fire sale, fire sale!
PSP GO would have been a fantastic piece of hardward had Sony done it right from the beginning.
-Mandatory digitial download support from publishers who release UMD games
-Larger internal hard drive
-Same USB accessories to the PSP3000.

You want me to trade my PSP-2000 for a PSP go? Well then, convince Square Enix to put the following games on the PSN store: Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII and Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. Also, convince Konami to put the following game on the PSN store: Silent Hill Origins.
All the others games I have are already in the store, so I could rebuy them. I will not buy a PSP go however, if I can’t have all the UMD games I own in the digital format.
Better yet, just get all PSP games on the store. If the future is digital, there’s really no other option.

Yeah, this smacks of Sony’s desperation to prop up a failing product, just like the new “offer” trying to promote the PS+ service.
Just go to the PS Store blog posts and look at the number of PSP Go owners practically begging Sony for more games to come out. DOesn’t matter how attractive this deal may seem, you would have to be crazy to buy a PSP Go.
The iPhone (and new MS phone with XBox live integration) own the mobile gaming market now. Sony have been left behind.

@56
It’s not Sony they should be begging. Read any response to any comment about games on the PSN store. It’s the publishers.

LOL I just can’t stop laughing; in simple terms: PSP GO IS A FAIL!
In Australia the sales are horrific and not worth explaining. I have a slim PSP and guess what, it lies around under dust. No satisfying titles and I just lost interest. Nintendo is the warrior for handheld consoles as well as the iPod Touch. Why are the games sooo expensive on PSN store? You do realize PSP Go owners that you will be forking out full priced games!

Dude, honestly I regret buying the pspgo on launch day. How come I miss out on this offer. So unfair.

november 2010 – buy a psp go = 50€ less and 10 games for free
October 2009 – buy a psp go = 250€ and gran turismo for free
I have the psp go since launch, this is not fair

I wonder how many of the moaners actually have a PSP Go. Hardware wise, this thing blows the old PSP away completely.
There are less titles available on the store, but still HUNDREDS, and it is actually an easily portable device.
I would never go back to the old PSP. Physical media is dying. Long live digital.

I bought my TV for £2000 six years ago. I could get a better TV now for £600. I demand the difference!

I have to disagree with you gheywood. I have a 3000 and I’d never consider getting a go… It’s a pretty cool piece of kit but so are all PSP’s and I’ve picked up VC2 (£25), KH:BBS (£30) and imported Ys 7 special edition for £35, including shipping… That’s why I’d never touch the go. Cheaper games, more choice and the option to import and special editions of some games.

If all UMD games made it onto the store and the prices were not a complete rip of i would have a PSPgo, but the support for this console from Sony has been laughable.

the pspgo games are priced higher than they are in the shops! sure some people may have more money than sense but i think generally consumers are a little bit smarter than that
Also after buying 20 odd psn games im begining to wonder what happens to them in the future.. untill sony give confirmation they will at least be carried over and playable on ps4 i think iv had enough of digital downloads

They must really be flying off the shelves. Yeah, it is a rip-off and the games are too. On top of the fact that not every new game even comes out on the store.

to the people “demanding” a price drop: did you know if you pulled the value of these games off the new-price of a PSPgo you’d end up with a €12.09 difference?
yes! if all the games in this offer are games you’d buy anyway, you could say the PSPgo only costs €12.09(sony says the games are worth €250, but i did my own checking and right now the PSN price of those games adds up to €237,90)
also, the hardware of the go is quite expensive, it costs sony more to build a PSPgo than it does to build a PSP3000
it’s a good deal, if only the processing of the codes was done a little more efficient.
people should get the codes “within a month, usually within 1 week” although in reality it’s “within 2 months, usually 1 month”.
there are people who waited 50! days for the code (i’m still waiting @ 15 days right now)

It’s a shame these 10 games aren’t selectable. There are a couple of good ones, but most are terrible! Pursuit Force, AVATAR, NFS, Fifa?!
Nah. That’s not cool.
If they;
Let us pick 10 games
Did something about the horribly limited amount of games on PSN
Lowered the cost of PSN games dramatically
Lowered the price of the PSP Go by half.
… Then we’d be onto a winner.
I’ve also been reading around the internets how Digital Distribution doesn’t work. It does, it just needs to be a good store like Steam or GoG.

How long does it take to get the code, I’ve been waiting a few weeks now and I still haven’t got it.
75
Posted on 19 September, 2010 at 12:00 pm by Marvin-R
it takes anywhere between 1 hour and 2 months.
but if it’s been more than 1 month, start calling sony because they are supposed to give you the code within a month.
@jimmirock: that’s plain unreasonable.
if they’d give you 10 games of choice, and half off on the PSPgo, they wouldn’t be able to make any kind of profit.
making the PSPgo any bit cheaper would mean making a big loss on hardware sales, adding to it that you will be buying 10 games less(which is a lot considering how little good stuff there is on PSN) they wouldn’t get any income from software sales either.
i do agree though on the availability of games, or rather PSN content.
as if the european PSN isn’t limited enough already compared to the US and JP PSN, several countries have to miss out on complete sections! (no movies, only a few soundtracks from 2 games as music, and no comic books here in the dutch PSN)
