Good Afternoon everyone, I hope you’re all well and full of the joys of Summer. Mike has jetted off to Cologne with the Gamescom crew to round up a new herd of PSN games for the coming months, which leaves it to me to bring you the latest goodies.
A quiet week this week since everyone who’s anyone is at the big GC, but we’ve got a few nice bits and pieces for you to tide you over into September. We have brand new demos of EA’s NHL 11 and Ubisoft’s H.A.W.X.2 for the PS3 crowd, along with a host of new add-ons for some great games.
As Richard already told you last week, Uncharted 2 gets a new skin pack, adding some more multiplayer characters for you to choose from (and don’t forget the dynamic theme). We’ve got two new characters for you to launch from your PAIN-a-pults, including Sergeant Jay and Jolly the Elf, (we figured August was the ideal time to give you a Christmas themed character). The final set of Marvel costumes releases this week as well, including Hulk, who I’ve heard is fond of smashing.
Six new PSP Essentials join the others on the Store, including a brand new digital release of Open Season, plus the latest LittleBigPlanet kits.
The real stars of the show this week are the oodles of Gamescom trailers we’ve got for you in glorious high-definition. All the big hitters are present and correct, with new trailers for KillZone 3, Motorstorm: Apocalypse, inFamous 2 and LittleBigPlanet 2, but don’t forget to check out the PlayStation Move line up too – you’ve not got long left to save your pennies and hopefully these trailers will help you choose which titles to grab come launch day. May I suggest Sports Champions? Disc Golf is an office favourite.

I got Kane & Lynch Limited Edition 2 delivered early yesterday but when I tried to use the DLC code it said the code was invalid.
Is this because the DLC is not on the store yet (Possibly friday)?

Open Season is new for the Store but it’s been added as an Essential right away. There’s a new PS1 game coming next week, and I know it’s been requested before a few times. But it’s not Resident Evil so don’t get your hopes up!

could you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE AND IM BEGGING YOU make a request to have FirstPlay thrown into Plus weekly.. now, hold on, I dont mean for free
I know it would cost €44 a year to put in a years FirstPlay so that would be unfair. But, the US do get a $25 Qore subscription which is half their money back again.
So, my idea is, give us the option to subscribe to FirstPlay at half price. So, we can buy a 90 day subscription for 5.50 instead of 10.99 ?

Yeah I’m looking forward to Castle Crashers too – if you haven’t tried Scott Pilgrim yet I suggest you give that a go, they have quite a bit in common.

Nothing about FF Tactics I’m afraid, sorry, but we’ve been talking to Square-Enix though and telling them what you’ve been requesting. The publishers choose how much to drop their prices by.

Ah come on, neither Mike nor I view it as hate – you guys are absolutely entitled to ask about things and say what you’re thinking, but that doesn’t mean we’re always allowed to answer.
I know half of you don’t believe it but we do take it all on and go and talk to the relevant parties about what you’re asking for.

Ok I really need this to be answered as it regards missing FirstPlay issue and they told me to contact PSS service themselves.
Ok here goes, I was banned for one month ( -sigh- grr ) anyway, my FirstPlay subscription is till 28/8 ( another 10 days ) and I am now missing issue number 15 due to my ban which i have paid for. Is there any way I could get this issue back without paying a second time? Like a unique code or something. Please reply back. Thanks

Oh, Ross… could you try find something out for me.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part one was shown with Kinect yesterday but, will it have PS Move support.
It seems like a perfect game for move, the controller is like a wand, it would be great !
