Actually Ross, can you tell the Sony team to give us more notice on these things? Although I don’t need to use the services affected during the maintenance periods, I would like to know sooner. I would think others would appreciate some more notice too.

you do realize that for about 4 years now we kept having the same small updates with and we are hardly getting anything the same time the U.S is getting them and with those JAP ps1 imports i have a E:mail from monkeypaw games

Thanks for your support of MonkeyPaw. We appreciate your interest and comments. We have been in discussion with SCEE (Sony Europe) for a few weeks and we are getting closer to agreement. Dealing with a large corporation like Sony takes time. We offered them the games at the same time as in the US but they rejected. Now they want it but it still takes time to get through legal.
So I’m pretty confident we’ll be able to bring our games to Europe (although each game is dependent on the original license-holder) within the next few months.

you have 2 agree with me that we could have gotten them at the same time as the U.S it was the same with the backbreaker demo that a posted a year back that was held back because off sony and not the publishers.

when you present info like that, then i have no complaints at all and do agree with you that SCEE are obviously shooting themselves in the foot and losing sales if developers and publishers are coming back with answers like that. Dont get me wrong, i get as frustrated as you or any other playstation owner when content doesnt come to our store but really what can we do? Im sure the example you have posted is an exception and not all game makers have this trouble getting their stuff on the store (well i hope not).

I suppose only time will tell.

Fair enough, I’ve clearly mixed up a few of your posts, and I apologise for my mistake. But you haven’t acknowledged the rest of what I’ve said, and im clearly not the only one who has this opinion of you. What do you really think you will achieve by continuously complaining every week? There are countries that dont get half the content you get in your store, some dont even have the privelage of a store. The point is, there are people who would be, and are, happy to get content at all, yet you complain because there is nothing that interests you. Youve got to realise you are not the only one in this position. There are other people on this blog that are also not happy, but their posts seem more polite, yours just seem angry all the time, and the chances are your annoyed with SCEE as a whole, but its Ross whos reading and replying to everybodys posts. Treat people how you’d expect to be treated, you might make some progress.

Hey i have some feedback!

I think all content should have an extra line in the details area (where the price goes and the name of the publisher) stating the game it is rleated too. Some DLC i see i have no idea what game it is for and i have to work it out via the image or description, and sometime even that doesn’t help.

Today the Dead Nation theme “City of the Dead” was a bit vauge too, i know its a theme but it adds a little more consistancy too the blend and people can see right away what game the theme is based off.

the reason i state the same stuff is cause it feels more like they stop caring 2 give us the content was given 2 the U.S store a year ago we never hear any info on what progress it is making we never
see any off the games either yet everytime there is a request on the U.S blog and they get it within the shotest amount off time and you do realize that when they announced the ps1 games for ps3 SCEE reaction was(we haden’t planned on getting you this content now that you guys are asking for it we will look into this) in other words they weren’t even planning on giving us any ps1 let alone all the other stuff U.S got that year.
same goes for exlusive content haven’t you guys notice that U.S has a lot off stuff for their store only and we have nothing exlusive.

its a difficult situation, obviously monkeypaw have tried to be honest with their reply to you but at the same time you dont want to go and throw that reply in sonys face and cause monkeypaw any more difficulty with their content in the future. Im sure Ross will read your post and act upon it, i suppose thats all we as a community can ask for.

I must say though that i personally am greatful for his input and replies in the blog, just as i was with Mike before him. I might not be the most active poster on here but I hope this continues as i consider it to be one of the most valuble and encouraging sources of information that we have and it would be a damned shame to lose it or not appreciate its value to the PS community.

ya but my view is a bit more objective srry 2 be like that but i never had the ps1 so i would love 2 replay most off the classic that i played on the pc and as you know the only ppl who can make that possible is sony at the moment and i do like sony for it’s diversity but i feel that they are focusing 2 hard on the U.S market with hardcore games and every new game that is coming well the E.U market feels way 2 casual if you ask me most ps3 get sold in E.U but then we get higher price’s for games less games less content overal and i have seen the japan store update they might not get as much as us but atleast they get full games they have almost te whole ps1 cataloge

and what [DELETED] me off the most was the PSPGO scam like i mentioned don’t sell a stupid handheld and then not deliver on the games cause they did say they were going 2 release ever UMD as digital and i have seen so little games for psp that they should refund ppl who bought the piece off [DELETED].

Now you put it like that I guess you do have a fair point, we arent treated equally in that respect. However, as Burkatron81 has said, I’m sure this instance with monkeypaw is a rare occurrance. Still if theyve been offered it then why reject it? It does make you wonder. I have seen conflicting statements between SCEE and other publishers before but I tend to just let it drop. And I did read not so long ago about that David Reese saying how we like to wait. To be fair we dont have a choice but to wait, some longer than others unfortunately. Totally second what Burkatron81 has said about the Heads up posts though, Mike, and now Ross, both did and still do sterling jobs answering everybodys questions and queiries. And dgnfly, im not trying to cause conflict with you, I’m just trying to understand your frustration, and at the same time try to let you know how you come across in alot of your posts.

Yeah I bought Undead Nightmare,, I started RDR and it’s NOT working!! After searching on the internet, it’s probably because I bought RDR in Hong Kong on vacation….. So I just wasted 10euro TNX great Sony, good for making the DLC region locked without clearly indicating….

With an Xbox Live Silver Account you CAN download Pegi 16 and Pegi 18 Demos!!!! Now Online are 61 Pegi 16 Demos and 50 Pegi 18 Demos.
Differece is Gold User are getting Demos earlier and some Demos exclusive. If you don´t believe me, i make a Video and send you via Mail.

This is why People laugh about the Germany Store. And i moan every week here! I would understand this for Banned Games but no for Demos, Themes, Videos.

SCEE must have a legal departmend. So they have to look into this!

About the reward thing… I get the feeling it’s going to be U.S. only (again) I wish Sony would stop trowing features around and get the current ones to the rest of the world. (video, comic store and others)

I waited until almost 9pm UK time to download the theme as I didn’t want to be in the Beta (still have KZ2 here in a pile of around 70 -seriously- games I’ve get to get around to playing.

However for some reason I was sent a code on Monday, so I have one for anyone who wants it.
A couple of rules to make it fair for all people in ALL timezones-

I don’t think negotiating a deal takes 10 minutes. I think contacting the devs via email to express interest takes 10 minutes.

Ross says: SCEA Store serves 2 really big territories in one or two languages with normally one version of the content.

SCEE serves 33 territories in 8 languages, with content that sometimes has different versions of the same software all under one product that has to detect where you’re downloading it from, plus all those different Stores have to be checked and content tested for all those different versions.

Is it not obvious why it takes SCEE longer to organise a publish? I’m not trying to diminish the fantastic work that SCEA do, and it is fantastic, but we really do have a lot to contend with here.

So what you are saying is that there is more work to do but you don’t have enough resources? Should Sony, due to the workload, give you more employers?

Can i ask why Croatia didnt get some of the content, and will it be availible later? sorry if it has been asked already…

I rarely use PSN store nowadays since the playstation plus changes. The content in the store is simply not good enough, not for plus members..not for non members. Also, no Super Meat Boy…really?..Sony…really?
