That was quite a fun week, what with PlayStation Move launching across the PAL regions and TGS happening over in Japan. What was your favourite?
Those of you in the UK might want to flick on the TV at 8:20am on Sunday morning. Channel 4 is starting a series of six shows called GT Academy, taking you through a competition where the best Gran Turismo drivers from 17 countries competed in real life racing challenges for the chance to drive for the Nissan PlayStation racing team in the GT4 European Cup. Looks like a lot of fun. Dubai is perhaps the most interesting place my PlayStation career has taken me to.

It was a brilliant week. I loved all the Team ICO news and I’m really glad the Collection will be 3D, I can’t wait! Could you not give me a copy early?
Of course all this was counteracted when I heard that one of the head honchos on the PlayStation Blog had never played ICO or Shadow of the Colossus *cough*James*cough*

Eek! I know I’ve let you down but I’m going to fix that next spring. I’ve never seen The Godfather either.

I liked the Ni No Kuni a lot. Great game!
The Ico and Shadow Of The Colossus HD Collection is totally a must buy!
Last Guardian seems pretty fantastic.
After Bayonetta, the new DMC didn’t seem that good.
The trailer for the new ace combat looks cool.
Dead Space 2 multiplayer reveal is like Left 4 Dead Space, which is good
But the one I was really surprise for it’s originality was El Shaddai, you guys should cover that one, and Asura’s Wrath, that game is crazy over the top good.

I like the look of Ni No Kuni too. Hope it comes to Europe.

This week has reminded me why I’m a Sony fan – Super strong week with great games and great hardware all over the place.
MOVE launch went especially smooth and realising how many games I already own will get a Free MOVE update was just fantastic.
The feeling of MOVE support by developers got across wonderfully, with previews and patches for MOVE games popping up everywhere, and what great work as always by the 1st party Sony team to show off the new tech.
Sports Champions is absolutely a stunning game. You don’t want sports to get more real
Don’t get me started on GT5…Literally everything you could ask for AND MORE is in there and not just in there for the sake of it, it all looks absolutely stunning.
The Last Guardian, beautiful as always.
Team ICO collection. I’ll raise a hell yeah to that.
Under all this busy times, there is still news for PSN games like Blade Kitten and Lara Croft as well.
I absolutely love supporting a company like yours, hard working not to find backdoor ways to cheat us out of our money but hard working with the mindset of “if we give them good stuff, they’ll pay for it”- This is why your fans are so loyal.
Have super weekend Sony team, you deserve it!

Thanks for the kind words. Here’s hoping that the games and services we have in the pipeline are going to maintain your excitement.

Hey James, I was wondering if you could shed light on echochrome ii’s release date? That, and The Fight Lights out? Those are the two games that I’m getting Move for, more info would be very much appreciated!
Also, when spring (autumn down under) rolls around, you’re in for one hell of a treat with Ico/SotC

Hello James, could you possibly don your investigator’s cap and find out if Ni no kuni, the Level 5/Ghibli game shown at TGS, will be localised and getting an EU release please? Odd that not one reporter at TGS seemed to have asked this.

A damn fine month indeed. I don’t think anyone would not be in concurrence.
The content for PlayStation Move on the PSN store has really supported its launch. I would of been feeling rather disappointed if we only had the retail games available, but with the addition of Flight Control HD, Planet Minigolf, Tumble and Hustle Kings, the launch of Move really has got some firm legs behind it.
I also recommend anyone with Move to try out the games above. Not that expensive, but provide a fantastic, fun experience.
Aside from that, it was also smashing to hear about the Team ICO collection. Some of the most spectacular games on a console if you ask me.
Thanks for the round up James. How have you found the recent buzz in September?

I just read on the MonkeyPaw games blog that the Imports section for Japanese games will only be available on the US PS Store because, “They [SCEE] weren’t interested at first but perhaps when they see the fan reaction, they will allow us to distribute in Europe.”
Seriously. How many boneheaded decisions can SCEE make in one generation? Just let them distribute the damn games.
Posted on 20 September, 2010 at 8:33 am by Mike Kebby
I’m going to field this one, as I was going to look into this situation further. As far as I’m aware nobody has declined imports on the SCEE store…in fact I don’t believe a decision has ever been made, hence why I’m now putting myself on the case

My best Game has to be the Sword Fighting in Sports Champions, so accurate and precise with 2 sticks with lots to go through, I gotta say that that would be epic in a RPG like Two Worlds 2 or Oblivion. Cant waij for Sorcery either, now I know why Move has so much potential but the Navi may take some getting used to
Posted on 20 September, 2010 at 8:36 am by Mike Kebby
Personally I can’t get enough of the Frisbee Golf. It was tied with Archery, but seeing as the Archery gets very tough in Silver Cup I much prefer Frisbee Golf now

I’ve had a real urge to buy Move lately, just got exam results so I’ve amassed enough money too. I think I’ll wait to see if it’ll be supported down the line though…

There seem to be a problem with the patches for PAIN and High Velocity Bowling. They Move part isn’t working with either of the games. Is that a problem you have heard of before and does the same situation appear with Eyepet and Hustle Kings?

Hey James!
Great week was it!!!
I have 2 questions and i hope you can answer them! (the first is really important!)
1* I already had the Pseye but in the xmb-menu i can’t set the volume higher then 3! My neighbour bought a new one and his volume is set on 5 or higher! Now i can’t use it for chat because the volume is to low! Can this please be fixed?
2* Is it possible to put a demo on the store from Eyepet? On the disc it is already but because i had the camera already i bought seperate Move supplies. I maybe wanne buy Eyepet Move, but first i wanne try it.
Really hope you answer…..especially because of the first question!
Greetings and have a nice day!

It is such a shame that Indian users are missing so much.. When are you guys going to launch in India ??
We are not paying anything less than anyone else out there ?? Then why ignore us ? Yes Indian market is very small compared to europian markets but come on ?
