It feels like its been an age since I last posted a store update, so I’m very glad to be back… although I may not be by the end of the day if you don’t play nicely this week
I forget how this works… this is a forum for anger management? Is that right?
Of course I jest. Please forgive me in my attempts at cracking wise.
So, onto the matter at hand: telling you folks what content we have this week. This week for you PS3 owners we have two full games available. The classic franchise Worms returns, with more madcap action. Who honestly would have thought all those years ago that a turn-based game featuring worms and a huge collection of insane weaponry would have captured our imaginations so completely? I have lost many, many hours through the years on various Worms titles, and now I’m so pleased to be able to the same all over again with Worms 2: Armageddon.
The second full title available takes you to the DANGERZONE (the Kenny Loggins track is my favourite karaoke tune, which you can also find the awesome video on VidZone too)! I couldn’t resist, sorry. Play as Maverick and take to the skies in this new Top Gun adventure. The only thing this game is missing is mini-games featuring semi-naked volleyball and locker-room towel flicking antics, but the arcade flight action I’m sure will suffice!
There’s also new content for Mafia II, Dragon Age: Origins and more besides. I’m not being lazy, but you know there’s a list of it all below… so what are waiting for, go and read it.
I’ll be around in the comments, though whether I respond to you or not is another matter (those that read here often enough know this is a joke; I’ll always answer what I can… within reason).
That’s your lot. Off you pop.

Not so good for PSP owners
Posted on 8 September, 2010 at 1:05 pm by Mike Kebby
I know, quiet on the PSP front this week

Good to see Worms 2. Decent update. Any PS one classics on the horizon? Like Croc or Spyro?
Posted on 8 September, 2010 at 1:07 pm by Mike Kebby
I’m not aware of anything PSone related in terms of specific dates, but there must be more coming…right? Surely?

Posted on 8 September, 2010 at 1:03 pm by JordanBlack68
Will it be 3pm this time, not late like last week
Posted on 8 September, 2010 at 1:05 pm by Mike Kebby
I wasn’t here last week, so am blissfully unaware that the store update was later than usual

Mike, anything new about the status of Castle Crashers? Next week maybe?
Respond please.
Posted on 8 September, 2010 at 1:07 pm by Mike Kebby
Is it wrong that whenever I read the words ‘respond please’ I don’t want to…maybe it’s because it feels like an order
Castle Crashers will not be here next week…but should be here very soon after that! Not long, promise.

What time does the store update today?
Posted on 8 September, 2010 at 1:09 pm by Mike Kebby
It should be around 3pm (UK time).

Nothing for the PSP owners like me. Win some, lose some, as the saying goes. I’m sure there will be something in the coming weeks.
Can I make a couple of suggestions for content: How about both Digimon World games, Medal of Honor, Spider-Man games and the other four Tomb Raider games for PSOne classics, and also could you have Spider-Man 3 for the PSP?

Posted on 8 September, 2010 at 1:04 pm by soidut
Emm…Ummhhh…. Where are the PSP games? One more time a clear message for PSPGo users. I am just tired of waitng for nothing
Posted on 8 September, 2010 at 1:11 pm by Mike Kebby
I’m afraid there was nothing sdubmitted for release this week…not much I can do about that I’m afraid. I certainly would LOVE to see content every week though!
I can’t imagine high-street retailers chase publishers for content if it’s a quiet week either though

Ahhh, No castle crashers! where is it? no disrespect but its so annoying having to wait when the US store have had it already for a week!
Any Info would be appreciated!
Oh well Quantum Theory should keep my entertained…
Posted on 8 September, 2010 at 1:12 pm by Mike Kebby
Not this week, not next week, but soon after. I just want to make sure it’s through QA and everything is ready before giving a date.
14
Posted on 8 September, 2010 at 1:05 pm by Roxas598
i thought ross said more street fighter avatars were due today?
i’ll DL the Quantum Theory demo bout it.
Got Birth by sleep to keep me busy

So that’s what Ross does in my absence is it…lie to you all? Shame on him.
There is another batch coming very soon.

when is dead nation being released
Posted on 8 September, 2010 at 1:15 pm by Mike Kebby
Good question, I don’t have a specific date to share though, I have to leave that for the Product Manager/Dev team to announce.

Posted on 8 September, 2010 at 1:05 pm by STUPID_DAD
Castle crashers?
and are we getting lara croft the same time as the yanks?
Posted on 8 September, 2010 at 1:16 pm by Mike Kebby
Castle Crashers soon (I’m going to write that loads today i can tell).
I don’t know when the US release date is, but it should be the same for both stores…and not too long now either.

Regards to avatars, why not do a “PlayStation History Pack” or something along those lines, where the avatars would be old icons from the PS1/PS2 days such as, the PS logo, a PS1, a PS2, MGS avatars, Crash Bandicoot avatars etc. Would be very cool!

Hi Mike good to have you back. Any news on Castle Crashers and TerRover? Thanks
Posted on 8 September, 2010 at 1:18 pm by Mike Kebby
Thanks…it may be too early for me to say it’s good to be back, we’ll see how the afternoon goes
Both games will be coming soonish (we’re talking weeks rather than months), I don’t want to jinx the releases by giving dates until I’m 100% sure of them.

Mike, do you know if eyePet and new Invizimals game on the PSP will be available on the store when it’s released? If it is will the adapter for the PSP Go be released as well so we can connect the Go Cam to it to play EyePet or Invizimals?
Posted on 8 September, 2010 at 1:28 pm by Mike Kebby
They should be yes, all Sony published PSP games have made it onto the store, and the most recent ones have been on the same day as the UMD versions too.

Hi Mike, any chance you could ask James Thorpe to answer a few questions in either plus thread rather than 3 ‘glad you like it’ replies on the front page and silence. Sorry to bring it up in here… I appreciate the job you do, pity your colleagues aren’t so forthcoming with talking to your paying customers
Posted on 8 September, 2010 at 1:30 pm by Mike Kebby
I’ll give him a nudge, he’s been running around all day, so I presume he’s a tad busy…but when he gets the chance he’s always happy to sit down and make loads of responses.

HEY Mike plz reply do you have a date for magic the gathering duels of the plainswalker?
Posted on 8 September, 2010 at 1:31 pm by Mike Kebby
I met the guys doing this the other week…I’m really excited about this game.
It’s early days yet to be sharing a release date, as it’s still got to go through QA etc, but it is coming, and shouldn’t be too long.

when will we be seeing the HEAVY RAIN DLC. that was promised
Posted on 8 September, 2010 at 1:33 pm by Mike Kebby
The team have been concentrating on the Move edition, to be honest I don’t know what’s going on with DLC.

I think PSP’s deliberately quiet this week as Kingdom Hearts wants to shine at retail
.
Oh well, I’ll take a beer drinking flying hamster this week. The fact that I have to buy something I’ve wanted for ages makes this a poor update – for my wallet!

As a PSPGO owner – NIGHTMARE!!!
I was going to buy VC 2 anyway.
Is this a sign that the PSP 2 is on its way?

No PSP games? Wasn’t KH:Birth by Sleep supposed to be released this week? Not even a mention?
And don’t tell me Disney, after released lots of commercial PSone and PSP games in the store, doesn’t like digital distribution.

Mafia II – Jimmy’s Vendetta (£6.29/€7.99) Rating: PEGI 18
Availability: Not available in Czech Republic, POLAND or Russia
Why is not available in Poland? I understand that maybe it’s not compatible with Polish version, but I have Collector’s Edition in English (same version like in other countries), which is officialy available in Poland, and now I need to buy PSN Card on eBay.co.uk and buy this DLC on UK Store, because even my credit card is not working in this store

Mike: “I can’t imagine high-street retailers chase publishers for content if it’s a quiet week either though”
But I bought a PSPGo with the promise that the most of PSP games already published will be released in digital format. I’m still waiting the miracle.
Posted on 8 September, 2010 at 1:36 pm by Mike Kebby
If I could, I’d get every PSP physical title and put it onto the store myself, but unfortunately it’s not as easy as that. It does frustrate me too
47
Posted on 8 September, 2010 at 1:15 pm by Chaosprower
And I want to report false advertesing, at a E3 trailer KH:Birth by Sleep was shown on a PSPgo. And now everybody is saying that it won’t be released for Go.
Posted on 8 September, 2010 at 1:39 pm by Mike Kebby
I’m trying to find out what the deal is with this title…I want to see it on the store too!!
Nobody has said it isn’t coming though.
