A party with PlayStation is like Christmas come early, which we got to prove all over again yesterday, when the bass was shaking up the entire exhibition hall 7.
In the evening, after most visitors have left gamescom, managers, journalists and promoters got together at the lavish PlayStation booth to celebrate another gamescom coming to an end. It couldn’t have been more spectacular.
The audience gathered around the stage when the MCs announced the legendary Flying Steps, who might’ve captured the essence of PlayStation Move just a little bit too perfectly.
After we were all warmed up, we upped the ante one more time: Our star-guests Locnville, who are currently touring through Europe, filled the room with the electrifying sound of their debut-single “Sun In My Pocket”.
The five winners of our Meet & Greet competition could not wait for Andrew and Brian to leave the stage so they could finally meet them in person.
After the boys from Locnville have left to catch the flight to the next leg of their ongoing tour, the turntables were taken over by DJs, including Flo Simbek. While some people were enjoying the music while trying out games such as Killzone 3, inFAMOUS 2 or singing along to the newest SingStar-Compilations, others danced their heart out until the break of dawn.
Oh, by the way, if you stay tuned to the PlayStation Blog, you can catch an interview with Locnville that we conducted right at the Sony PlayStation booth.

I wish I could get into the computer games industry!!! Unfortunately if I do it will be a desk job… but still, would be COMPLETELY engaged in my work for the gaming cause!

Great fun at Gamescom. This looks like a well deserved party. I guess most of you guys (and girls) will have to spend the coming few days in a coma to recover from the fair.
Just one comment. The waiting lines were very long at the fair during the public show, and sometimes too much so.
How about giving PSN+ users the chance to skip to the head of the line, or have a special entrance for them at the PlayStation booth.

Arg! I saw the guy taking these photos. There was one with me and my mates clearly visible. Guess he decided not to use ‘em.
The PlayStation booth was amazing. Biggest out of the lot and you could literally just get lost in there for a whole day with all the things they let your get your hands on. My highlights were Move and 3D. I managed to play Virtua Tenis in 3D with Move and my jaw fell straight to the ground. The 3DTV tech is stunning. Beats the hell out of what you get at the movies.
All in all, an awesome show from SCEE.
