The PS3‘s massive, ever-changing global war just got bigger! Starting today our “Escalation Add-on Pack” introduces the exciting three-faction “Escalation” game mode that throws Raven, SVER and Valor into simultaneous battle on three brand new maps. As an added bonus, Escalation owners also get their hands on nine exclusive new weapons — including assault rifles, sniper rifles, and machine guns! The best part? All this can be yours for the low, low price of €7.99.
Gamers that play any of our add-on packs between November 2 and November 14 get additional XP bonuses. Specifically, anyone who plays Interdiction or Escalation within that timeframe earns a +200% bonus with every finished match. We’re also including an all-around +100% bonus for playing any MAG mode within the same time frame. In other words, it’s going to be a MAG XP frenzy!
One last thing we want to mention before we go, is how Escalation fits into MAG’s storyline. Followers of the game’s mythos have been asking us, and it goes a little something like this:
“The Neuvonics Corporation has collapsed in the wake of rapid expansion and spending on cutting-edge energy facilities around the world. Three of their most prized investments are up for grabs after on-site personnel walked out late last week. It stands to reason that the security contract for these facilities will go to the company who possesses them, which is why Valor, Raven and SVER operatives are currently en route.
Once the dust settles, if their energy production remains intact, the PMC in control stands to make a fortune from these contracts in the years to come.”
For additional details regarding Escalation’s gameplay, including a detailed description of the game mode itself and the maps within, check our list of links below. Enjoy the new content!

I don’t like that the DCL contains new weapons – especially not if they give players carrying those an edge.
Give the weapons as a free patch and charge for escalation imo, players should be on equal footing regardless of any DLC they’ve bought.

doubt I’ll be getting it because how small the Interdiction count seems to be,I’ll keep checking the numbers,but they’ll need to have a decent count over the next month before I decide.

I stopped playing the beta due to all the stupidly fast knifers. Did they change it so each faction is a different colour? Also Zipper really need to implement an option to join mic only squads and a system where the squad leader loses leadership if they don’t set fragos. At the moment games with randoms are often silent and the SL doesn’t move the frago off the burn off tower all game. Usually people quit out or kick the SL. It can be both the best of games and worst of games.

still no women?

We would love to include female models in the game, but the memory budget just wouldn’t allow that AND 256 players, sorry Hazel.

@Mattsta001
Join a clan.
Seriously, MAG gets a lot better if you find a nice clan to play with. I can recommend Raven’s EYE (search facebook for it), they’re somewhat casual but still serious, meaning that the core of the clan are really good competitive players but they don’t care if you suck as long as you’re not a jerk.

I sold MAG about 5-6 months ago but now really regret it! I loved it so much, but thought it wouldn’t have much of a following or support throughout the year. Guess I was wrong… might see if I can pick this up now somewhere!

It’s on store right now. Downloading it as I type this. It’s about time. Can I ask why the DLC was delayed? Patch wasn’t ready?

Just usual game development niggles. Apologies for keeping you guys waiting, but as a compromise we managed to get it published to the Store ahead of next Wednesday.

Cheers SCEE/Zipper you give all your love to America and basically put two fingers up to the rest of your loyal customers.
Why not charge us double the price as the Yanks and do a real number on us!!!

There is no point of buying Interdiction DLC then because with Escalation release even less people will play Int. Full price for semi-dead EU game mode? Naaaah.

memory’s the problem then, not enough for two genders?
maybe if there’s a sequel it could be women only.

So how much does it cost this time in AUD? The Aussie dollar is stronger than the US dollar, so shouldn’t that mean it is either the same price or cheaper?

@Maccaz15 second that.
“PlayStation Plus Members receive special bargains as well. Through December 14, “PS+” members can purchase Escalation at the discounted price of $7.99 and Interdiction at half price, for only $2.50!”
$10.50 AUD that’d be sweet and $13.20 NZD thats cheaper than one of them atm…. damn. please modify your prices! thanks

Waiting for the price to go down, but since I like to get in to games, I will probably wind up buying the DLC once I get the game anyway

Thanks for the finger SONY EU… Apart from the Starter pack or the Amazon .com deal, the US and Japan have cheaper Interdiction DLC and we get nothing… Rip off EU ?
We bought 277,000 copies in EU of MAG and I wonder how many of us who are still playing you managed to alienate again.
