I personally am not a PSN + subscriber, and i must sincerely admit that is is certainly not through these kind of uninteresting deals that i will ever be boarding the ship. As a heavy PSN user, and thus possessing quite a large catalog of content — whether games/DLCs/Avatars– from the Playstation Store, i admittedly find absolutely no reason to subscribe to the PSN+ membership. Indeed, all content i presently possess are content i have always wanted and easterly awaited, making all content distributed through the PSN membership some that simply do not interest me, or that i evidently already possess.

I have lengthily detailed the different offers that would unhesitatingly convince me to go PSN+ on the ‘PSN+ Wish List’ topic that can be found on the Playstation Forums. Lastly, as a huge Ratchet and Clank fan, i must inform you that i too own this title, for precisely two years now.

Cloud game saves could be nice though something I want as part of the basic PS3 service anyways. cross game chat I care not for, I want to be able to permanently disable all voice chat from the XMB so it applies to all games, or at least give me an option to have it only active for people on your PSN list. So goddamn sick of having to mute people on Uncharted 2 every damn time.

I dont actually want to buy anything else from the store anymore, Because im starting to worry that itll all end up free on PS+ in later months.

Plus should offer NEW content.

Also, Yeah, Web browser needs fixing, It is dodgy.

Bother “Free Sign Up” games so far have been excellent, but I already owned them which is a shame.

I’m guessing you pick plus games by going through people’s suggestions. But there should be other factors to take into account (which you may already do?)

If a game has been well received by critics, but largely ignored by gamers (not had many downloads), then it would perhaps need a little more attention, and you’d be giving it to many players who didn’t already own it.

I still personally believe there should be a choice of 2 or 3 PSN downloadable games per month, because I think it’s really unfair that some players should be shunted with titles they already own. Someone could go throughout their whole 12 subscription and not receive a single free full game!!

If PS+ had any value for me I’d subscribe in a heartbeat. I have 80+ % of what’s on offer so there’s nothing there for me, I already bought all that I want, I always buy what I want so I can’t see PS+ ever having any value for me if it only includes stuff that I have already bought weeks and months ahead.

Are you joking? So by signing up 1st I got something that I already owned, now you offer Rachet and clank quest for booty, which I don’t own? you are kidding right?

I would love to see Tomb Raider of FFVIII eventually go up for Plus, but I don’t know if you and the team could arrange that James ^^.

I actually would love to see Quest for Booty go up for Plus at some point, that and Trine, Pixeljunk Eden, Peggle, Echochrome or Lumines Supernova. I would have listed Hustle Kings and Gravity Crash as well but with the discounts next month I guess I’ll just have to buy them!

I wonder James if you and the team could sort out something Move related for Plus? Be that a demo, theme, full game trial or something like that? I know that most of the launch games will have demos so maybe later on in the year or next year you could sort something out? I guess not everyone will be buying the Move though so there would be complaints…

When will FirstPlay be available for free with PS+?
US gets Qore for free for their PS+, it’s only fair.

This content is saving me £40 a year – in not buying such a lacklustre offering.

How i can extend PSN+?

Hmmm so if i subscribe this time i’ll get a game i already own again… very tempting but i’ll pass. So I’m guessing sony didn’t get as many people to subscribe like it thought it could.

I bought Street Fighter 2 HD Remix from the store a few weeks ago as it was a limited time discount and now if I would of waited I would of got it for free, surely PS+ content should not include stuff that has previously been discounted in the PS store…..

I’m not gonna buy anything out of the store anymore just incase it comes up for free in PS+……..

I signed up day 1 for Plus, do we get QUEST FOR BOOTY in Greece? I already have LBP on BlueRay so no need for me to download it. Please help!! :’(

The Killzone 3 beta is on now.
It would be nice if PS+ subs (3 month and 1 year) get invited.

well this is my last month of ps+. i wont be renewing it. as said previous i only d/l stuff as it was free. the minis are rank rotten. ps1 classics look terrible graphics wise so i wont play them. apart from a few avatars oh and wipeout hd which i only rent in theory there aint much to keep me subscribing. i bought my ps3 because its an awesome machine, it would be good to get more ps3 content for it. even ps2 stuff would be more welcome than ps1 crap. great machine in its time but we have moved on sony!!!. must admit though the discounts on stuff looking better. really hope this builds up better in the future then i will re subscribe. ps give us qore if first play not available

There’s a big big problem with PS+ and Sony needs to change the way the offer content here.

There’s not a lot of value in PS+ when you already own most of the offered content.

People who are PS+ owners stop buying things from PSN incase it appears as free in PS+.

Sony you really should see the problem with service, it’s shooting itself in the foot.

I’m still not convinced to buy into PS+ I’m afraid… The main problem lies with already owning the majority of the content listed (as will many other potential Ps+ buyers) where as I can just cherry pick the best content throughout the year to what suits me. There really needs to be more incentive to make this more appealing to purchase, it just isn’t big & bold enough!

How about bundling in First Play into the deal?
Adding movie/music content?
Cross game chat?
Backwards PS1/PS2 compatability? (this REALLY needs to happen)
Weekly updates to PS+ to prevent buying an item that might become free or on offer later?
Ability to turn auto download off (this is a must as I wouldn’t want everything)
In game exclusives (extra characters, weapons, cars etc for various SONY developed games)
Parity with U.S PS+

I regret to say that at the moment the PS+ club just doesn’t feel exclusive enough but very much work in progress, so for the time being I’ll wait & be very happy with my free PSN service…

All well and good but where are the push demos and full game trials for October??,
I would like to see Lara Croft And The Guardian of Light on the service, along with Monkey Island 1 and 2, and a 1 year free subscription too DC Universe Online, that would be great and another idea would be to publish a larger schedule to let people know what will and will not be free in the weeks to come, hope this is read, Thanks a lot for the great service.

Still think you need to have some way of providing an option for 2 or 3 top titles so you can have a better chance of getting a game every month that you don’t already own.

If that is true, And its not included in PS+, Ill lose all faith in everything ever.

We should be getting in to EVERY PS3 exclusives beta!

It doesn’t pay to be an early adopter with Sony. I got burned by PSP Go: bought on week one, there was a better offer just a month later, and the insane 10 free games offer this summer. Still love the machine and have a lot of games, but there has been no love shown for early adopters.

Plus is yet another way for Sony and game publishers to nickel-and-dime us, and I’ll have nothing of it. Don’t even get me started on DLC you have to pay for which should have been included in many games at launch. I won’t buy any game which does that.

Plus is designed to lock you in further into it – the moment you unsubscribe you lose some of the stuff you already paid for. We can’t own any games soon, and forget about buying second hand. At the same time as media and delivery is practically zero cost, we don’t get any discount – only more subscriptions and DLC we have to pay for.

Also, waiting “eagerly” for Sony to screw the non-Plus PSN users by moving more content to Plus-only.

Just wondering, if i sign up to plus like right now, before the store update, will i be able to download all the content available in august and still be eligible for the free ratchet and clank game? Since it is the 1st September already..

I’m happy with Playstation Store’s posts because Mike and Ross reply to a lot of comments, but Playstation Plus’ posts don’t get any replies at all.

Still not convinced by Playstation Plus. The only thing that’s been of interest to me in ALL months so far (and forthcoming) has been 20% off Pixeljunk Shooter… so, a £1 value?

Pretty good selection there, although I already have the whole Sam and Max season(or will do when the finale becomes available today). Not much I want this month, just the UFC 2010 DLC, Oddworld and maybe half price Warhawk.
Oh and Street Fighter 2 HD Remix next month, awesome.
One thing though, I noticed no DLC was mentioned for next months offerings. Was that a mistake or is there no DLC on offer next month?

@Marrsterhausen. You can play ps1 games on every ps3 and there is an option to turn the auto download off.

I share similar thoughts to #58. until we’re given a choice of at least two PSN titles per month (one download selection of course) I will not be signing up.

May I ask why PS+ gets exclusive themes and demos? Once again I’m complaining, in the last three months I have bought content for 550NOK+ while the price for one year PS+ is 400NOK. Where the [DELETED] is my exclusive offers?

As some others have already pointed out, had I known (or Sony had mentioned) that basically any other game than LBP would be offered as a sign-up bonus, I would’ve waited. I already own LBP on disc, so it was basically just the added bonus of playing it from harddrive for me.

I actually think Sony should allow all PSN+ subscribers to get these free games (in this case Ratchet & Clank) *to play for the duration of their subscription*. My point is, the sign-up bonus you OWN, already-subscribers only get to PLAY it for the duration of their subscription. Obviously this would only apply to those who signed up for a subscription as long as or longer than the one the sign-up bonus is offered for. For example, if R&C:QFB is offered to OWN for free as a sign-up bonus for a 1-year subscription, only those already signed up for at least 1 year should be able to PLAY it for the duration of their PSN+ membership (i.e. until they stop paying).

This would make it a lot more attractive to join PSN+, and I suspect that Sony would lose very little money (in sales of DLC) to such a strategy.
