I am especially happy to see Britney Spears’s ‘Lucky’ after not seeing Britney for quite a while I had given up hope that my favourite Britney song would make it on, and this week it is!!!

I was hoping for some Dance add-on considering that the game comes out this Friday and the next upadte for dance add on will be in 2 weeks

I must admit that the negative comments augment as the weeks pass by … I hope things will change. I think they are preety decent.

hm not really the best update. I wish the updates would have more new chart hits like katy perry, The Black Eyed Peas, or new hits! from Britney like womanizer or circus, or more songs from timbaland, One Republic,Rihanna or Kesha!

And a big problem on Singstar is that Singstar has not the option to create playlists. It’s so important because when you want to make a 80s Party or another Party with one Theme, there are also the songs from the singstore and some songs that you don’t want to sing! And I don’t want to delete all my Singstore songs for one party. I think that is the big problem of Singstar on Ps3!

Well this has answered all the gripes from last week. Best update since i’ve been following this.

Hey i got a problem…again.
Last year my 60gb PS3, died, so i got a slim one, and got the problem with my singstar songs. And last month my ps3 slim got another problem, it kind of scratched my discs, so i got it to warranty, and they return it to me with all the stuff, so, when i tried to play singstar, the bought songs all of them stopped when it was about to start, and then the score board appeared, like there was nothing, i erased them, and tried to re-download them, but i got the same message as i did when i change to the slim one, that it0′s associated with another system. But i’m living in Mexico, so what can i do. Plus another problem. I have 3 singstar accounts. the USA ona, used it before the Mexican one was activated. Then i got the Mexican the one i use for American store. And i got a UK account i’m using for European songs, my sister in Europe is sending me the PSN Cards. So, how should i do to have back all my songs?
Please help me

While I was slightly disappointed to see only three guitar updates, there’s one of them I was really looking for (Fall Out Boy)

And I am not complaining about releasing the Dire Straits either!

Can you answer the following questions :
- Do you have an idea how many Guitar and Dance song upgrades will be released on average every two weeks?
- Will you be releasing new songs and their guitar/dance upgrades at the same time (for example, if you’d release Evanescence’s “Call Me When You’re Sober” or Dire Straits’s “Money For Nothing”, it would be very nice if the song and the guitar upgrade would be released at the same moment)
- Now that a Guitar component of the game (and a Dance component soon) has been released, may we also see more guitar driven songs appear in the store (still hoping for some Nightwish/Within Tempation/Evanescence )

Many thanks for the Guitar release, I’m enjoying it very much, and I’m looking forward to Friday for the Dance release.

Do you have any news (good or not) about french songs in the singstore? Otherwise, is a disc with french content scheduled for the french market ? There used to be so many french songs during the ps2 era… What happened with the PS3 and its singstore??

hey singstar people well done.after 6 (six) updates you finally found a track for me yay.on the downside my singstar disc is still shattered into 12 pieces.if it were the case that you had managed to get 5 tracks i would have considered rebuying the singstar disc as it may have been worthwhile.but the fact it is only one track i think ill hold fire for now

This time, I’ll buy 2 or 3 songs : Sugababes, Mamas and the Papas and, to be confirmed, Shakespears Sisters.
We’re also looking forward to singing some more recent hits like Adam Lambert’s “For your entertainment” & “Whataya want from me”, Katy Perry’s “Teenage dream”, Rihanna’s “Only girl”, Angus & Julia Stone’s “And the boys” & “Big jet plane”, Taio Cruz & Kylie Minogue’s “Higher”, Lady Antebellum’s “Need you know”… . Oldies are good but newer stuff is(sometimes) better !!

also to echo another poster the top bands dont get on singstar just your typical karaoke drivel that makes it on here if i wanted to sing downtown by petula clark id have went to the crappy pub karaoke sang it there one time and saved myself a nicker

Okay here goes:

1) No Beatles tracks
2) There actually 2 Elvis Presley songs (I agree there should be more)
3) 1 MJ song is represented on Vol 3, there are a bunch of Jackson 5 songs on the Singstore
4) Abba has a whole disc dedicated to them, but I agree it should also be on the store (I assume this is what you mean’t)
5) Madonna, well nothing from a PS3 specific, but you could use PS2 discs (disc swapping) as I believe there is song/s on them.

As for the update I think it is alright. A solid update, but yes for younger audiences it may not be considered that great.

Who cares give us a GT5 release date(or even better, give us THE GAME ITSELF!) as you promised. Yeah, you promised a date before the end of oktober. Thanx.

It’s a nice update……but not if you buy all the singstar discs!
A lot of the songs are ripped from the discs…..it would be nice to see some NEW songs that are not on a disc. (Steps,Madonna,Kylie,BEP,Beyonce etc)

In any case…..thanks for the update and see you in 2 weeks! ( or sooner with Dance updares?)

I was expecting far more guitar add ons in this update. Please release the dance and guitar patch next update cause I am dying to try the guitar songs that are in the store and I dont have singstar guitar.

Agree with #24 .. This is a TERRIBLE update for people who already own the discs. I long for the day that all of the stuff from the discs is on the store tyhen London Studios might have to pull their finger out and actualy produce new songs for us to buy .. or maybe they’re hoping the PS4 will be out then and they can start all over again and rake another smkall fortune from us having to buy all the music from scratch again!

I really don’t believe all this crap about licensing issues from disc to store when so many of them make appearences every 2 weeks, and since the store is rubbish and doesnt tell you whether the songs have previously appeared on a disc – it’s another trawl through my spreadsheet only to find yet again it is an old song from a disc passed off as a new release!

Why the hell all these complaints? You should be happy with what you get. These people who create songs aren’t god. Just a fingersnap and … there’s the song. I don’t think so. There’s a lot of work on every song to create, the lines and pitches. They do their work good and everyone stop complaining. You won’t get far with this.

I just can’t get enough of 30 Seconds to Mars as well as Britney… Can’t wait to get them… Nina, when are you going to release add-on for dance songs in the Singstore? Thank you!

In march 2010 Nordisk Film (If you are not aware, Nordisk Film is the distributor of PlayStation in the nordic countries) opened singstarparty.dk where they asked SingStar fans to posts what songs they would like to see on the SingStore. They also posted a “your oppinion matters”-poll where we could vote between 3 different new SingStar games that we would like to play.

Now it has been 8 months and we have not heard anything from Nordisk Film / Sony / SingStar about the oppinions given on the site. So I was wondering if you Nina knew what was going on? (I figured that you as SingStar Content Manager would be the one to ask)

There is Singstar Turkish Party for PS2 in Germany. You can play that on PS3, and it’s also very cheap by now (at least on the German Amazon.de).

Nina can you reply my comment? Is a playlist function planned? And will be songs from Black Eyed Peas, Rihanna.. available?

I have just got into Singstar – very late I know!! But really enjoying it! The thing that really sold it to me is the heavier songs… is there any chance of some more coming? More so some more of Avenged Sevenfold, Korn, Incubus et the like. Maybe even throw in some Machine Head or Foo Fighters too, if you are feeling generous

How it is that there are no songs from the backstreet boys? They have those timeless cheesy songs that (i think) would fit singstar’s demographic perfectly. Justin Timberlake would probably sell great too. As a guy, i personally would enjoy hiphop tracks from eminem, but from the many singstar parties I’ve held in my livingroom I know that BSB and Justin (timberlake or Bieber) are in high demand. Lady gaga too, but that should be a given by now .

Could you please fix the mistakes in the lyrics of the Lady Gaga songs. Monst songs have some wrong lyrics in them, like for example in Poker Face it says “She has got no love, nobody” though it’s actually “She has got me like nobody” It’s really annoying and Poker Face is just one example!

First of all i’m not complaining…..i just own almost all the discs (ps2,ps3) so these are no good/new updates!
At second…..don’t believe everything you read on the internet! The pictures are too many and none of them has a score….they are all on 000000.

Hello My annoyance with these songs r that i have all singstar disks and alot of your new songs i have on them already, so for me there not new at all and might be possible i could end up buying a song i already have by mistake, Please put more new content up for the wider Ss community and not just the small section who don’t have these songs thanks.

It’s disappointing that you can’t buy the Guitar updates for sdisc-based songs, but I imagine it’s difficult for the game to know what disc you own, without having some way of logging them all.

Actually – that’s a point. Any chance of logging all our discs so *all* our songs appear on the carousel, then we get prompted to switch discs as necessary? An icon could prewarn is if we are about to select an “other disc” song…

Is there any way you could ask the technical team about a downloading a patch so we can turn the volume down for the ratings system after each song ie: Tone deaf – lead singer.There is a volume control for almost everything except this & everytime i have a singstar party i have to stay beside my ps3 almost all night so i can turn it down when the rating comes on after the song & turn it up again when the next song starts…..It seems as though the rating system volume is louder than the actual songs themselves???

Sorry, yes. There was a patch out there that fixed this – are you all up to date with all your discs? Anyways, our testers are also trying to recreate this so keep on bugging me and hopefully we can help you soon!

Before i go can i say that i kept an eye on the last couple of blogs & the overiding theme was that people we`re really happy to get george michael careless whisper @ the start of oct….boney m ma baker @ the end of oct & now dire straits on this 1 which proves that the 70s & 80s classics still go down a treat on singstar so please more if you can!! I have written in a few scathing comments this last couple of months but i have to say this update is the best for a while even though i have most on disc…..If you get a chance nina could you please have a look over the large list of songs i submitted over previous blogs as a few other people recomended them to you as well……Keep up the good work.

p.s Please,please,please could you try & get the smiths this charming man for me, i had it on disc for the ps2 & still get asked for it quite a lot @ partys…….and breatheeeeeee lol

Ah Stay by Shakespeare’s Sister. Well done London Studio, that was certainly a tactical release. I bet that song jumped up the release schedule considering it’s recent airing on a certain TV show that, no doubt, most of your player base watches avidly. lol
