@krioto: *copy-paste from two posts up …. !*:
Because of the value of the Euro and prices in the US not including state tax and such, if you want to compare prices you have to do a 1:1 conversion basically, so 1 dollar is 1 euro. This means that the bundle would have cost 99 euro. The German amazon comes up at less than that if you buy the Move bundle and SC separately.

@28
They did release something about it saying that the update to make standard copys move enabled will be available around/just before christmas just before they relase the move edition of the game.

A question about luminosity, my room usually have the curtains closed, will the Move work well with low light? I don’t think there wouldn’t be a problem because the Move motion controller has a light bulb.
Posted on 8 September, 2010 at 12:28 pm by James Gallagher
It works perfectly well in very low light.

Hi James
Don’t forget that Planet Minigolf is Move compatible too.
James, does Starhawk work with Move?

Hi James, how do you callibrate the Move controller to the PS3? Thanks.
Posted on 8 September, 2010 at 12:30 pm by James Gallagher
It really depends on the game. For some, like echochrome ii, where you’re using the controller like a pointing device, it’s just a case of pointing towards the centre of the screen and pressing a button. For Sports Champions, where the game has to get a sense of your body shape and proportions, you have to stand in a box and raise the controller to your shoulder, then down to your side and then hold it against your waist. It all takes about two seconds.

I was hoping we’d get more information, so thanks. I am already an owner of the Playstation Eye so I was worried I may have to buy one again or trade it in to get a MOVE package. I don’t think I’ll have enough spare money to get the move controller AND a Navigation controller at the same time though.
I’m guessing it’ll let me use the 6-Axis to navigate menus until I get one though.

Chaospower: correct, sensing the Move controller works perfect with the curtains closed. In fact, extremely bright sunlight coming into the room directly can actually throw off the Move controller’s sensing. It’s not as bad as with the Wii, but it can happen. There are a few stress test videos out there on youtube already.
However, some applications of Move that also do facial recognition, and sometimes combine it with Move to estimate your full upper body position, could in very dark circumstances work less well at least in theory (I don’t know if it could ever become dark enough though with the light coming from the TV and the Move controller). The PS Eye camera can adjust itself to different light situations pretty well – you can recalibrate while playing by holding the Action button at any time if your lighting conditions suddenly changed really dramatically.

James, you mis-interpreted my other comment.
I had asked about The Shoot, if it was still Sep 17th (like Amazon says), or Oct 8th (like most other online retailers say).
Agamer had replied to me saying it was Oct 8th now.
So, can you clarify …. The Shoot, Sep 17th or Oct 8th?

James thanks for the reply and the other person as well
I’m only going to used one motion controller for the time being.

Wasn’t interested in the move before.
But i’m gonna get it just for time crisis lol.
It would be cool if time crisis will come bundled with 2 move controllers, cause it would be cheaper than buying 2 controllers separate.
The fact that time crisis 4 only came with one gun and you couldn’t buy another gun separately stopped me from buying the game.

Think i might have to get this eventually, theres not many games yet that interest me.
Well i have got EyePet already, glad to hear thats getting a patch, same with Hustle King, i really wish they would patch the original Resident Evil 5 to work with Move
About the Shooting Attachment, would this be used for FPS like Call of Duty etc, will Black Ops be compatible with this?

Posted on 8 September, 2010 at 1:16 pm by niwrA
Resident Evil 5 Gold will get a day one patch (15 September), and checking amazon germany, the “Gold Move Edition” is available on the 15th as well, so I’d say yes (good price there too).
The Shoot I think is still the 15th for Europe as well (same source as above). Don’t know about other regions.

How does Move factor into Tron: Evolution?
The gameplay footage I’ve seen has all been about riding the lightcycle, or free-running around like you’re a hi-tech Prince Of Persia, neither of which seem Move friendly.
Is there a bit we haven’t seen where we get to throw Tron discs at each other? Cos I imagine that would be Move friendly, and frikkin amazing too.

Also – this isn’t strictly Move related but anyway;
I have the original RE5, if I was to cave in and get the Gold Move edition in order to use the Move with it – would my save data carry over from the original edition?
(this question is open to anyone who might know, not just James, I’m sure he’s getting sick of tangential questions now)

awesome, I’m going to Eurogamer on my gaming course (I’m hoping to become a games designer) so I’ll hopefully be able to try out the move controller.

@Saber_IV
I don’t know if it’s been answered already, there’s 3 pages I haven’t looked at yet, but Capcom have apparently explained the reason why only RE5 Gold supports Move. In the original release the game uses a section of memory that is required for Move support, when they were preparing RE5 Gold they were made aware of the upcoming reveal of Move and what technical data was available; this allowed them to recode the relevant parts of the game to free up the memory for Move ready for patching, come release. Why can’t they patch the original version, to free up this section of memory? I couldn’t tell you, but can only presume it’s a technical limitation of the patching system.

Why is it that you can play any ps3 fps games with frag fx ect. But not use ps move as aiming device? I don’t get why sony hasn’t been able to deal with that. If its really more presice than dualshocks thumbstick they should enable the use of it in every game. Until that happens i prolly wont buy move.

I have a question, concerning the Playstation Eye:
Does Sony have plans for a solution for mounting it on ultrathin TV’s that are now available?
I recently upgraded to a 50″ plasma (no, not rich, it’s being paid off over 10 months) and the bottom of the screen is around knee height, whilst the top is getting near to my shoulders (which seems to be the optimal placing for the Eye). The problem? There’s only a flat strip about 1cm wide running along the top of the TV, which only extends about 1/3 of the way under the camera, and that’s behind the front frame so I can’t just balance it on there even if I used blu-tack.
I’ve seen a third-party clip for sale, but it appears to be bare plastic and therefore likely to scratch the frame on my TV; also, it seems to be designed to hang off the bottom of the TV, which makes it pretty pointless.
It just needs a small platform/frame that sits/hooks over the front of the TV frame and then some kind of adjustable leg on the back which allows you to level it, i.e. one or two of those bendy legs you get on mini camera tripods, but with a rubber ball rather than plastic ones.

tHeApX: would be nice if it were that simple, wouldn’t it? I think that while what you are suggesting may work in theory, in practice there are a number of reasons why that won’t work as easily. An analog controller first of all isn’t a pointer, it’s a simple two axis ‘turning stick’. In order to replicate its input with Move, you could theoretically tilt it in the direction of the analog stick, but then you basically do it like sixaxis controls already do in a few games (like Motorstorm). Even if the Move should do a better job, it’s not the same. You’ll be using your hand/wrist which has different physical limitations from your thumb, so you will need different kinds of calibrations, per game, per hand-size, etc. Programmed assists may and will work differently a result as well.

Posted on 8 September, 2010 at 4:37 pm by niwrA
YenRug: yeah, I’ve seen some TVs that can be a bother for this kind of thing. I don’t think there’s an official Sony one yet, but I heard that blutack may work instead of or in combination with such clip-ons.

Hi, are any of these games also getting stereoscopic 3d support? I heard tumble and the sly collection were (and killzone3 next year). Looking forward to seeing how well the move mapping works in a 3d game!
Thanks all!

Off the top of my head, The Fight, Hustle Kings, Virtua Tennis 4 and EyePet will also be getting some 3D love later on.

any chance of time crisis 1+2 and point blank becoming psn downloads? And why doesnt the shooting attachment have a sight? Thanks.

Posted on 9 September, 2010 at 10:55 am by niwrA
The ‘Playstation Move and 3D Games Archive’ on the iWaggle blogpot has all 3D and Move games, and you can easily see which Move game also has 3D support. Hustle Kings isn’t one of them, but the rest is correct. From that list, titles not yet mentioned here are: Flight Control HD, Pain, NBA 2K11, Dungeon Defenders, and Tron.
So 11 in total so far.
As for Mulukh’s post: I agree that would be great, but may be a little expensive for them to do perhaps (they can’t just ‘emulate’ the old guncon). As for the lack of a sight, it’s probably a style decision.

When will the patch for Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition, come to the PSN in New Zealand? Cheers, really want to find this out.

And since you can play with the DualShock / Sixaxis instead of the NavCon, you could try that for a month and if it turns out that this doesn’t work for you (don’t even try it if you’re a lefty) then you can always still get the NavCon.
This is also what I will do – I have two Sixaxis, two DualShocks, and will get one or two Moves first and see how I fare with a sixaxis in my left hand, and then maybe add a NavCon later if it turns out to be essential.

If you can use mouse in PS3 as pointing device without any problems, you could use move in same pointing device way. It´s that simple. But because Sony wants to sell these party games and everything else that works with move they will not make it so that it would work in every PS3 game. They could if they wanted make an PS3 update that added the move compatibility to all PS3 games if they wanted to ( PS3 is PC its possible to make program that enables move to work as virtual mouse using the same kinda system when you plug in mouse in PS3, it just takes place of the right analog stick as pointing device.)
Stop defending Sony for things they clearly could make better.

i bought move today with navigation stick and i must say reaction of the move is very good.
BUT yeah i always have a but.
first i bought that sport champion game 40 euro for 6 minigames? little expensive for such thing, but ok its nice, so i forgive it:P
second i think 75% of the world have flat screen tv’s why does the eye cam dont have something so you can use it on a flatscreen tv mine is half flat on the bottom so its not very handy for plasma tv our flat screens, any idea why??
i hope new great games coming out soon, like sorcery, that will be a awesome game for move.
thx!

Eyepet with move edition doesnt work for me. I downloded the update from PSN store and started move edition. I get prompted to insert the eyepet disc which is already inserted. It just would not start, only the demo works.
So I thought that my original eyepet disc is bad. I went back to xmb and started the game from CD and it worked with no problem. So the disc is good.
It only when I start the move edtion, it doesnt recognize the disc!!!
Is anyone facing the same problem?
