We have another two minis out this week for fans of all creatures great and small.
Fly Fu
Fly Fu is a side-scrolling beat-’em-up game with characters designed from photographs of dead insects mixed with doodle art.
Your girlfriend, Kate Moth, a fluffy moth was kidnapped by evil spiders and dragged away to the suburb. But do not fear as you are not a common housefly, but one that is trained to fight. Being a Kung-Fu master, only you can save your love from the claws of the evil insects.
The game features five chapters, each ending with a unique boss, as you fight against the strongest members of The Cuticulous Gang.
Features:
- Watch the famous ‘dead fly art’ in smooth motion.
- Fight your way through bees, wasps, lady bugs and more than 20 different insects.
- Get really mad at insects bugging around and GO BERSERK!
- Arm yourself with matchsticks and needle-pins to gain more fist power.
- Put your endurance to the test in survival mode.
Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter
Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter is a hunting game, which lets players explore huge non-linear locations as they attempt to track down a variety of dinosaurs that are armed with advanced AI.
These are dangerous creatures that are able to see, hear and sense the hunter. If you’re not careful, it’s very easy for the hunter to become the hunted. With 15 different dinosaurs across five distinct environments including pine forests, muddy marshes and rolling hills. How you approach your target is important: wind direction, scent and the use of a special dinosaur call are all key elements in tracking your prey.
Features:
- Interactive 3D dinosaurs, from the Herbivorous (plant eating) for novice hunters to the Carnivorous (meat eating) for experts.
- Choose from among 6 weapon types – from a sniper rifle to an X-bow.
- Utilize the map and radar to locate and track dinosaurs.
- Exciting hunting: a non-linear hunting experience where players roam through vast landscapes, tracking and hunting a variety of dinosaurs.

I actually still have the old Carnivores game on my PC, funny how it’s now back as a mini. That game should really be remade in HD for the PSN sometime, it was pretty cool. Especially the “trophy room” that you could walk around in. It stored your catches you ordered to be retrieved by a helicopter. Dunno if that’s in this minis version though, but it looks pretty much the same.

To anyone who hasn’t tried Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter before, I highly recommend it. It was originally a PC game back in 1998 and then it was ported to iPhone, and finally Minis. The game has you hunting prehistoric species using a range of different guns and abilities available to you.
Having said all of that, the game is extremely addictive. I spent literally hours on end playing this game back when it was on PC simply trying to get bigger and badder trophy kills.
