VIDZONE UPDATE: As We Proceed and Continue… 

…to rock the mic… Anybody get the artist and title from those lyrics? It’s not got much to do with the update, but I really like the tune and I get to write this blog so there. If this goes well, I might be adding a few more little lyric based quizzes to the coming month’s blogs. Aaaannyway…

A couple of things to shout about this week. First of all, our friends at the Official PlayStation Magazine have been busy picking through our huge catalogue to pick their favourite videos for their very own playlist! Which is a very a mixed bag of very great videos… which is nice. Also one of our very special staff Joel “Junior” Stamp who creates most of the amazing images and skins for the service is unfortunately leaving us to go back to university (slacker!) so for a leaving present we thought we would let him pick a playlist for you, all you Emo heads are in for a treat!

Artist Of The Week – Children Collide (Australia, New Zealand)
According to Wikipedia “Children Collide are a rock band from Melbourne, Australia. The band is made up of Ryan Caesar on the drums, Heath Crawley on the bass, and John Mackay, on vocals and guitar. John Mackay is also proficient on the tambourine, woodblock, and triangle.” Which is good enough for me! Includes new video “My Eagle”

Robyn Interview
We didn’t get this one in time to go in last week’s update so it’s going live now, sorry for all you that couldn’t wait… and believe me… it’s worth the wait.

Locnville Live!
South African electro hoppers are fresh from playing Gamescom where we heard they blew the place apart! As you will know from the separate blog (that I’m sure you all read ) we have the live footage from the event on VidZone!

NEXT WEEK
Well, we are planning a lot for this week but for some reason it’s been really hard locking down exactly what we do have. So while we dot i’s and cross t’s I’m going to give you little bit of homework to do to find what these features are going to be. Don’t worry it’s not too hard. All you gotta do is make your way over to our Twitter or Facebook and start to follow/join our group and we will tweet and post whenever we have a feature confirmed!
