PlayStation.Blog Recap

That was a fun week! Thursday was the best: I got to ‘shake hands with Bigfoot’ by finally playing Duke Nukem Forever in the morning (more on that next week) and then everything went loco in the afternoon when four announcements appeared in less than two hours. It was the good kind of stressful. I was going to shut the curtains and indulge myself in an old obsession – PES Master League – this weekend, but now I can’t. Ho hum. Here’s your recap:

I’m sure many of you guys will have spotted fan videos of some of the amazing creations coming out of the current LittleBigPlanet 2 beta trial – and if not, next week I’ll be linking to some of the most utterly awesome of them. In the meantime though, here’s a brand new official LBP 2 video to finish off your week – Bounce Pads!

This is one of a series of videos highlighting some of the cool individual gameplay features of LBP 2. Bounce Pads might seem like a simple addition, but they bring a whole range of new fun – from classic platforming action to more adventurous uses. Look out for plenty more of these featurettes to come in the future.

DC Universe Online Comic-Con Trailer

Countries: , , , ,

I know that a lot of you are bummed that we have to delay DC Universe Online to 2011, but we think it’s really gonna pay off. With the delay and expanding beta, it will give us a chance to test and scale our servers and take feedback from the players so we can deliver a killer experience when the servers go live.

Just in time for the New York Comic Con, here’s a new sizzle trailer for DC Universe Online! This one’s got it all: Heroes, Villains, Icons, Combat, the whole shebang!

Also, the official DC Universe Online Facebook page will be showcasing a live stream of the DCUO panel discussion at 6:30 pm Eastern Time featuring legendary artist Jim Lee, DC Universe Online Game Director Chris Cao and DCUO Art Director Mark Anderson. Don’t miss it!

The Friday Debate – Spill Your Brains

Countries: , , , ,

While most pundits are too busy receiving personal compliments from PRs to think about their end of year reviews, I’m going to call it early: 2010 is the year of the zombie.

You can’t get enough of the undead, it seems. With Dead Rising 2 just released, Dead Nation and Dead Space 2 (Wikipedia says it counts as a zombie game and it has the word ‘Dead’ in it), zombie modes being included in Call of Duty: Black Ops and Red Dead Redemption and more minis than you can shake a necrotic limb at, rotting flesh has never been so fashionable.

Which zombie games do you like or are most looking forward to, and what makes a good zombie?

Perhaps most importantly, what’s your zombie plan?
