 August, 2010 at 12:12 pm by Chmura_M
“ERROR
The Blur server is not available at this time. Please try later.”
I get this message

@Gillir
Buahaha!
So that’s why there’s no Blur Demo in the Polish PS Store. I hope it will be added ASAP otherwise that’s one (epic?) FAIL!

As if the Demo didn’t have enough players already… We need more players in the RETAIL version of the game! Even before the competition there were 2000-3000 people online in the demo compared to roughly 300 in the retail game. This sucks!

Why is Belgium once again excluded from this competition?
