I don’t see an HD button on the embedded video. It’s there on the US blog though.

Hmm, not sure why. In the meantime you can hit the US blog or Insomniac’s youtube account (www.youtube.com/insomgames) – for the HD.

I love it when devs just show they’re game in stead of spamming is with tons of gameplayless trailers (which are nice too to set the tone or create intrest)
Game itself looks awesome. Can’t wait to get my hands on it, altough I fear my trusted Lego and LBP-co op partner (my girlfriend) will have a tough time with this. Gameplay looks quite difficult for more casual users. Will you guys have attention for that with casual modes or maybe move suport? This game looks great to introduce new players to ratchet and clank, while still giving the hardcore a nice challenge
Posted on 10 September, 2010 at 5:34 pm by James Stevenson
We are still working out how to handle that, but have some cool ideas. Needless to say though, I think she’ll be able to pick it up. We’ve been testing with folks of all age and skill levels.

Can’t wait for this.
Will the game support multiple PSN sign-in for trophy purposes?
Will we be hearing more about Resistance 3 this year?
Posted on 10 September, 2010 at 5:58 pm by James Stevenson
Yes. We will support multiple PSN sign-in for sure.
And on your second question, I’d say the outlook is good.

Will it be possible to have eg. 2 local players and 2 online player at the same time?
btw, seems better than I expect, nice.
Posted on 10 September, 2010 at 5:57 pm by James Stevenson
Yes. You can have any combination of local and online players.

It’s looking really fantastic. I can never get enough Ratchet & Clank.
I was wondering, when it comes to character selection, is it decided by the order people join the game, e.g. Player 1 is Ratchet, Player 2 is Clank, or is it set up that you can choose to play as the character you want regardless of your position? I’d say some of us would love nothing more than to go through the whole thing as Nefarious.
I can’t wait to see more of all your projects!
Posted on 10 September, 2010 at 6:01 pm by James Stevenson
Nope – you can totally pick who you want to play as.
Dibs on Qwark!

Hello! I for one am a huge Ratchet and Clank fan who presently possess all titles released thus far, the best just as the lesser good on all Playstation platforms.
I truthfully was skeptical about R&C All 4 One at first sight. At GC10, i was actually expecting the introduction of a ‘real’ sequel, and not some PSN title focused primarily on co-op. Indeed, this new title seemed much more targeted for the casual audience rather than the hardcore one who have been growing up alongside Ratchet and his pal Clank. However, this footage has slightly changed my original opinion on the game. I cannot wait to get my hands on it in order to personally test it out, and finally obtain a concrete and solid opinion. But whatever the turnout, whether the final build is hugely praised or ridiculed by reviewers, as long as it is signed by Insomniac, it will be mine sooner or later.
I would simply like you to answer these few questions:
- Will a demo or trial will be available prior to launch
- Is the game offering both local and online co-op
- Is the HUD finalized? It presently doesn’t seem like it
- Lastly, when are you releasing the Ratchet & Clank HD Collection
Cheers,
Keep up the remarkable work, you guys are the best!
Posted on 10 September, 2010 at 6:29 pm by James Stevenson
Firstly- thanks for writing. And just to note, this is not a PSN title. This is a full length blu-ray Ratchet & Clank adventure.
I would simply like you to answer these few questions:
- Will a demo or trial will be available prior to launch
Likely, but too early to say.
- Is the game offering both local and online co-op
Yes. Drop-in Drop-out with any combination of local and online players.
- Is the HUD finalized? It presently doesn’t seem like it
No.
- Lastly, when are you releasing the Ratchet & Clank HD Collection
If Sony decides they want to get a team to do that, we’d support it 100%. It’d be really cool!

WOW!
Never expected co-op points coz da co-op ALONE waz amazin! XD
This’ll be a defo buy for me in 2011, but an instant pre-order if it ALSO had Competitive Multiplayer =P
And there should be some boss fights where u hav ur own camera, otherwise da whole platformin should be of da director’s co-op (like GoW 3)

Thanks for the kind words, glad you’re pumped to check it out!

Is there going to be any other unlokable characters to play or just these four specific ones?
Posted on 10 September, 2010 at 6:44 pm by James Stevenson
We’re just focusing on Ratchet, Clank, Qwark and Nefarious at this time, but ya never know.

Posted on 10 September, 2010 at 6:51 pm by HairyCornFlake
Does this have a full single player campaign or is it co-op only?
Posted on 10 September, 2010 at 7:00 pm by James Stevenson
The campaign is co-op. But you can play alone if you desire, and you’ll be able to pick your character and a buddy character that will be controlled by an AI.

Looks fantastic as always, James. The graphics look incredible considering there’s a cartoony element to them, the new camera looks interesting too, not sure if I’d like it when I’m playing but as a cinematic, it works well.
Keep up the brilliant work guys!
Posted on 10 September, 2010 at 7:44 pm by James Stevenson
Thanks for the kind words. I think when you get your hands on the game you’ll be surprised how fun it is. We’re pretty hardcore here and are having a blast with it.

i would like to start off by thanking you guys for giving us Crack in Time, one the best single player games i’ve ever played
Back on topic, the co-op gameplay is looking great! Is there’s going to be an ‘Insane’ difficulty mode for those of us who loves a good challenge?
Posted on 10 September, 2010 at 7:50 pm by James Stevenson
We are definitely focused on replay. We are still working out difficulties and such, but we’re considering a lot of options so stay tuned.

Love Ratchet and Clank.
But i have some questions around this game.
1- The story has always been a part of Ratchet games. Will this one have a good story or just platforming without purpose?
2- This game looks way to easy. Is this game challenging? I hope it is a love a good challenge.
Posted on 10 September, 2010 at 7:51 pm by James Stevenson
1 – This is full-length Blu ray Ratchet & Clank adventure and there will be a ton of story and cinematics as always.
2 – there will be challenges for better players, plus we don’t have the revive mechanic in this demo that forces you to revive your fallen comrades.

Put Diruptor and Spyro games for PStore Europe if you guys can
)
Also,is this coming out on Q3? I cant wait for this and Resistance 3
You guys are my favourite ^_^

All we are saying for now is Autumn 2011.
As far as those old Universal games, it’s up for them to put them on PSN. Though I think all 3 Spyros are on the US store (which you CAN access with a bit of ingenuity).

Well i did find my old Spyro 2 + 3 games and my PS1 (i have a 60gig anyway:p) so i guess its ok.But they’re in bad shape so i dont think Spyro2 will work.Would be great if Universal put them on PSN ^_^
I have another question,anything on M0VE support?

Game looks good and fun but wish they could do something about those healthbars, maybe put them in the top corners of the screen or make them semi-transparent. They mess up the aesthetics.
Looking forward to some news on R3.

Just a tip Insomniac Games, I’ve just been playing through quest for booty and there seems to be a huge difficulty spike between the easy & medium difficulty’s. It was impossible an medium so i had to switch to easy, just hoping medium could be a little…you know…..easier

I’m a huge fan of the Resistance series but have never really hit it on with Ratchet & Clank.
The current Ps3 coop games don’t really appeal to me as they should and it’s good to see that the geniuses at Insomniac Games are working on a new one.
That beibg said, the game looks amazing, Day 1 and Thank you

Looks amazing as always. I loved every Insomniac Game since Spyro on the PS1. This will be a first day buy for me, and its the second time my wife can play along, too ^^
Resistance 3 is also coming. I don’t like Ego-Shooters, but I bought Resistance despite, just to look what you can make of it. I loved the story mode, I liked the coop mode, but I didn’t like the competitive mode. That 10.000 Kill Trophy in R2 was my only bad experience with your games so far. It almost ruined the game for me, as I wanted that platinum trophy. I really hope R3 will not have such time consuming online trophies again…

I played and love every singel player Rachet and Clank game on the PS3 (yep I´m new) but I am so not into mp or co-op. I know you can play it on your own but I´m not convinced it´ll be the same fun experiance as with the other games. I don´t have the feeling this will expend the R&C story.

This game looks awesome, defo gonna buy it. But I got three quick questions, are you guys going to make more games like the future series or has it finished? Cause i really want to know about Ratchets past and stuff. Will Angella Cross be in the new games? since shes a lombax and one of my favourate characters lol. And lastly, is there a RYNO 6 somewhere in the Ratchet and Clank universe?

When i first look at the trailer for this game i thought the was going to be the worst installment in the series, but after i saw this i have had a change of heart. i have always loved ratchet and clank since the first game, in fact i sold my xbox 360 and got a ps3 just to play them, i have finished every single ratchet game ever made. Always been a big fan of ratchet and even spyro games but now I am SOOOOOOOO ANGRY i just the other day i decided that i wanted to play every single ratchet game again but my ratchet and clank (the first one) doesn’t work. i cannot find a pal version of the game ANYWHERE not even pre-owned does anyone know where i could get one?
btw this game looks awsome
